"My dude, no worries. I'll learn how to fight. That's what I'm here for, dude! We all got to start somewhere. Look, I got this dagger, and I'm not afraid to use it!" He holds up his dingy dagger.

  4. The heroes travel though the night, as the sun rises, it is the Fourth of the Week. While it is strange for a day to pass without occurrence, that is exactly what happens as the heroes trek towards R'Klif. Night falls once more as they reach the city. They pass the wooden gates and begin to wander the streets. "So, we're looking for the Armored Reaper, right? What do you think we should do? Just ask around... or?" But before the heroes have a chance to look around for anyone, someone calls out to them! "Lady Nerwen!" The heroes turn and see two men walking towards them. "Returning to the place of victory? I haven't seen you since we saved the town together! What brings you to R'Klif?"
  5. Bobby walks up to the group a little late, a grin spread across his face. "What is up?!" he exclaims. "You guys ready for our first quest? It's gonna be dope." He turns to their guide. "Hey dog, I'm named Bobby Bucks." He gives two thumbs up. "I'll help out your town, don't even worry about it, my dude! I ain't even playing." He looks at his fellow heroes. "What's up?"

"What a lousy chap," says Boomingham. He turns to Karie. "Masson will be back. I'm not letting that wiggly tentacle'd fellow use him. When I fight him it won't be as some Devil Commander. It will be as equals." Boomingham snorts. "This Regret is mighty good at making people dislike him. Only a few weeks ago I hardly knew he existed and now he's near the very tipty top of my 'must die' list. So, let's go get him."

The trek is long and quiet - and the heroes remember sadly that it will take them two days to get to their destination. As night begins to fall, the heroes have a choice to make. They failed to sleep the night before, and might be exhausted if they keep going. However, stopping to sleep, even a short while, may put them far behind. Will they sleep, or will they continue?

  11. I personally feel like we have more than enough classes in the game. More classes would be cool, I guess, but I feel like there are already tons of options, many of which have not yet even gotten a chance to be used. But maybe that's just me. I like the weather list, and will certainly use it from time to time!

But I can't say you heroes seem the best company, especially if you're meeting back up with that elfish maniac. You're a friendly group, and I like you all well enough, but I think traveling on my own may be best. It's a Hel of a nice axe." Midge tosses it back to Matthias as Samuel hands over his loans. "I wish you all the best of luck doing whatever it is that you're actually doing other than killing Orcs and Assassins. We'll meet again, if the Gods are good, and all that stuff." Midge and Samuel wander off into the city as well, going their separate ways. The heroes have only known them for a night, but it is still a bitter farewell. Who knows when, if ever, they will see them again. Olegaia is a big place. The heroes wander out of the city as the sun begins to rise in earnest. They are exhausted after their long night. They realize that it is the Third Day of the Week. Though the first and second seem ages ago. As they walk down the road, they hear a familiar voice cry out. "Hey dummys!" and out of the bushes on the side of the road come a grinning XX and Purpearl! "Sorry, that was mean, just excited to see you all alive and well! How was the evening. Watch give any trouble? Probably won't be going back to Eubric myself for a short while." He looks over the motley crew. "Ready to hit the road again?"   14. Unsheathing his newest sword from his side, Boomingham looks down at it. The dark steel greatsword, nameless as of now. With it are the memories of Strivvi - that along with Masson, and his whole ugly past with Heroica is all in one room. He smiles. "Glad to see you could be bothered to do something," he says to Barty, who glimmers bravely above the parties. "I know we've been over this before, Lawrence, but while you are not an ideal specimen, I happen to barely, barely mind you, prefer you to abominations. And such snide ones at that. The Regret has crushed angels before. I'd like to see him try. We fought Baba and I'm still here. As are you." Barty looks down sternly. "Enough babbling already, you idiot! Attack the damn thing!" Boomingham steps forward and swings at the remaining Crusher tentacle.
  15. Three battles in three weeks isn't too bad by my book. But duly noted. No more battle royales in this quest, anyway.
  16. Classic Heroica: Heroes complain enemy is too tough, beat them in less than three rounds. I cannot tell you how many times I've run into that as a QM.
