  1. Boomingham burps - a dangerous thing to do with all the alchohal in his breath. "What a start," he mumbles, nearly concealing the excitement in his voice. This was his element. He was back into the fight. Booming barels forward with ease through the crowd, sweaps the little invetor off his feet, and waddles away from the fire calmly. Barty zips along behind him. "Here I was thinking I'd get to see real science. This just looks like more magic. I've had enough of that for one life time."
  2. I'm travelling tomorrow and will be on regularly after that. Bd is free to control Lawrence until that time if the need arises!
  3. Its been a long time coming...
  4. And we're back baby! Aka, the 3rd Wren Quest is up. I would like to say two things: Any returnees are EXTREMELY welcome. I'd love to have one player from each Wren Quest so far. Also, this Quest will be the normal length of a Wren Quest, so if you look back over the other ones and think they're a little long for you, I understand.
  5. I'm sorry that I was in Paris for the weekend and stranded without internet. I still can't say much. I would have put in the effort if I'd been home. I know it's a sorry excuse, hope you're not too disappointed in my Hinckles, thanks for the great game witht the greaty conclusion. Fred, I was the first to point the finger at you, and I was damn right. Tammo, sorry I left the country and left you with the work of coordinating the non-demons without me. We were a damn fine team while I was still around. I really am very sorry I could't participate these last few days, but I was quite literally without a computer or phone or anything.
  6. Thank you for your trust Donna. I don't need to defend my vision clue. I'd be pissed if you doubted it and i made it up, but since I only recieved it, you should really be fighting with the voice in the sky. Sorry.
  7. We should play Witch Hunt again. We'd be much better this time.
  8. Boomingham mumbles in his sleep about his dislike for summons in the hall. The chair he is sitting in looks ready to give way. He has only left it over the course of the last few days to use the bathroom. Food and drink have been delivered to him, and sleep has come easily. "I crave stimulation... mumph... my brain is dead..." he mumbles before settling even deeper into the well worn cushions.
  9. Look, quite simply I knoz you're a demon, but I'm not waiting for you to admit it. Everyone knows all the facts I know. I think your plan to make me look like I took a leap of faith and outed one of my other demon and claimed I saw a random vision is crazy. I would have zero miotive for attention if I was a demon. I was not under pressure. I would have no need to draw attention to myself, especially not with these crack pot theories. I would frame the clues to make it look like they pointed to some one else, not make up a vision. Your denial of that seals the deal for me that you are a demon. HOWEVER, as far as I know, I don't have to convince the others. I'm safe and I know who to trust and who not to trust. It is quite literally your funeral if you don't trust me, but a gal's first duty is self preservation and the demons won't be touching me.
  10. Scuba, I'm loving the difficulty of these fights. It looks like the heroes are at the very least working for these victories! Everyone: I am on an exchange in France!
  11. I will be traveling for the next two days, and after that will be sort of spotty for two weeks... but should still be able to check in about once a day, if not more. Just a heads up! I'd feel more guilty, except when I signed up, I didn't know we'd still be going in April.
  12. Like I said, there will be tons more chances, though I'm really hoping for some returning heroes.
  13. I'm really hoping to get on WBD's too. It's a-okay to take a break from Wren Quests, there will be more! The final one... I'm still trying to think up ways to incorporate as many heroes as possible. That's the only one I think there might be a clamor for.
  14. Sorry DarkDragon, your quest looks awesome, but WBD's fits in better with my schedule, and I've really wanted to have him as a QM for a while. Though I'm incredibly envious of your rewards. ALSO: Heads up to heroes... or rather, players. Sign-ups for the next Wren quest will be up about a week from now... maybe a tiny bit more. Just to wet your appetite, here are some of the features: Wren, Hans, Felton, Vipera, and Poletad return, along with someone else from Quest 7. A few characters from previous non-Wren quests may making a guest appearance. Hopefully (fingers crossed) my best planned battles so far. Almost every battle has a twist to it, so those who liked the outrageously tough battles of Quest 19 OR the puzzles of Quest 7 will both be pleased. Logic and brawn will both be important. A beautiful non-Uland/High Kingdom setting, thus far unexplored by the heroes of Heroica. Finally not all humanoid opponents. ...and I'll save the best part to still be a surprise.
  15. Boomingham lurches to the Quest board and looks at the advertisements. He squints when he sees his name on Quest 27. "No no no no. That pompous little angel. He's not signing me up for anymore quests. No. I'm no errand boy." Boomingham crosses his name off of Quest 27. "This on the other hand..." "You need to go on that quest. It's part of the greater plan-" "Stuff it." "Trust me, Lawrence, this errand is important. I see more than you." "Stuff it, Barty." Barty swooshes right up to Boomingham's face. "I want you to do this delivery." "No. This one... this one here. This is the one for me. I am the best of the fair city. I should be there." "First of all, you are not the best of the city, and second of all, you should not be going to a party, you must run this errand." "Parties are connections, Barty. I'm a King without any money and without a kingdom. I'd like to change that." Barty battles Boomingham for the ink, but Boomingham easily signs his name for Quest #28.
  16. 1) Fred's, Diana's and Sheldon's gems. 2 green (evil), 1 red (good). Between chapters 5 and 6. 2) Fred's, Penny's, and Richard's gems. 1 green (evil), 2 red (good). Between chapters 6 and 7. Vote: Ingrid Peck (iamded) I'm trying to pick three reliable people. If we can clear three people, that would be perfect. I wish I could clear myself, but if no one else wants to know if I'm telling the truth, or lying... which seems pretty important to know, that's fine. I'm sure I'd be cleared. That would help us all. Willoughby said specifically that all the guests were accounted for.
  17. Barty, who seems to have taken over this job, signs up Boomingham for Quest #27. OoC: I know these are frown on in the hall, but this is important with my sign-up. I will be active, but less so, the 1st-14th of April. I thought that would be important to know when picking a party.
  18. Beautiful and charming and twisted as always. I look forward to this a ridiculous amount.
  19. 3. No clues that pointed to you specifically, just groups you were in. An easy way for a demon to avoid suspicion. You also only shared clues pointing to you when we thought the puddles might signify victims. 5. I'm not saying it's not a valid point. I'm thanking you for bringing it up. I think it does deserve careful consideration. I just think that the demon did start with a conversion. But everyone should consider if they believe this or not. Particularly consider this - could we find the original demon simply by investigating the first puddle? Also, why would the demon be bleeding randomly when we woke up. Unless they had just converted themself, that doesn't seem to make sense, especially since they killed the others before we got here.
  20. I will only respond to these ones. Not because your other points aren't valid, but because, like I said, I highly doubt I'll convince you that you're the demon, so aruging that over and over again won't be productive. I do believe you should have your say of course, I'm just personally unmoved for the time being. 3. You've looked for clues, yes, but isn't that what the demon would do so that no one else would be able to get them? 5. I assumed the blood puddle was not the original demon, but the first convertee. The demon wasn't created in this room, (s)he has been with us the whole time, so there won't be a blood puddle relating to them. That is an interesting point to discuss though. As for your final, un-numbered point... it bothers me too. It seems like a very clear give-away clue, and without the gem clues and the fact that I know I can trust Chris, I too would doubt it. It seems so clear-cut pointing towards you, and it also does contradict our vision from earlier. I can't explain why it is either of those things, because I only saw it, didn't create it. It is only along with the gem clues that I've reached the conclusion that you are suspect #1.
  21. You got me! I'm a demon. I've been sitting back quietly, but you're right, I felt like right near the end of the game, when I finally got people to trust me and vote to give me a clue, I'd make up a huge big story and draw all the attention to myself. Can't believe it didn't work. Shucks. I am not so vain, Fred, to think that I will make you admit that you are the original demon, but that's what I think. I have presented my facts, and the others may take them or leave them as they wish. All you say is "no, no, no" but do little to even begin the search for another demon, except against me, your accuser. You have no evidence for it. You are right. My argument is based in a faith in Chris, confirmed to me, but not to anyone else. If my argument is to be taken, the others will have to have faith that I would not do something this dumb if I was a demon. It is all on faith, so it is up to each individual member of the tour group to decide what they think. I have presented my findings as honestly as possible. In the first puddle of blood, I found dark blue fabric, by the way.
  22. 1) I'm sorry, you're right, I meant to say two glowed green (demons) and one glowed red (innocent). It's opposite another well known system, so I do actually personally confuse them from time to time. 3) Again, thank you for reminding me to clarify. Willoughby said all guests were accounted for. You are not one of those. You are the only person who is not one of those. I am not asking for clues. The system at the end of the day is more useful to us if we use to to vet for demons. I personally believe that when nominated, the three of us will prove clean. Or even safer, do Chris, Penny and I. If Diana is a demon, which I believe, then Penny is clean, since her gem glowed red in the batch of two red, once green. Finally, my trust in Chris CAN NOT be explained other than me simply saying I have been told by the voices in my head that I MUST trust him. The voices that enter from that hole in the top of my skull. From the Eskimos? You all remember it. I know that's not even close to helpful to any of you, but I don't have any other reason to trust him. OH! Yes I do! I looked into his eyes!!! Of course! Don't you remember that the other group said if you looked into the demon's eyes, like really really looked, you would know? I just realized when I resurfaced this time I saw his eyes, and that means that I would have known if he was a demon. I can't imagine why else that detail would have been included twice.
  23. I also suggest that today, when we nominate the group to receive clues from the monk, we nominate Chris, myself, and let's say, Sheldon. That way we could clear all of us, OR, Chris and I would know for a fact that Sheldon is a demon, which would in turn clear both Diana and Signourney. I think that's a plan everyone can get on board with.
  24. Red means good.... The person in the vision is holding a green gem because they've just been converted, I believe. You are, I admit, the demon who is least proven to be a demon, but I still think it's you and not Sheldon. And now for you dearie. Let's go ahead and tell you exactly why the case against you is so solid. Here are the clues pointing to you: 1) Your gem was thrown into the water by Chris, along with Diana's and Sheldon's. One glowed green (good), and two glowed red (demons). This was between Chapters 5 and 6, so we didn't know what that meant yet. Yesterday, the monk told us that red meant good, and green meant bad. I wanted to make sure that was true, so I pulled my own gem out in the water this time. It was red. I invite everyone else to do the same. 2) Between chapters 6 and 7, your gem was thrown into the water with Penny's, and Richard's. This time, only one glowed red, the other two were green. Chance? Maybe. I admit, it could have been both Diana and Sheldon as demons the first time, and then either Richard or Penny this time around... but... that seems unlikely. And I have a nail in the coffin. 3) Between chapters 6 and 7, I received a vision from our poor deceased Willoughby. Yes... the one you cited yourself. And for whatever reason, he seems to have changed his mind, because he confirmed for me that every guest was on the bus, and everyone on the bus was on the list. He seemed pretty certain of it. And so your claim as security detail is the condemning evidence. Now, the cases against the others. Diana, you seem to very clearly be a demon. You have just been outed as a liar by Donna. And your gem could be one of the two that glowed the first time the gems were tossed. Sheldon is the other option... which is what I think you'd like to have us believe. Sheldon and Signourey were both indicated by puddle 3, but suddenly, Diana to the rescue, you discovered red hair, confirming Sheldon. Only I think it's the other way around. I think you lied, and cleared Signourey. Besides, Sheldon would probably lead us in the charge of figuring out that the puddles meant conversions if he was a demon, where as he appeared clueless.
  25. If you don't mind me waiting, I'd like to hit all my pins with one ball. I'm in an all ladies over 35 bowling league. That was a bowling reference, in case you didn't get it. Where was I? Oh, yes. I'm waiting for someone to report to me, and then I will tell you what I think. I'm very close to knowing who you've converted to your side, but I would like to share all my information at once. Though of course, the fifth puddle has yet to be investigated at all, so that extra demon will be a bit of a thorn in my side. Also, I'd advise you to try to kill me or convert me, but I think you've missed your shot at that. I'm impervious to that, dear. Well, maybe not killing, but you don't have a chance of converting me. Sorry. Also, everyone else, our demon friend is getting very very very close. As in, I may have spotted him. Not Thomas, Vacuus. Which is bad for everyone except Thomas & Co.
