I'll add my voice to the choir, - 'What a beautiful steam locomotive Commander Wolf!'
-
Your coach looks very handsome indeed in that colour scheme, The darker green and blue accents are the perfect touch in my opinion.

A beautiful church that's settled so well into its surroundings. Your use of plates to represent the brickwork takes this MOC into scale model territory and there are so many lovely details I don't know where to begin.

2013 Friends Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Locomotive Annie replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Cool, thanks for posting the link -
I only discovered Lego in middle age and never played with it as a child (The closest thing was a small Betta Builder set that was given to me when I was 12), - so I'm still very much learning about the wide variety of themes available under the Lego brand. However the impression I'm getting is that there are themes enough for at least one of them to appeal to anyone who wants to build things with plastic bricks. Speaking for myself many of the licensed themes don't float my boat at all, but I happen to like City and Trains and just recently I discovered Friends and I absolutely love this new theme. However the last thing I would do is get up and start knocking other themes that I'm not interested in. Here in New Zealand the range of Lego sets that can be readily purchased is pretty darn poor and they are generally quite expensive as compared with prices in other parts of the world. I live in a rural town well away from the main centres so it is a little annoying when on a rare trip into the city I find myself near a Lego stockist and they just plain don't have anything I want on the shelves despite the money smouldering away in my pocket. But however annoying that might be I'm not about to say things like, 'If Lego didn't make Star Wars/Toy Story/Chima/Ninjaro/& etc then there would be room for more City and Trains on the shelves and I wouldn't be walking out of the shop disappointed. Something I would like to see though is more starter type brick sets as well as plain brick assortments on the shelves. We don't have PAB here and Bricklink is expensive because postage to New Zealand from just about everywhere is never cheap. Most NZ stockists will have the starter sets and brick packs listed in their on-line stores, only they are always out of stock and it takes forever for them to restock.

I like the use of the minifig bases on the gondola :)
-
That's a really cool railcar MOC, - I particularly like the way the doors open.
-
That is just so cool. Working crossing barrier arms just add so much to a railway layout project.

True enough, there are no end of prototypes for that scenario. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uC67YZ9_l4

MOC: Metro de Madrid. Classic Cars and more
Locomotive Annie replied to James_T_Menendez's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I really like the vintage appearance of these metro cars. -
Holes in the wall to let the trains run through! Don't give me ideas My house is my own and I don't have to ask permission of anybody so I constantly have to keep myself in check when it comes to layout planning.

That's one massive looking prototype and you've managed to capture that appearance really well.

MOC Modular Building - LBGS (Lego Bank of the Golden Scorpion)
Locomotive Annie replied to niteangel's topic in LEGO Town
What an amazing bank with so many excellent details. The gold trimmed exterior with the fountain is pure genius and the working elevator is a terrific space saving idea in a 16 wide building. I always thought that snake people crane would make a good conversion MOD to a City crane and I may just do that myself now that I've seen your one.- 31 replies

Friends 41019 Turtle's Little Oasis - A 7 year old's view
Locomotive Annie replied to nebraska's topic in LEGO Town
Oh that's lovely. I haven't purchased any of the Friends animal polybags yet so perhaps I should now that I've read your daughter's review. -
Yes a great video, - your loco looks very solid and powerful.
-
Yes the decals finish your loco off very nicely. I add my vote to seeing your loco on video too

That's a really nice Forney Spitfire. They are another favourite loco of mine, we even had two of them here in New Zealand in the late 1890s. -
Mod: Emerald Night to Flying Scotsman
Locomotive Annie replied to Lazarus's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Classic 'blood and custard' livery, - very nice You'll be needing a train of about four of those at least to compliment your Scotsman. -
Mod: Emerald Night to Flying Scotsman
Locomotive Annie replied to Lazarus's topic in LEGO Train Tech
An amazing contrast to the stock Emerald Night and definitely an improvement. The tenders look better with their height raised to match the cab roof too. Your son is going to be one lucky four year old -
What an excellent MOC I love it Experimental steam locos like the ACE are fascinating and give wonderful 'what if' opportunities for building motive power that definitely isn't 'same old same old' and boring. Great to see your own version of this loco too Zephyr.
