Thank you for having me as well. I am soaking up and enjoying every bit of it, side quest and main alike. Flipz, I don't know how many pages of pms you've got going (you don't have to reveal anything!) but I believe Zepher can handle mine easily.

Purpearl's ready to go herself, but she doesn't know if the others had rested before. After all, they're on a quest, not a vacation. "I'm with Alexis. Let's move on."

"It is also good to know that I wasn't taken apart in the first place."

OOC: Zepher, please check my last post in the pm and update accordingly. Thanks! Purpearl follows XX out onto the road and sees her party. Obviously, there isn't much to say or do to the rest. Purpearl does a quick head count and turns to Alexis, "Thank you for covering. If everyone's well and rested, let's go."

Following the others in near pitch darkness, Purpearl lights a small fire and finds something interesting... Purpearl Berthadhiell puts her name down for the raffle.

Turning to the Captain, Purpearl bows respectfully and speaks, "Captain, my name's Purpearl Berthadhiell and I believe there is a misunderstanding. I believe we have no intentions to raise arms against the Watch. I am sure you've worked with Heroes of Heroica and you should be very familiar with how our organisation works. I apologise for the mess inside, but I believe we took down the notorious Strong Chested Bors who captured Lord Aventine. We have very good reasons to believe that Lord Aventine is being transported to R'kilf for execution. We were tasked to protect Lord Aventine and I believe your guards misinterpreted the situation entirely. Time is of the essence here. I am willing to stay back in Eubric if you need me for further investigations, but I urge you to let my party set off for R'kilf immediately. " Turning to Alexis, "Should anything happen to me, please take care of the rest."

Purpearl follows Alexis. She turns to Matthias, "What are you doing, Matthias? Pick up your belongings and let's get out of here."

Purpearl refuses and swings a dagger at Andrew, "Don't force my hand, human."

Purpearl continues to shut Andrew out and directs her words at the other guards, "I will not come with you, nor will I fight members of the Watch."

Continuing to ignore Andrew, Purpearl replies to the other guards, "You will come to understand in due time, but Lord Aventine's life is at stake. Every minute that passes by is a step closer to his death. You are witnesses to that when we first met, so we aren't lying. We can come with you, but at what cost? We're dealing with people who deals with demons. When those demons descend on your city because we fail to stop this impending calamity, no amount of guards that you have will work against it. Let us go."

Purpearl turns her gaze at Bert and Thistlethorp while directing at the fallen orc and dwarf, "I have no interest in these assailants." Black sheep. Purpearl ignores Andrew as she heads towards the door. "Heroes, we're leaving for R'kilf. Grab your belongings."

OOC: No worries Zepher, players will still get the bulk of the loot, although if the NPCs have performed well, it is hard to not recognise it in character. But everyone can rest easy because no equipment loot will go to NPCs, ever. Purpearl turns to Andrew, "We have done nothing wrong. There are people out there who are just envious of our unrivalled natural abilities. We are just merely acting in self defence. There is no wrong in defending yourself when someone tries to attack you, is it not?"

Purpearl hands Matthias a soma and 5 gold. "We don't have a phoenix essence, but here's something to make it up." Turning to the non-heroicans, "I don't do this often, but we cannot let these two slow us down either. So, here's something for your contributions." Purpearl continues to toss the loot to everyone and turns to her party "We might be close, but we are not there yet. Get some rest. We set off early tomorrow, if everything goes our way." "Don't feel like you're obliged to attack the dwarf. If it is more of a personal reason rather than a strategic one, be bold with it now and have a good rest upstairs. "He's not going to let those nostrums and smelling salts to waste, is he? Unless we neutralise those effects, I reckon, he's planning to drag this out, just as Chauncey directed him to."

Purpearl remains unwavered, "How do we know Chauncey didn't send you here to mess with us? If you are truly innocent, I will let you die an honourable death. Take your own life."

I always imagine Purpearl to be a Wood Elf with human upbringing (for a few decades before she lives alone in the forests where her foster parents found her). She takes after some of the personality traits from her elvish parents from time to time and of course "epigenetics" play a huge part in her development as a person an elf.

Purpearl notices the little commotion surrounding the dwarf. The Elven Mage shakes her head. "Attempting to offer us something that doesn't belong to you. What a pity, dwarf. Unless you tell us everything you know about your job, about Chauncey and where you keep all your gold, I might consider otherwise." Purpearl signals Midge and Russel to fall back and the others to advance. "Always. Always remember the medallion that hangs around your neck. Time. Is not our friend." OOC: Zepher, I edited the BO two hours before the round was run and Purpearl used Scroll of Confusion on Sneezy, not Bors (not that it matters. You don't have to edit the round, just letting you know that such a thing existed). I will make it clearer in the future i.e. repost the BO to reflect any changes. Cheers. OOC: It is really up to us how we want to approach this. We can either spread out our attacks or focus the majority of our attacks on one. Bear in mind Bors is lucky and Sneezy will get lucky pretty soon so unless we drink nostrums to cancel out their lucky effects, we probably won't be very effective in our attacks. Zepher, can we have clarification/ruling on how Sneezy's dual strike work as an opponent? Will his dual strike strike the hero attacking it twice or will it strike the hero once and the hero next in the BO? How about free hits?

"Those were Magnar's last words as well." Purpearl taunts as she casts Scroll of Confusion at Sneezy from the back row. Turning to her party, XX attacks Sneezy with Hand Cannon from the back row. Russel & Pigley attacks Sneezy twice with Crabspirator from the back row. Midge attacks Sneezy with Magnar's Axe from the back row. Turning to Samuel, Purpearl hesitated as the sight of the paladin reminds her of Raguel. Not wanting to associate herself with Raguel and his paladin disciple for the time being, she signals to Nerwen, "Guide him and don't let him fall." Purpearl rises from her seat and approaches the orc. Remarking at him, "Amicably you say, did you amicably take Aventine from us? Amicably. Attempting to negotiate when you've got nothing to offer other than information we already knew. How about you and your little buddy there strip bare of everything you have got, including your weapons, shields, and every covering you've got on to us and I'll consider letting you go? We're all trying to protect ourselves here. Then again, who are we to say you won't seek reinforcements once you're out of here? That would put us in a very bad position, wouldn't it? Purpearl pretends to ponder for a second. "It's a pity you're on the wrong side. Treasure every breath from now, my dear orc and dwarf. Treat each one as your last, because today is not your day."

Purpearl moves away from the bar as Sam and Keith heads out. She finds an empty table to sit on as she waits for everyone to turn in for the night before doing so herself. Her left index finger drums the medallion in a irregularly irregular manner while she holds the bedroll on the other hand. As she dips herself into the endless sea of possibilities that might come about, words of Irisa interrupt her chain of thought from time to time, as though serving as a reminder of some sort.

"Sometimes people have the means but they are not committed one way or another, that's when people like you and me come in to fill the gap. In the end, they are happy and you put food on the table to keep yourself going." shrugs Purpearl. "It is hard to come by people like Keith, Sam. Sometimes for a team to work, there needs to be someone that lead and others to follow. Can't fill up a team with people who always want to call the shots, can you? But I suppose for a duo, it's flexible."
