  1. Great review, really hope this will be available at the Lego store in Manchester later today.
  2. Ok, so I've added some further detail and greebling, as well as the start of the interior. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Kurtt
  3. Greetings folks, After being rather taken by the new Spaceman minifig found in the collectible minifig series 1, and also looking forward to the summer wave of SPIII, I decided to bring back the neutral faction that is Futuron. Using the Spaceman minifigs as the main characters (with head swaps, of course), I went about designing a cargo carrier for them, that could be the target for a Black Hole Gang heist. I've based it on the Galactic Enforcer from the SPIII line, with other elements thrown in, such as the wing and engine assembly from a Republic Gunship. Also trying to get a 'Thunderhawk' feel, for those familiar with Warhammer 40K. I imagined that it could be used for either cargo haulage or space exploration, being kitted out accordingly. Its still work in progress, with lots of greebling and final colour choices, but please let me know what you think. If I'm happy with the final design, I'll probably realise this in actual Lego. As I said, still quite a bit to go before it's finished, such as the interior detailing and external greebling. C&C is appreciated! Cheers, Kurtt
  4. Anyone know when these latest sets (Lunar Limo and Space Police Central) will be available in the UK? I'm at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester on Monday, and was hoping to pick up a few Space Police sets. Hopefully the new ones. Apologies if this has been asked and answered before ;)
  5. Gah! This set or the new Kingdoms Castle! Great review, and a lovely set this. The space bikes look awesome. Anyone else planning on using the ray gun from the Minifigures Series 1 Spaceman for the Space Police?
  6. A lovely new Castle. I'll be picking this one up for sure. I really like how the design of this one harkens back to the more classic castle designs. A bit thumbs up from me!
  7. I'd quite like to know where people are buying their boxes from. Please PM me if theres an issue over posting it.
  8. This may have been answered before, and if it has, I apologise, but where are people getting there boxes of figs from? I've collected coolectible figures in the past (Heroclix, Star Wars Miniatures) and have always bought a case or two to get the whole set. I'd like to do the same for these. Incidently, I picked up 6 packets from my local Argos earlier today. One from the till area, and five from the depths below. I could tell the one I'd picked up was the Robot by feel alone! :)
  9. Thanks for the review! This looks like its going to be a great line. And I'm not sure sure that the good/bad divide is so clear cut. I'm going with the different factions with different aims line. Still, looking forward to picking these sets up, and as my son is approaching 4, its going to be a fun year playing with them with him!
  10. Really pleased I never got round to buying any of the previous Slave 1's now :D Will definately be picking this one up later this year.
  11. I never got to own this castle, so I've been waiting for someone to post a review about it. Excellent design and content, and great review. Thanks!
  12. Thats some awesome stuff burkey42! I love the elephants. And the group shot at the bottom is very cool. Great idea using dogs as attack hounds! Very Troll/Orcish. I put in a big BL order for my Stegadons, so hopefully have something to show in an army style format next week.
  13. Lego was my number one toy as a kid, and even when I 'grew out of it', I still used to pick up the odd Lego catalogue now and then. Then, one day in 1999, I accompanied my younger cousin into a toy shop in my town and saw the first wave of Lego Star Wars. They blew me away. So I picked up 7130 and it went from there. Didn't buy loads at first, just the odd set. Then onto the sets I could never afford as a kid (some of the larger Forestmen sets), and then discovered Fantasy Era and just went nuts :D I'm sitting in my office at home surrounded by Lego. The Death Star, Space Police III, Atlantis, shed loads of Fantasy Era stuff, the list goes on. And now, I have a three year old son to share the hobby with! The most oft heard phrase in my office these days is 'Daddy, I play with Star Wars Lego?'
  14. Excellent post Sir Dillon! Unfortunately, I missed out on most of these sets due to finacial constraits when I was younger, but have sinced made up for it with King's Castle Siege and Medieval Market Village.
  15. Ok, so my Bricklink order of two Styracosaurus arrived today, so I set about making a howdah for them. They're inspired by the ones pictures earlier in the thread. LINK I couldn't make out the detail of the howdah's enough to copy them, so went with my own design. I wanted it big enough to house four Trolls, plus equipment. Forgive the colour mismatches on the prototype, I'll put a Bricklink order in to build them proper, as I salavged most parts from my Troll Warship. Anyway, heres the pics. I've called it a Troll Stegadon: Let me know what you guys think, or if you can see anywhere where it can be improved.
  16. I find it odd that Lego are doing away with the fantasy themed sets (seemingly) and yet they create a set with a Wizard and Dragon! :P
  17. Nice review of a nice set. I've been after another Obi-Wan, so I'll pick this set up.
  18. Ixix Flamescale | Jedi Youngling Health: 5 Force Abilities: - Mastery Abilities: - Bio: A Barabal Jedi of some reknown, Ixix Flamescale befriended the Jedi Apprentice, Kurtt Halcyon, early in their Jedi training. There are hardly any known Barabal Jedi in the Galaxy at this time, so opponents rarely expect the ferocious strength and speed that Ixix posseses. An accomplished duelist, able to regenerate lost limbs over time, makes Ixix a formidable opponent. None ever doubt the skills of the inhabitants of Barab 1 after encountering him... Duel History: Won: - Lost: - [Note: I know having two characters is unneeded, but I really wanted to get the picture and concept out there. Also, he'll be good for dueling new players]
  19. More than happy to duel you :) Let's try and get an adjudicator.
  20. I have always loved this set. I never had chance to buy it due to no money as kids, but always looked longingly at it in the leaflets that came with cheaper sets! A really great review, thats only increased my appreciation for this set, as I had no idea what the interior looked like. I'm sorely tempted to break down my modified King's Castle Siege and try and construct a 'modernised' Crown Knight version of this set.
  21. I'll be online on and off for most the day today, so if anyone would like a duel, PM me :)
  22. Gladly, but not tonight, as its late here. Tomorrow maybe?
  23. Excellent game! I thought I had an easy win there Zapper, but you pulled it back awesomely! And thanks for ajudicating BH :)
  24. So, me and Zapper good to go?
  25. Nothing a chill pill won't sort, I'm sure pedro will address it once he gets back from his break. Remember, tis only a bit of fun. And thanks for Adjudicating, let me know when you need my DS.
