  1. Lego Train part, 73112
  2. I'll get this one for sure. And regarding comments about lack of battle damage, too clean and so on. All vehicles were new from factory at some point, consider this one as a newly delivered speeder for the Rebel fleet
  3. I'm with you on this. At first I wan't much interested in NK when it was released. But getting a set for my kid, and then looking a bit closer at the other sets, I realised that NK is a great base for space MOCs.
  4. Indeed a very clever and inspiring build! Well done :)
  5. That is... crazy. A visit to a museum here in Sweden is usually free, or around $5-10 for some museums depending what kind of exhibition they have at the moment. Art and history should be available for all, no matter where on the social ladder you are.
  6. Not an expert but applied a few stickers through the years :) I use the sharp end of a brick separator when I handle the stickers. No oil from my fingers, and it gives me more precision when applying the sticker. Make sure you wipe off fingerprints and dust from the brick. Try not to touch the surface at all where the sticker is supposed to go. And usually I put the brick on a larger, easier to handle brick to keep it steady. Good light is also important so shadows don't trick you into putting the sticker misaligned. I have a few badly aligned stickers as proof of that :)
  7. Really great set, this one. Built mine the other day and had a blast doing it. I got a few of the first Classic Space sets when I was a kid, but never the big ships. They were too expensive. Well, finally I have a big ship :) Building this thing was a nice walk down nostalgia boulevard. Little details here and there reminding me of the old sets, but still with a modern approach and new fancy parts. I can highly recommend this to anyone who enjoyed playing with the Classic Space sets back in the day. My LL918 will look tiny next to this one...
  8. I've also recently returned to the wonderful world of Lego Technics, and I recognise much of what you said in your first post. During the autumn last year I got the Supercar, 8070, and I was impressed with what you can do with these new parts. But at the same time I felt like such a newbie. Last time I got a new Technics set was somewhere around '85 or '86, quite a few years ago :) I agree on the colours, grey and black are hard to tell apart from each other. I think black was more black in the old instructions (like the 8860). And I wouldn't mind at all if all axles were the same colour. After 25+ years in The Dark Ages, I still had no problem picking out an 8L, 10L or a 12L axle just by sight. Besides, on every page in the new instructions where you have an axle or a beam they also print a comparison picture. Back then they only had one picture for the axles, on the front page :) I really love building these new models, but so far I haven't really gotten around to making my own models. It's a new way of thinking that I have to get used to. But I've got plenty of practice ahead of me, so far I've also purchased 8043, 8110, 8258, 9394, 9396, 9398 and 42007. Many hours of wonderful building ahead of me :D Oh btw, it wasn't a Technics set that brought me out of the Dark Ages. It was a ... VW :) I highly recommend the 10220 set, so much fun building and a wonderful piece to put on a shelf somewhere. The 9396 that you're building was my second set of the 'new' Technics age, and it was a really fun but also frustrating build. I managed to flip an axle and a cog for the rotor. Took me half an hour to fix without having to take apart the whole thing :) Good luck, and keep building!
  9. Great, thanx for quick reply! It probably is the kit 6969, Celestial Stinger, that we have here. I've seen some of the other special parts from that pic in the bag of LEGOs we got. Cheers!
  10. Hello everybody, new member here. Yesterday I bought an IKEA-bag full of LEGO pieces for my gf's kid, some 13kg I think it was. Very mixed pieces, from the 70's up to mid- late 00's. Not in very good condition, unfortunately, but got the lot for a good price. There's one piece I can't figure out where it belongs (no instructions included at all) and I hope you can help me with this task :) It's a battery powered piece, two AA batteries. Three buttons that causes two LEDs to flash and different sound effects to play. I've attached a picture of the piece. Thanks in advance!
