A simple search on the forum or the wiki would have gotten you the answer. The problem lies in where to put the info about the set bonuses. They can't be written in the descriptions, because it would make them too long and possibly get mixed up with what the artifact itself does. Also, what artifacts belong to a set and what do not can cause confusion as well. So while I like the idea, the execution is too problematic for my taste. If a QM wants to introduce a set of artifacts in their own quest, I'm not opposed, though.

Heroica RPG - Quest#119: The Blackgull Inquisition

Wasting no more time, the party returned to Meliodoul Fogfarer's house and kicked the door open. Inside they found the elf pouring liquid out of the flask the sorceress gave him into a cup and making a young man lying on a bed drink it. "Alwyn, wake up. I got you a new batch. There, drink it all up." "*cough* Thanks... *cough* My love... *cough*" "Now", the Fogfarer turned to the party. "Care to explain what you three are doing? Chasing me down the streets, bursting into my house? Does not sound very heroic to me." What will the party answer? Party: Annienal Anavir (Kintobor) "19" year old elven female Knight *Party Leader* Level 6 Power: 12 (6+6) Defense: 4 (2+2) Health: 15/15 (10+5) Equipment: Ammit (WP: 6; greatsword, user gains 5 ether for every kill); College Shield (SP: 2), Pauldrons (SP: 2, suitable for knights, dragoons, and skirmishers; accessory) Gold: 13 Inventory: Wicked Javelin (WP: 7, throwing weapon, retreivable, 1/6 chance to slow), Sanctified Rito Longsword (WP: 4, Hits doubled against flying enemies, longsword), Training Sword (WP:4), Emerald (Wood), 2 Potions, 2 Phoenix Essences, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Bedroll, Field Rations (Restore 15 health) Miderun (CallMePie) 18 year old female orc Barbarian Level 6 *Attacks cause enamored* Power: 20 (6+13+1) Health: 13/13 (8+5) Gold: 92 Equipment: Oculoid Claw (WP: 13, 1/6 chance of dealing the infected-effect, causing an enemy to lose health equal to 1/3 of their level rounded down at the end of each round, club), Seductive Perfume (Holder deals the enamored-effect, suitable for women; accessory) Inventory: Serstyral (WP: 3, axe), High Heels (Power +1; suitable for women; footwear.), Opal (Ice), 3 Potions, Remedy, Phoenix Essence, Mead, Nostrum, Smelling Salts, Smoke Bomb Warlen Melimane (The Chosen Minifigure) 23 year old male half-elven Mage Level 7 Power: 12 (7+5) (Spellpower: 17 (7+5+5)) Health: 8/11 (5+6) Ether: 10/11 (5+6) Gold: 30 Equipment: Gold-coated Bat Staff (WP:5, staff), Spellbound Gloves (Power +5 to spells) Inventory: Robe of the Magi (SP:1; suitable to mages; bodywear), Amethyst (Darkness), Aquamarine (Water), Emerald (Wood), Ruby (Fire), Sapphire (Wind), Scroll of Fire Warding (1/2 chance to make the target immune to fire for the duration of one battle at the cost of 1 ether), Scroll of Ice Warding (1/2 chance to make the target immune to ice for the duration of one battle at the cost of 1 ether), Scroll of Water Warding (1/2 chance to make the target immune to water for the duration of one battle at the cost of 1 ether), Scroll of Wood Warding (1/2 chance to make the target immune to wood for the duration of one battle at the cost of 1 ether), 3 Potions, Grand Potion, Tonic, Remedy, Nostrum, Mead, Dragon Scale, Smoke bomb, Fire Bomb, Bedroll, Shovel, Telescope -
QM Note: You forgot to divide the loot. "Yes, we can perform maintenance to the vessel in Ai Xurong with the equipment we have there. Now we just have to keep thumbs up that we get there safely." Enough thumbs were held up, apparently, because the remainder of the trip was uneventful. One morning Vincent Legonardo woke up the heroes to see one of the grandest sights Olegaia had to offer: a city floating among the clouds. "Welcome to Ai Xurong, a citadel founded on a floating mountain. Before the age of airships, the citizens used tamed dragons and giant birds to travel to and from the city, but it was risky because the beasts could throw their passengers off their backs at whim. My airships have allowed the city to prosper in a whole new way, if I do say so myself." "Your contributions to our nation are widely acknowledged, monsignore." "If only the rest of your kind respected them the way you do, milady. I never intended my prized inventions to be used for warfare." "Such is the way of the Aoi", Shanxian sighed. "When we dock, me and Doctor Gioconda will depart for Tritech. You should head directly to the House of the Blue Hand, where the Council holds court. The Citadel in the Clouds holds many wonders, but its citizens do not take foreigners well, so you must not stray." "I will keep the boys in check, monsignore. Don't you worry." A little later, the heroes found themselves standing at the threshold of a large hall inhabited with the cream of the crop of Xu. "Into the lion's den..." Shanxian muttered as she rolled further inside with her wheelchair. All eyes were on her and her strange entourage. "We have to wait here to be summoned to the Council Chambers. Just you wait and see, these vultures will be flocking to us in no time." And indeed, in no time, another female aoi walked to Shanxian with a sour expression. "Ah, I hoped I had seen the last of you when you departed for the Free Islands, sister-in-law." "I am here at the Council's behest, Maiwei, and you know that very well. But at least you can get some delight out of seeing me in this unfortunate state." "Seeing you all weak and fragile does not bring me any joy. Like you haven't brought enough shame to the Ji Pei name already. You used my brother to climb the ranks into the Council's favor, and as soon as he was dead, you eloped with that criminal monk. Have you tired of him, already, seeing you are escorted by this ragtag troupe instead? Of course, no man can compete with the size of an ogre..." The aoi lady's eyes were full of scorn as she glanced at the heroes. "You are pushing it too far, Maiwei Ji Pei!" Shanxian was tense and flustered. The other woman seemed to really know how to get under her skin. What would the party do?

"Your call, sire. It's just that all the other armors that give 4 SP in my store are sold for 200 gold, there's no way I could sell a similar one for double that prize."

Miderun had seen wrong, for the Fogfarer had fled to the direction they came from, presumably back to his house. The building where the witch had disappeared to turned out to be empty, save for an open manhole leading to the sewers on the floor. -

Still feeling peckish, Ellaria looked through the cakes and other bakery products to see if any of them were edible. "So the strange events seem to have started when this mage woman Amara returned to her hometown. Maybe she was looking for vengeance, having been cast away from the community? I guess we will find out when we get back to the Tower and open the door with the key we found at the cellar."- 506 replies

This is a wrong topic for asking questions about mechanics and rules. But yes, you can summon spirits of any element with Zirconia, just like you can cast a spell of any element as well. Zirconia isn't that amazing, it's just the equal of having all nine other gems. Except that you can't merge Zirconia into anything like you can do with the other gems.

Well, the more gold you have, the better cards you can buy.

QM Note: Going to autoroll for a bit. Round Three of the Seasonal Battle: Annienal vs. Hibernal Spirit - Miss Miderun vs. Vernal Spirit - Damage (Vernal: enamored, doesn't attack) >Warlen vs. Autumnal Spirit - Damage (Warlen: 10 health-(5/2=3 dmg)=7 health) The battle doesn't go well for the inexperienced heroes. Annienal misses again, while Miderun is only saved by the fact that her target is enamored. Warlen isn't so lucky, though. Current Weather: Cold - Doubles ice-elemental damage, halves wood-elemental damage. Round Four of the Seasonal Battle: Annienal vs. Hibernal Spirit - Critical Hit (Hibernal: 40 health-17 dmg=23 health) Miderun vs. Vernal Spirit - Special Damage (Spring Flowers - Weather changed to "lush") >Warlen vs. Autumnal Spirit - Shield (Magic Burst of Wood - Autumnal: 29 health-(16x4/2=32 dmg)=0 health; Hibernal: 23 health-(16x2=32 dmg)=0 health; Vernal: no effect; Warlen: -1 ether) Their luck turns, and Annienal delivers a devastating blow to her target. The Vernal Spirit changes the weather to its liking, making the snow melt and flowerbuds sprout between the cobblestones. Warlen unintentionally uses the changed climate to his advantage as his magical powers burst in a wood-elemental explosion that destroys two of the spirits. Only one enemy remains. Current Weather: Lush - Doubles wood-elemental damage, halves wind-elemental damage. Enemies: Vernal Spirit *Wood-elemental attacks* *Enamored with Miderun for 1 round* Type: Ethereal/Plant Level: 5 Health: 21/40 Special I: Spring Flowers - Changes the current weather to “lush”, doubling wood-elemental damage and halving wind-elemental damage. Special II: Overgrowth - Causes 10 wood-elemental damage to all opponents. Used only when the weather is lush. Drops: Emerald (Enables wood-elemental spells; gem), Scroll of Wood Warding (1/2 chance to make the target immune to wood for the duration of one battle at the cost of 1 ether) Party: Annienal Anavir (Kintobor) "19" year old elven female Knight *Party Leader* Level 5 Power: 11 (5+6) Defense: 4 (2+2) Health: 14/14 (10+4) Equipment: Ammit (WP: 6; greatsword, user gains 5 ether for every kill); College Shield (SP: 2), Pauldrons (SP: 2, suitable for knights, dragoons, and skirmishers; accessory) Gold: 13 Inventory: Wicked Javelin (WP: 7, throwing weapon, retreivable, 1/6 chance to slow), Sanctified Rito Longsword (WP: 4, Hits doubled against flying enemies, longsword), Training Sword (WP:4), 2 Potions, 2 Phoenix Essences, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Bedroll, Field Rations (Restore 15 health) Miderun (CallMePie) 18 year old female orc Barbarian Level 5 *Attacks cause enamored* Power: 19 (5+13+1) Health: 12/12 (8+4) Gold: 92 Equipment: Oculoid Claw (WP: 13, 1/6 chance of dealing the infected-effect, causing an enemy to lose health equal to 1/3 of their level rounded down at the end of each round, club), Seductive Perfume (Holder deals the enamored-effect, suitable for women; accessory) Inventory: Serstyral (WP: 3, axe), High Heels (Power +1; suitable for women; footwear.), 3 Potions, Remedy, Phoenix Essence, Mead, Nostrum, Smelling Salts, Smoke Bomb Warlen Melimane (The Chosen Minifigure) 23 year old male half-elven Mage Level 6 Power: 11 (6+5) (Spellpower: 16 (6+5+5)) Health: 7/10 (5+5) Ether: 9/10 (5+5) Gold: 30 Equipment: Gold-coated Bat Staff (WP:5, staff), Spellbound Gloves (Power +5 to spells) Inventory: Robe of the Magi (SP:1; suitable to mages; bodywear), Amethyst (Darkness), Sapphire (Wind), Emerald (Wood), 3 Potions, Grand Potion, Tonic, Remedy, Nostrum, Mead, Dragon Scale, Smoke bomb, Fire Bomb, Bedroll, Shovel, Telescope -
Your wait is almost over, for the Decamon Tournament will launch this weekend. As I said earlier, it is going to be this year's Grogmas event, and everyone with at least 5 gold in their pocket can participate. The gold is necessary to buy cards at the event, so if you're one of the lucky few with five or more cards in your deck, then the event will cost nothing to you. To give an incentive at participating in the event, I can tell that the cards can be exchanged into prizes at the end of the tournament. And the reward for winning the whole shebang is access to the freshly announced expert job class of the Decamon Drafter. To whet your appetites, I've now uploaded pictures of cards 1-8 of each type into the Decamon article in Heroica RPG Wiki.

QM Note: Blizzard and the other specials deal 10 damage as described, because the weather multiplier has already been counted in them (double the spirit's level). Yes, and it didn't happen. Sorry. -
~Portia's Potion Shack now stocks Myrrh!~ Myrrh (Causes the transcended-effect, doubling the target’s current and maximum ether for the duration of one battle.) Costs 75 gold.

QM Note: No, your health consists of the base health plus 1 health per level up. Remember that at Level 1, you only had the base health. Also, note that your opponents are half ethereal, so they cannot be damaged by any element except the one that their second type is weak to or the one doubled by the weather. Round Two of the Seasonal Battle: Annienal vs. Hibernal Spirit - Miss Miderun vs. Vernal Spirit - Hit (Vernal Spirit: 40 health-19 dmg=21 health+enamored with Miderun) >Warlen (Darkness) vs. Autumnal Spirit - Miss Annienal and Warlen miss their targets, but Miderun scores a hit, making the Vernal Spirit enamored with her. Three enemies are still left. Current Weather: Cold - Doubles ice-elemental damage, halves wood-elemental damage. Enemies: Autumnal Spirit *Water-elemental attacks* Type: Ethereal/Aquatic Level: 5 Health: 29/40 Special I: Fall Raindrops – Changes the current weather to “humid”, doubling water-elemental damage and halving fire-elemental damage. Special II: Downpour – Causes 10 water-elemental damage to all opponents. Used only when the weather is humid. Drops: Aquamarine (Enables water-elemental spells; gem), Scroll of Water Warding (1/2 chance to make the target immune to water for the duration of one battle at the cost of 1 ether) Hibernal Spirit *Ice-elemental attacks* Type: Ethereal/Icy Level: 5 Health: 40/40 Special I: Winter Snowflakes - Changes the current weather to “cold”, doubling ice-elemental damage and halving wood-elemental damage. We have these three gentlemen guarding us. You really did well." Shanxian smiled at the heroes.

Ellaria looks into the carcass of the chicken, hoping to find some delicious chicken drumsticks (of the non-rotten variety). "Ah, yes", she says as she sees the others taking their leave. "I believe we only have one place to search before the Tower, and that's the bakery."- 506 replies

Hi, The-Doctor, and welcome to Eurobricks as well as Heroica RPG! I hate to start out with negative stuff, but I have to ask you to think of a new character to play in Heroica RPG, something that is original and not part of any existing franchise. As cool as the Doctor is, mixing his story into that of Heroica RPG is not going to cut it, I'm afraid. There are many references to popular culture - including Doctor Who - in our game, but downright adding a character from a tv-series goes too far. I'm going to have to hide your posts from general view, but you are very welcome to create a new character that YOU thought up. Don't be afraid to think outside the box - just don't go digging into someone else's box. Hope you understand! If you need any help, for example with the photography, don't hesitate to ask!

"Hmm, I've worked as an farmacist's assistant, but these letter combinations don't sound familiar... "FG" might be a drink called the Flaming Gumball, I know it because my friend Lord Boomingham likes it. Although that man has never said no to any drink in his life... "TB" might be Tiger Balm, but for the other two, we just have to see." Ellaria mixes a red and a blue bottle and offers the "MM" drink to Hybros. Then she mixes the blue and lime and drinks the "SB" drink herself. Mixing the second red and a white bottle produces the "FG" drink which she gives to Thormanil. And finally, Docken gets the "TB" drink that is made from the remaining lime and white bottles. Once the drinks are downed, Ellaria takes her party to the butcher's shop.- 506 replies
