I'd like to echo that. Maybe it's just host anxiety, but I feel that my quest is dragging it's feet, which is too bad because I was really excited about it. As we reach the month long mark... well, I just hope you guys aren't getting bored!

Round One Factory Two Fight Results Dyric v. Guard H - Special Damage Tensi v. Guard D - Critical Hit Skrall v. Guard G - Special Damage Hans Felton v. Guard A - Hit Haldor v. Guard C - Critical Hit Free Hits Guard E v. Dyric Guard F v. Tesni The battle commences. The fighting is quick and brutal. Dyric is stabbed in the gut as Guard H ducks under his chain (-2), and Tesni lops off an arm and leg of Guard D, leaving him to bleed out quickly. Skrall tries to fire off a bolt but Guard G rushes forward and knocks the bow upwards, so that the bolt lodges in the ceiling. Skrall's arm is nearly dislocated in the process (-2). Felton's sword is quick and fast and slices a cut down Guard A's left arm (-7), which causes him to scream out. Haldor successfully caves in his target's brain as Guard E and F each stab at Tesni and Dyric, the first of which blocks the blow with her shield (-1 & -6). The Curse of IMHOTEP - Sign Up Thread
Zepher replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
And here I was not even going to read this thread... ...for who? ME?! Because I hosted 42 friggin characters. I think that was a fun game. But Fugazi should have won. I've never mentioned it, but if he had just lynched the scum and killed the town in the night, he would have won. Again, I think that was a twisty game. I learned a lot. This is why I don't post at 12 anymore. Skimmed a freaking PM, missed one line, dead Werewolf. See... how can I do that and Werewolf?! Who knows. That was my favorite trick. I think that may be one of the only times I laughed at how clever I am in my entire life. I too was going to take a break, but you know, what the hell. I like Pandarufus, and I like these players, and I like mafia. 1) I mean, a good half of these posts are about me playing in games, so I'd say I've played a fair amount. 2) I'll be on. I'm always on. Screw school. And sleep. And eating. Also, I am in Hamlet (King Claudius, yay), so full disclosure, I'm going to be going crazy, but it's never stopped me before! 3) My best moments in Mafia were MCI where Draggy let me sub in like the day I joined EB, MCII, tricking Shadows and Hinck was beautiful, hosting my own game, made me appreciate all of you a ton more, and Werewolf, where I learned to take these games easy. Also, I really enjoyed playing in Prison Riot, a small number of all-star players was too much fun. -
Heroica RPG - Quest#22: Winter Problems

Ooc: Free hits don't miss ever, but I do not take damage because of my sentinel position, which is what I believe you meant to say. I still mess up battles, and I'm on my second quest hosting adventure, so don't worry about it. Boomingham whips out his kerchief and mops his face. Even in the cold he has begun to sweat from the battle. He turns to Jeff and Shash. "Same orders and order, gentlemen." -

"Full on attack! I've got all your backs, so don't be afraid to really dash in there this round. Since we hardly got to do anything last round, let's all keep the same targets and order." -
Most of the time, while I'm watching Brickfilms, I have to remind myself that they are brickfilms and not real films, so I must accept them as that. This is genius. I feel like I am watching a real movie. I am only 3 minutes in and I already love it, the characters, story, everything. It even got me to laugh, which rarely happens with online videos. Bravo. And, before I forget... the angles of the shots, the lighting, the cuts, seriously, this is just perfect. I love the scene interspersing his call to his friend with the police cars, the lighting is perfect for the scene and the cuts between the phone, him talking, and the cars are perfect. In the end when the door opens right before the cut away, again, perfect. And now, 11 minutes in, you actually did a touching scene (again with beautiful lighting). This is superb.

"You are under arrest for aiding rebel forces. You have been charged with the freeing of the dangerous enemy of the town, Gregor, and for attacking a caravan carrying vital supplies. We have been informed of who you are. Skrall, the Ogre, Tesni, the Nord, Dyric, the rogue, and Haldor, the Nord. Please come with us quietly." As Tesni draws herself up to full height, Guard B squeaks and hustles off, but the other guards stand fast.

OoC: I've got a shield. It should absorb 5 points of that 9 point hit. Also, I believe you meant to write "Damage" for Jeff instead of "Hit". Damage means that the player got hurt, hit means they did damage. "Alright, not too shabby, boys. Once more, once more. Let's split these jokers up. Jeff, Shash and I will attack Ice Spider Warrior A from the front row, and Marvelo, you may lead Benji and Heinike against the other bloke. Let's get ready to rumble!" Boomingham kissed his shield and whispered a quick thank you to Umbra before calling out. "Same formation (battle order)!" -
<I'm sorry, your bed-roll should have healed you.>

Before the heroes can do anything, guards pour into the room. "You are under arrest. Please come quietly. Surrender your weapons. We are not to harm you." Zepher replied to Bricksandparts's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Alright boy-os, I got a plan, but it may be a little risky. Since those spider chaps have their commander protected, I say we knock them out before we even bother to attack him. That way he won't be able to summon any extra spiders either. So, everyone, kill the Warriors BEFORE the Commander, and I'll stand in front and use my shield so I don't take full damage from this commander when he attacks because no one blocks him. Everyone understand?" Jeff, and Shash attack Spider Warrior A from the front row, while Boomingham drinks a mead. "And Heinike, if you're using the bow, you should attack from the back row, chappo." Thin flames run up and down Boomingham's sword as he holds it out, trying to shed some light. He tries to wag it over the hole, but it seems to not be able to light anything. "Worth a shot. Down the rabbit hole we go." Boomingham sheaths his sword and tentatively steps onto the ladder. It groans slightly, but holds. "Should be safe for y'all if it can hold me." -

"Nice work gents! I'll hang onto the key, and Mr. Marvelo, I'm going to go right ahead and assume you want the dual staff here! Put it to good use, my boy." Boomingham sheaths his sword. "Nice of the snow monsters to not bleed, not too hard to clean off my blade. Well, off to the blue area then!" -
"Sounds alright to me, but do not forget what we are really here for. These factories are Chaos Factories, whatever military weapons you see them producing are merely a front. The real purpose of these factories is to create Chaos, which will in turn flourish into Chaos Beasts, though the poor factory workers have little idea what they are truly producing."
-
<Before I forget, WBD, you never divi'd up the 100 gold from the Jail Keep.> The guard turns to Skrall Cronk. "What's there to be confused about? We caught Fredrick Reich, just yesterday! A few buddies of mine say they fought him themselves. Hahahaha." Just as the guard is talking, Head of Guard McColt comes out of the factory and clears his throat. The guard snaps to attention. Upon seeing the large group, he takes a moments pause, looking thoroughly confused. His eyes rest on Felton for a few seconds, trying to piece something together. "Hello... hello mercenaries. I would like to thank you for your work the other day. I was just informed this morning that you and Felton had cleared the factory together... forgive me, I think I'm losing my head. There's too much to keep track of with these damn rebels everywhere. Preparing for war is... hard, to say the least. May Oleg protect you, heroes." McColt turns to leave, and then, thinking better of, returns to the heroes. "Here, as a thank you for clearing the factory and saving many guard's lives in the process. A reward of... thirty-five gold is all that I have on me. Being a guard doesn't pay as well as the public seems to think it does." McColt turns again, and seems to nod at the group in general. "Good luck, see you soon, I think." The heroes proceed into the factory. As the last factory seemed to make potions and other restoratives, this one seems to specialize in bombs. Each hero may take one. Military Grade Fire Bomb – Causes 10 points of fire-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to fire. Military Grade Ice Bomb – Causes 10 points of ice-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to ice. Military Grade Lightning Bomb – Causes 10 points of lightning-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to lightning. Military Grade Water Bomb – Causes 10 points of water-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to water. Military Grade Holy Bomb – Causes 10 points of light-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to light.

The guard laughs. "The rebel's dead! Fredrick Reich. They burned his camp. You know, it's strange. Whoever turned him in didn't even take the reward! You'd think they would, it was a fair amount. They just told McColt where Fredrick was and didn't say who they were themselves. It's very strange."

"And one more time folks. Mr. Marvelo, I know the cold is piercing, but if you wouldn't mind pulling it together, that would be much appreciated. Jeff, please deal with the captain, Shash, Marvelo, please assist me in attacking the Snow Warrior A one more time. Benji, finish off the Captain with Jeff, if you don't mind too terribly! <Are you suggesting that you go visit another factory? You've already chosen your course for the day, sorry. I mean, you could go to another factory, but it won't be much difference, you have to go everywhere sooner or later... >

Boomingham laughs at the sight of his enemies. "These are the boogly wooglies that have been scaring everyone? I'll attack the Snow Captain from the front row, Jeff, Shash, you two are with me, in the front row too, chappos! Benji, back up Mr. Marvelo with the other boogly." Boomingham roars a fierce-some roar, or at least his version of it. Party Order Boomingham Mr. Marvelo Jeff Shash Heinike Benji -
The heroes trek through the mountains with Felton, feeling a little tired and depressed. "Hello, hello, travelers, Felton! What brings you here?! Did you hear that we caught one of those damn rebels yesterday? There was a tip-off, some anonymous source, put them right in our laps! By the way, Felton, those mercenaries you brought in sure earned our respect after they defeated that ghoul in the factory. Thank god they got rid of it. Though, word on the street is that they may not all be loyal, make sure you keep paying them lots, right? Hahahaha." What will the heroes do?

Boomingham draws his sword. "Let's see what these snowy boogly wooglies are all about?" Boomingham approaches the noise. He glances over at Mr. Marvelo, from his last quest. "If these monsters truly are snowy, fire would be the best way to deal with them. Let's bring the heat of the desert into their icy hearts." Boomingham then turns to Benji. "Time to earn your stripes, boy." -
"I hate to tell you this, but we have no way of tracking them down. That prison that you just broke Gregor out of... well, at this point Haddon has a number of political prisoners, and the prisons are scattered all over the mountains. We'll never be able to find whichever one they may or may not be holding Hoke and Jess in. Poor Jess, she's in the same situation she put Hybros. Brrrr. I don't want to think about it. The best thing to do would be to continue to aid the rebels. Perhaps once we defeat the Guard, we'll be able to locate the rest of your party!" "I'll wring that McColt's neck when I find him."
-
And off pops the lock. "Thank you mates. Now let's get the hell out of here." The heroes swiftly exit the jail and Hans finds that they are in fact very close to the camp of Fredrick, though in the opposite direction than the one that they had set out in. Hans points the heroes in the direction of the camp... and the heroes cry out as they see pillars of smoke. Gregor, Poletad, Skrall, Hans, Dyric, Haldor and Tesni rush down into the miniture valley. The sight they are greeted with is not pretty. A few soldiers lay bandaged, many more, both Haddon Town Guards and Fredrick's soldiers, lay dead. Fredrick is cut in two. There is no sign of Hoke or Jess. "I am terribly sorry. Give us a few days to recover, and we will meet up with you." The heroes beat a hasty retreat back to their camp and prepare for the night. Soon they are asleep. The next morning, they awaken. The camp feels strangely empty. Day 5 - Visit Factories with Felton (2 Left), Visit Rebels with Hans (1 Left) SIR POLETAD - He may be used, in some circumstances, to sneak ahead, due to his small size, and see the strength/number of certain enemies. You may take him on 3 of the remaining 4 days, use him wisely.

Wren's melodic voice blares in the heroes minds. "Yes, because I would make the key to my lock the lovely word "Heho". That makes so much sense, heroes. Who found you little gems?"
