  1. Excellent work! I've been working on a Shaun of the Dead figure myself and this is simply great. I love the red on his pocket.
  2. Those sets do sound interesting to say the list although I just can't stop thinking about some of the godawful and almost un-LEGO figures.
  3. Great work on this. I love what I see! The bit of rock work is nice. Landscaping has got to be one of my favorite things to to with LEGO. I like the idea behind this to although that pirate seems quite happy to just be finding knowledge when like most pirates I'm sure he craves gold. I guess that's what makes this MOC though. The transition of water is good and the transition from water to the beach also looks great. All the pirates looks set for adventure and ready to find it. The photography is a little misleading with this creation though. I mean the creation is great, but when I first look at it and see the lines and nicks in the poster board I go "Aw not a weird MOC, I was hoping to see something cool" that is just a first reaction though. Especially since it all looks good. The rock work also looks a little 'to' uniform for my taste. It all goes steep slope, less steep slope and then vines. Mix it up a bit and get creative with it. Just make it all flow. Other than that awesome entry and I can wait to see what else you have in store for PTVII. :pir-skull:
  4. Excellent entry! A great idea complimented by even better buildings skills. The chandelier is great. The dark brown is used as highlights and I love them! I also like the ideas used for the floor along with the women. (I think that emoticon fits here) Anyway the crimson curtains look lovely. Brilliant idea in making them. Even the pirates look great, especially the posing of each and everyone of them. I do feel that some of the walls could be a little more interesting, maybe some maps on the wall or additional candles. (After all it does get dark at night). The horns also look great and take up some of the wall space, but maybe an entire buffalo would look good with those horns. The beds are also nice, but having them look so different from each other is a little odd. Maybe making them the same would help, but either way it would still work. Maybe one still needs to be covered in sheets. Anyway excellent entry and I love some of the parts you've used and especially in the ways that you've used them. Not a dull-minifig in this entry.
  5. 100a Normally I would use PhotoBucket, but something went wrong with sizing these to fit in the 800x600 limit. Each photo is a link to flickr. With the seas beginning to calm down and the pirates not knowing when the day will come that they can pillage again they have decided to leave their original captain in a form a mutiny. BrickBeard is left no long in his Captains uniform on a stray beach. For Pillage the Village II: Calm After the Storm. (Again for those of you who don't read the topic. Small Category... Also read about it at my blog and on flickr. Happy not-Pillaging! :pir-skull:
  6. Excellent work! I think that torso decal was from VidGamer. I think you can also see him on Flickr under ('Vid).
  7. I will have to be placing some bids. Thanks for sharing with us continuously Zorro!
  8. I went to TRU yesterday to find that at my TRU I would only get 15% off no matter what set I bought and no free promo-brick. I heard one man give the cashier a hard time for his 30%, but apparently it only applied to sets that were over $100. Although I did end up leaving with some free poster for the Clone Wars it certainly wasn't worth my time going for sets I didn't really need.
  9. Nice work. I can't wait to see where else you go with this. Excellent work.
  10. Are we allowed to throw our own names into the melting pot. BrickParts - Excellent shipping for a very low price. At least it was when I ordered back in June. KoCC - Excellent quality items. Highly recommended! ICHIBAN - Outrageous shipping. It cost me about $8 for a small package and an order size of only $10. Products were in good condition. Chal's Brick House - Excellent shipping and prices. No problems whatsoever.
  11. Haha! Another excellent and hilarious entry. I love the saddened pirate with his small little fish. Brilliant use of that head. I like the building, but maybe some brickwork with headlight bricks (used with the cylinders at the top of the building) and 2x1 tiles scattered around would really give the scene a 1500's - 1600's type of feel. The waves may also be better off with some SNOT work using either more tiles or even blue bricks on there sides would work. The wave effect is also great although the trans-blue doesn't really sit well with me as you have regular blue with some of the cylinders and then trans-blue for others. I do like the white wave effect though. Keep up the work.
  12. "Hey guys looks Bionicle and Galidor had a baby!" "It must take after Galidor though, 16 parts for $18!" I will not be buying these with prices at over $1 a brick! I don't think that they're motorized either. Where would you store a motor in and action figure.
  13. I do have one self-made torso in the works. Its actually based off one of my own shirts: I just usually find making and modifying official torsos somewhat easier than coming up with some of my own ideas. The shapes are planned, colors, etc.
  14. Aren't we quick to post such a massive entry into the large category. And I must say it is a fantastic entry for how quickly it was completed in. The tiled water is a nice idea (in fact so nice I may have to use it ) although I do feel with brick/plate water you can usually integrate the waves/color of the water a little bit better, but it still does look great. The idea is hilarious as well. Who would've thought the Redcoats would turn to Rum Runners without any work. I also feel this MOC needs a little SNOT work. Its so large its hard for my eyes to take in all of the studs such as on the mountain. A few more slopes could quickly fix that, but still amazing work. I can see this on the prize list already.
  15. I guess I'll just quote what I said on Flickr. (Double entries Ftw! ) "Almost a little violent which I must say I love about this although I'm not sure if it fits the calming gentle theme. " I'll also add and say having the gun and angry/determined look on her face almost make me think of her as some wench murderer. I do love your entry though and I really love the photography. As for posting the photos you can use (image tags) You would do something along the lines of (IMG Tag)flickr link of you image can be found under 'All Sizes' (Its just the URL. The second link listed)(/IMG Tag) Only remove the tag and replace () with [] I think if you do use flickr then you have to also link back to your photo though.
  16. Fun concept nice work! I think the water gets a little dark to fast. I suggest removing the blue altogether, but maybe a little more transition from the light blue to the immediate dark blue would help. The sand on the beach is a nice touch and the bar is fantastically well put together. The plume in Trans-Orange is a little misplaced. Is his hat on fire or something. I would suggest changing it to a different color or just removing it all together. Great entry and I can't wait to see what else you have in store for PTVII.
  17. Here are an attempt at the recent Atlantis decals. Unfortunately all I have are the legs of the explorer. They can also be found in my BrickLink store as well. EDIT: 'Scuse the double post.
  18. Hmm. Maybe Trains & Town would be more appropriete. I was a little undecided when I posted it as this was a car as if being made from concept art for the future, but maybe not quite far enough in the future to be Sci-fi.
  19. Thanks, I'll try to get some more pictures up in the next day or two, but for now I have a Ribauldequin!
  20. I will definitely be buying the Alumnite as soon as I save up the $60 to buy is all. I let you all know when I get some more WIP pictures or when casting starts.
  21. The contest is in the <a href='http://www.flickr.com/groups/falloutlego/'>LEGO Fallout Group</a> on flickr. I really liked designing this fig and I may try one or two more random wastelanders.
  22. I've been looking into it as well. As far as templates go I know MMCB on BrickShelf has some template and his store as well. I also think that at local fabric stores you should be able to find fabric that you can simply run right through your printer. I'll let you know if anything else comes up.
  23. A seeminly lost and wandering man with two gleaming eyes showing beneath his metal-black helmet and a face never seen to the living... I have played Fallout (my lack of X-box could be one reason) all of one time and with the recent contest I'm glad accuracy to a specific character is not in effect. Customs use here include: Custom Painted Helmet Headlight/Gas Mask by BrickForge Gun and gun accessories by BrickArms. Sanded Chain Saw Blade
  24. This ship is an epic win. Simply beautiful!
