I'm the QM, I can do what I want. Seriously though, I didn't feel the need to drag the battle on for too long, since the field is already ruined. But it's not over quite yet!

I have to apologize the delays in the quests, I've been quite busy with life for the last couple of days. Things should get easier tomorrow (yay for a weekend!).
-
What are you talking about? Barbara was poisoned on Day Four, Max on Day Three, and Sarah on Day Two. And now Vera on Day Six. The only day the poisoner failed was yesterday.
-
Yes, but I imagine a vest would only protect from shooting. Dmitri possibly cannot die no matter what during the night, and that's scummy if anything. It's starting to look like the poisoner tried to poison Dmitri on Day 5 and failed too. And I still don't believe Stanislav is behind the grenade, if it was tampered to begin with. I'm not going to change my vote unless I'm absolutely certain we can convict Dmitri. We will find out the truth about this matter either way by tomorrow, but only if either Dmitri or Wilem is convicted.
-
So you're saying the grenade might have blown up just because it was targeted at Dmitri? That makes sense, because why else would someone claiming to be an investigator be still alive, unless he couldn't die at nights at all. But why didn't you say this in the first place? I'm ready to change my vote if at least five other people will vote for Dmitri as well. Anyone up for that say aye! Aye!

Both knights miss their attacks on the second Direwolf, but Tesni manages to hit it for 7 damage. Jess misses as well, while Tomas finishes the wolf off. Bartholomew takes this moment to drink a Potion, restoring himself to full health. Not being targeted, the remaining Direwolf attacks Christopher, causing 3 damage because of the knight's shield. That's megablocks! If you really are on our side, you should be a team player. Now you're just acting all bitter and refuse to say anything that might actually help the town. Don't you see our only option today is to vote you out? I would gladly vote for Dmitri too, if I wasn't sure we'd just end up with no conviction again. We've done the vote splitting on two days already, and on both days it has only lead to the death of more townies and a major disadvantage to us. Do you really wish that for the town, just so you can go on playing? And now you have the nerve to say we deserve to lose, just because we're acting without any other evidence. I'm sorry, but this is just the way the game goes. We have to test out Dmitri's claim, and this is the only way to do that. You can be very sure that if Dmitri lies about you, the true townies will unite against him tomorrow. There are still 13 people left in this town, we couldn't have possibly lost already, or else there's something very wrong with this game of life. Crap talk like that will not raise any sympathy for you, Wilem.

The party decides to return to the third aisle. The guards noticed the party approaching them immediately. "Hey, Lord Sucks-a-lot is back. You brought some friends to rip us off some more, huh?" the guard named Bart growled. "Well, it ain't gonna happen, pal! Nobody messes with Shadeaux guards!" The three guards promptly attack. I appreciate the effort, but I cannot view these files. Can't you save them into a normal image file, like jpeg, png or gif?

Heroica RPG - Quest#2: Looking Through the Wares

The party heads to the fourth and last aisle. It is devoid of life, but there is a small door on the back wall. The party looks through the crates, but none of them bear the crown insignia. The party has now checked all crates in the whole warehouse. So what has happened to the Hinckwell crates? What will the party do now? -
Heroica RPG - Quest#2: Looking Through the Wares
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
The party decides that Lord Boomingham would approach the guards and persuade them to reveal if there's any Hinckwell crates hidden in the warehouse. The portly knight just nods and marches down the aisle to the guards. "Greetings, gentlemen!" Lord Boomingham greets with a big grin on his face. "Who the hell are you?" one of the guards asks. "My name is Lord Lawrence Boomingham, you must have heard of me. Now I see you are in the middle of a game of cards. Mind if I join?" "Yes we mind! What are your doing here? This is a private warehouse with restricted access!" The guards start to raise up and reach for their weapons. "Why gentlemen, I am here to play cards! And drink! Now, is it my turn to deal?" Boomingham takes the deck of cards and starts shuffling it. "Listen here, Sir Eats-a-lot. If you don't get out right now, I swear..." "I'll bet my title and lands", Lord Boomingham quips in with a wink. "Y-you mean... I can be Lord Bart if I win?" one of the guards says. "I'm in!" "Bart, we shouldn't ..." his companions hesitate. "Sit down, you two! This man is a proper lord and a valiant knight, we can trust his word." The other two guards look at each other, and shrug. The game of cards begins. As Lord Boomingham plays, he looks around to see any markings on the crates. He doesn't spot any crown insignias, but three crates look different from any others. Boomingham memorizes the symbol so he can later describe it to his party members. Eventually, Lord Boomingham manages to win 30 gold from the guards before they give up. The chubby knight thanks the guards and walks away, leaving the guards throwing curses behind him. Lord Boomingham rejoins the rest of the party and tells them what he saw. If the party wants to go take a closer look at the marked crates, they will have to fight the guards. What will the party do now? Party: Alexis Fenral (Masked Builder) Level 5 Ranger Power: 8 Health: 10/10 Gold: 10 Inventory: Longbow (WP: 3), Smoke Bomb, Potion, Venom Atramor Gibbin (played by CallMePieOrDie) Level 5 Rogue Power: 9 Health: 11/11 Gold: 19 Inventory: Chain Whip (WP: 4), Sai-dagger (WP: 3), Potion, Shovel, 2 Bones Eric (played by Khorne) Level 5 Barbarian Power: 8 Health: 12/12 Gold: 10 Inventory: Godricsleif (WP: 3), Potion, Venom, Mead, Bedroll Hybros (played by JimButcher) Level 5 Rogue Power: 8 Health: 8/11 Gold: 6 Inventory: Reaper Scythe (WP:3), 2 Potions, Shovel Lord Lawrence Boomingham (played by Zepher) Level 5 Knight Power: 8 Health: 9/14 Gold: 40 Inventory: Longsword (WP: 3), Shield (SP: 2), Potion, Venom Rufindel Galadhras (played by Rufus) Level 10 Cleric (Party Leader) Power: 14 Health: 18/18 Ether: 13/14 Gold: 7 Inventory: Oaken Staff (WP:4), 2 Potions, Remedy, 2 Bones, Pickaxe, Tonic, Bedroll -
You are indeed right, that was a mistake on my part. You may return the Tonic you used back to your inventory.
-
But if you wait, it might be too late to reach the conviction. A better option would be to vote now, and change your vote if something new comes up. The day doesn't end when a conviction is reached, remember?
-
Geez, people dying left and right... If I still live when this ordeal is done, I swear I'll move to the countryside to live as one of those weird hermits. .sceptic: Anyway, time for business. I think the case against Wilem is as clear as it can get at this point, and nothing he has said has convinced me otherwise. The only other option to prove if Dmitri is speaking the truth would be to vote for Dmitri himself, but yesterday proved how futile that would be. Vote: Wilem (WhiteFang)
-
Giving items to another player during battle takes one turn.
-
If the party flees, they will not get anything from the battle. If they decide to fight, they can fight until either side wins, no matter how many rounds it takes. The field will be ruined after the fourth round, though.
-
Hold your horses, you still need to get some experience from participating in a quest before I can allow you to host a quest of your own.

But if the party escapes, they will not gain experience (even if they do kill some of the Direwolves), and the field will be ruined. There is no sense for them to try to get a few more hits on the wolves unless they aim to win the battle. The party should decide between escaping immediately, or staying to fight at least one more round.
