Is Em mute? I actually love the character choice. So silent, so cool, very interesting road to go down.

"Every second we waste now is a second lost. No time to explain entirely. If you find Everstien after the jump, he will be your guide. I do not have enough of the potion to retain my own memory. You will have to brief me each time. I assume this is your first go." "Correct." "Very real, very dangerous. Real consequences." "He is dead. We called the time so that you could mark when things were happening. You must remember. The amulets are rare, but from a friend. Had to take them from Dastan, very risky. Guffington made her promise to return them to the dragons afterwards, but I think she may have taken one for herself. Do not take the amulets off, or you may lose your brain." The heroes arrive at the foot of the stairs in a cramped space- cramped only because it is filled to the brim with potions, notes, gadgets, and many other things they don't recognize. Everstien closes the door behind them. "Remember heroes, I'm a professional problem solver. I have yet to fail a case." Everstien coughs weakly. "I hope Guffington's trust in you is not misplaced." Daneeka plunges a syringe into a plant and draws some fluid out. "Find Everstien. No one else will recognize you. Don't act strangely." He wheels on the heroes. "Ready? Remember, I will be at your service. Do not mention anything to anyone besides Guffington, Everstien or myself. Everyone is a suspect." Before they have a chance to respond, he pricks them each in turn with the needle. Everstien gets pricked last. He smiles maniacally at the heroes. "I love a good murder mystery," he wheezes, and then there is a flash of light and the heroes are momentarily blinded... ...the light recedes. "...and of course, thank Mercutio the marriage was called off. A mere folly, I assure you!" "No trouble, Gerald. It will of course be the normal deal, and I'll be staying for the party. A Selkreeth never refuses good drinks." "Of course, you'll stay, Zora. I'll just make sure that U'Or keeps an eye on you." "Won't both his eyes be glued to the Ladybug?" What would the heroes like to do?

A) You actually get to use them! and B) No, you can't take them off, and C) if you asked ANY of this stuff in thread, someone would have answered you there as well.
-
They're not designed against you guys, other than the obvious thing that I was trying to get rid of ONE of your artifacts! I figured it would make most sense for it to be an accessory, I didn't do that specifically to mess with you. At least you get a nice buff this time!
-
Hope you guys are ready for action, 72.

"Are you scampering off before the bloodshed starts? Why don't you stay and dance with us?" Boomingham draws his sword, looks at his party, and looks at the enemies. "Whenever everyone is ready."
-
"I have thought it through," she says stiffly, but then softens a little. "I'll certainly think about it. You seem to be a man with some sense, so your words have at least some weight. I only worry who they may sell them to, you must remember them funding that war in the North of Uland, but if we control the contract... I'll certainly think on it, Guts." Thomas walks by with his second load of drinks and serves one to Madame Ladybug. He turns to Guts and hesitates- he has already given out his first drink this round. Guts looks and see Guffington holding a huge glass and directing the other two servers towards whoever they're supposed to serve. "Guffington and I have never met before. My husband, Lord Marsh, insisted on coming, and said that I must come with him this time. I'm not unhappy that I did. Guffington is a wonderful host." The blue creature offers the Lady Marsh a drink, and continues on to Lady Felix. There is a sudden clatter and the female server drops the wine she is holding. She kneels down and collects the goblets. "I'm so sorry," she says sadly. "I'll get more immediately!" "Unprofessional," the creature buzzes from nearby. The lady, crying a few embarrassed tears, retreats back into the kitchen. "I believe they were headed to the High Kingdoms after stopping in Loush. As for my meeting them, Zane found me. He offered me information that I couldn't refuse. As for their words on you - well, Zane was not flattering, but XX song your praises, for the most part. They both told me to say hello if I ever ventured down to Eubric. So, hello." He smiles as Guffington calls all the heroes and guests togethers. "Now, has most everyone got a glass? Fantastic. Let's make it... to life?" Guffington takes a huge swig of the wine, and most everyone else with a glass does the same. "8:55," Daneeka remarks sadly to Docken, and then there is another crashing sound and Guffington tumbles to the floor. Thomas runs forward as Lady Marsh shrieks in shock. "He's dead!" exclaims the faun. The dining room erupts into confusion. Lady Marsh breaks down into sobs, and Lord Marsh turns his head sadly. Lord Chauncey double checks the body, and the blue bodied server rushes into the kitchen in fear. Lady Felix glances over at the heroes with a look of determination, but they have no time to react. Hybros and Docken feel a strangely strong hand holding their shouders, and both turn to see Doc Daneeka. "Follow me," he orders them firmly. Nyx and Guts feels sharp objects scratch their shoulders, but turn to discover Dr. Everstien holding onto them. "With me," he says. The two doctors lead the heroes out of the Dining Hall and through one of the first doors in the hallway. The begin to hurriedly descend some stairs. Doc Daneeka tosses each of them a necklace. "You must wear these. No exception." Beholder's Eye Necklace - Artifact, accessory. Allows one round of battle to be re-rolled once per quest.

Heroica RPG- Quest #68: A Night at the Theatre
Zepher replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Right you are! Free Hits before passive special. The round will be coming shortly, and I'll assume that he uses an essence instead of an incense. -
"What is your purpose here?" Boomingham asks officially, watching the weapons with an eagle eye. "How long have you served the Stealer of Senses?"
-
Boomingham's door swings open and their party leader stands there with a tired smile and in full armor. "Morning. What's the report?" he asks.

Althior has had afflicted all game. Though maybe I'm losing my head and you've never nurtured him. It's water under the bridge though, in this case, you're right, so it's as you say! -

The woman looks at the small Imp curiously. "I am Lady Marsh of Gull. I have not heard of this Heroica. Where is it? Do all of the people there look like you?" "Heroica is a Hall here in the city, the Hall of Heroes. They allow you to hire the heroes there for various acts of kindness." "Ah, I see." Lady Marsh stiffly shakes Hybros' hand, and Guffington excuses himself and walks towards the servers as they pour out of the kitchen holding goblets of wine. Erm... perhaps Docken should go work for the Ji Pei. He's smarter than the most advanced technological minds in the game. "Sounds like a good library. I would like to travel to see what other lands have to teach me. I think we will, sooner or later." Daneeka glances at the servers and then at the sky. "8:45." Thomas offers the doctor a drink. Daneeka accepts it, and Thomas turns to Docken, offering the second goblet. "A drink, sir?" "I am not interested in arming the masses with more and more powerful bombs. The Bonapartes have proven their necessity, what with the riots in the hovels recently. I am not interested in mass destruction, however, which I'm sure Samuel would bring with his distribution. Order is the work of nature and alchemy. If Samuel wishes to spread destruction and power, I advise he talk to the Zeigfrieds. That is their specialty." Chauncey nods sadly. "Gerald and I suspected as much. Such is the trouble with mortal Gods. As for our mutual acquaintance... I believe when you met him, you were on opposing sides, but the Orc named Zane is the one who spoke to me of you and your allies. He and his companion XX were very helpful. I paid them well for their information, admittedly." Chauncey accepts a drink from the serving girl. Nyx watches as the girl continues walking and passes a drink to Lord Marsh.

Zepher, the Goon, and the Cult Leader sit around. One of them coughs or something. They don't really have much in common. "So, how's the Cult going?" "Eh." "Hey, Dr. Pill, you heading out?" "Yeah, what with yesterday's day's title, and also with you shutting down my business, I thought I might go." "Good bye," says his horse with a smile. "Oh, yeah, I can talk. I just didn't want to be hit on by that weird looking guy." "What a twist!" exclaims the Cult Leader. "Both funny, and unexpected!" "Thanks!" says the horse. "We just thought it up, actually! That's why I don't have an avatar." "Hey, what's One-Armed-Pete doing?" asks the Goon. "He's building the characters for the next game from the dead body parts from this one," says Zepher. "Don't you remember the set-up at all? The town wanted mafia games to continue, the scum were trying to leave, the original host was killed, blah blah blah." "Oh yeah..." says the Goon. "So, if the town won, the games will continue, and we need new characters. I told Pete he could take an arm from someone if he wanted to." "Thanks, Zepher!" says Two-Armed-Pete, who also has no avatar. "Serial Killer, scum, witch," says Candice, landing behind some of the facades. "Witch?!" exclaims the Cult Leader. "Alright, fine, scum, but I've been waiting to use that joke all game. I can't believe she only died on the last day." "Last day? So we won?" "Sure." The Cult Leader and Goon walk into the sunset... or something. There's no sun in Mafialand. Only shades of gray and an off-white carpet. "Only one thing left to do now, Candice," says Zepher. "Make love?" "Only two things left to do now, Candice," says Zepher. "Dragonator wants a banner." "Hey, I'm a dragon!" "Pete, you took the picture with my face all blurry." "Sorry boss." "Come here, I'm eating your new arm as punishment." THE END. TOWN WINS. MAFIA MAFIA FEATURED: Zepher/The Host (Zepher) - Your lovely and hungry host. Dr. Pill - The man with the golden oar. One-Armed-Pete - Makes the crowd sounds you know and love. Thinks of the children. Candice the Lynch Dragon - She knows when you are sleeping. She knows where you're awake. The Cult Leader (Rufus) - Rather mysterious. The Goon (fhommess) - Grrrrr. Dearly Departed The Serial Killer (Walter Kovacs) - Town. Lynched Day One. Candice's first lunch. The Cop (def) - Town. Killed Night One. Ax to the back for being on the wrong side of the tracks. The Vanilla Townie (Kristel) - Town. Killed Night One. Decapitated and then planted. Hopefully she'll grow into a tree some day. The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam) - Town. Silently swallowed by the great Lynch Dragon. The Male Lover (LegoDad) - Scum. Snapped up by Candice. Tasted spicy. The Virgin (Clanure) - Town. Killed Night Two. Finally "got some". The Jester (CallMePie) - Town. Killed Night Two. Was not lynched. The Usurper (TrumpetKing) - Scum. Lynched Day Three. Became a viking funeral for the Cop. The Doctor (Piratedave84) - Town. Killed Night Three. Had the common cold the whole time, couldn't figure out how to cure himself. First Day Lynch (Jamesn) - Town. Killed Night Three. Exceeded all expectations. The Godfather (Kadabra) - Scum. Killed Night Three. Gone away on vacation. The Female Lover (Hinckley) - Town. Killed Night Three. Now resting in pieces with her scummy hubby. The Snake Charmer (Darth Potato) - Scum. Lynched Day Four. Killed due to lack of charisma. The Role Cop (KielDaMan) - Town. Lynched Day Four. Suicidal tendencies. The Serious Roleplayer (Tamamono) - Town. Killed Night Four. Joined the circus. The Night Action Blacked-Out Dude (Bob) - Town. Killed Night Four. Chopped to bits, no one could identify the body. The Treestump (Adam) - Town. Lynched-ish Day Five. Combusted. The Talking Animal (mostlytechnic) - Town. Killed Night Five. Couldn't get any. The PGO (Purpearljellyblob) - Scum. Lynched Day Six. Lost his head. The NPC (Esurient) - SK. Lynched Day Six. Candice was not impressed by his demonstration. The Witch (Waterbrick Down) - Scum. Lynched Day Six. Fed a whole two NPCs. I've got lots to say, but I'll let y'all go first. Right now, all I've got is: 1) Glad it's over. 2) Tough game to host. 3) I had lots of fun. 4 [most important]) I hope you all had fun too.

Mafia Mafia - Day Six: Endgame, Probably
Zepher replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The condemned stand in front of One-Armed-Pete, arguing their case. "I can't be the SK!" exclaims the NPC. "Look, I don't even hold the axe-sycthe out normally! My arms don't work like that!" He produces the axe-scythe from a pocket and shows everyone. There is minor ohing and ahing. "That's a compelling case," says One-Armed-Pete. Zepher walks back towards the group. "Hey, I found the Witch trying to change what she said, so I ate her. What's up? Did anything actually happen today?" "Sort of!" says One-Armed Pete. While the camera is not focused on him, the PGO tries to make a break for it. Unfortunately... he hears the flutter of wings... The NPC meets a similar fate. Apparently Candice was not wow'd by his demonstration. Zepher tosses the Witch's head upwards. Candice catches it in her jaws and flies off to wherever she spends the night, because you'll notice she hasn't been in any of the night pictures. -

Now that Kintober has brought it up, someone HAS to go wake up Boomingham. Updates on quests will be rolling in for the next few hours. I have tomorrow, Thursday and Friday off, so this week should be nice and active.

I can occasionally post from work (though quest updates do have to wait sadly). It's more that I have no idea what you want me to do. :p (formatting and smilies are another thing I haven't figured out from the iPad that serves as our register yet).

"Ah, yes, Guts, I remember you well. You helped Dr. Cula and I solve our little bet, or rather, you proved me right. Perhaps I would remember you less fondly if it was the other way around. Are you also a friend of Gerald's?" "You are not far off. I do not believe we discussed your heritage when last we met. What is it? Any races with higher conceptional thinking? The glass is indeed a series of prisms which redirect the light. I have also infused it with a dust of both topaz and diamond. I have found that by running Alchemical batteries through the glass, I am able to generate light, if only a meager bit of it. It also makes it nearly suicidal to break through." "8:40, by the look of the sky," says Daneeka after a pause. "Have I mentioned that to you before? I assume not." "I have not, sadly, visited yet. It is said to get into the Temple, the Gods must want you to come. Our mutual acquaintance said that upon your visit, the Master of Regret was waiting for you. I hear also that you met Passion. As for my interest, are we not all allowed a hobby? What did become of Passion, by the way. My friend left before the exciting conclusion of your battle with Wren." "Hybros! How are you enjoying the evening. As for the plans - well, I wouldn't want to spoil a surprise, would I? I think things should heat up considerably once we all have this old wine. I hear its very potent. For now, just see what you think of these people who call themselves my friends. What is your opinion of them so far? It is very important."

Heroica RPG- Quest #68: A Night at the Theatre
Zepher replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
SP, fixed, hidden. EDIT: You have Flipz to blame for this. I forgot the second part of afflicted, but... Tesni suddenly stumbles and falls to one knee. She lets out a groan as her limp body hits the floor. The "King" had fallen. -
Mafia Mafia - Day Six: Endgame, Probably
Zepher replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I will assume the Witch is being truthful. I hate imagining that someone would lie to win a game against strangers. Other than the normal lies that come naturally with Mafia, that is. Votes Goon (fhommes): 1 (Purpearljellyblob) PGO (purpearljellyblob): 2 (Rufus, Esurient) NPC (Esurient): 2 (fhommes, Waterbrick Down) Witch (Waterbrick Down): 2 (penalty, penalty) The day has ended with the conviction of the PGO, NPC, and Witch. Get in those actions, Goon and Cult Leader. -
