The pack of Direwolves is large, so the Direwolves can surely summon more of their brethren if their number falls below three.

The grenade could not have been given to Nika by Stanislav. As far as I've been told, the inventor can produce vests, shackles, magnifying glasses and guns, not grenades. Damn, there's just too many things going on around here to make sense of it all.

The sun room beyond the parlour proves to be empty as well. The walls and the ceiling of the sun room are made of ornamental crystal, so the group are quick to notice a strange purple light emitting from the second-floor windows directly above the sunroom. There is something sinister going on upstairs for sure. As they head to the second floor, they find the foyer empty as well. The party climbs the winding staircase, and arrive to a hallway. Which room will the party check next?

But Wilem, what would Dmitri gain from saying you're scum if you weren't? It was the same deal with Ruxana. There are still (hopefully) enough of us Townies so that the scum won't win if we just convict the wrong person. Lying about the result of an investigation would work as a "final touch" move for the scum, but I don't think this is possibly our last day yet. There's just too many of us still alive. So, if you turn out to be Town, Dmitri will certainly be voted out tomorrow - and no amount of "he was framed" excuses will save him, I truly hope.

Vice Warlocker Goldraum wishes good luck to the party, and heads upstairs to join his brother and wife. The party takes a peek at the Guest Room, but do not find anything alarming. The strange sounds seem to come elsewhere. What room will the party check next?

You've only got yourself to blame. Why did you not vote?

Results of Round One of the Kitchen Battle: Cronk vs. Evil Turkey A - Shield >Bacari vs. Evil Turkey B - Hit >Nyx (Lightning) vs. Evil Turkey B - Shield (Wood) >Althior (Lightning) vs. Evil Turkey A - Special Damage >Namyrra (Earth) vs. Goldraum the Cauldron - Spell Sylph vs. Goldraum the Cauldron - Miss The battle begins. Cronk takes the Sentinel position, protecting everyone from physical damage for the next round. Bacari gets a good shot at the second Evil Turkey, causing 6 damage. Nyx's magic powers burst with the element of Wood, with the magical briars pushing out from the floor causing 12 damage to all three enemies, and instantly erasing both Turkeys from the battle. With his target defeated, Althior turns his spell towards Goldraum the Cauldron, but the enchanted cauldron Boils Over, taking 6 health from the mage and pushing him on the verge of being knocked out. Luckily Namyrra's earth-elemental spell saves the day, as it takes the rest of the cauldrons health away from it, ending the battle. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! All party members gain a level of experience. The enemies drop one Fire Bomb and two Bones. Worth nothing, except in magic shops where it’s worth 5 gold.) Vice Warlocker Goldraum recovers from the battle, having been restored to human form. "T-thank you! I guess my brother wasn't so wrong getting you involved after all. But I swear, I don't know anything about grandmother's disappearance. Good luck finding the others." Then the furious chef bursts into the kitchen. "With all due respect, Master Goldraum, if you have finished with your funny business, I have a dinner to make. Now GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN!!!" The party and the purple-clad wizard decide it's best to leave.

Actually, the Mage's Magic Burst was one of the things changed after the test quest. If you check the rules, the Shield-skill involves a random element from those available to you, so you cannot control what kind of a burst you get, sorry. I'm thinking of implementing a few more changes to some of the job classes after these quests, but I'll inform about the changes if they occur.

Heroica RPG - Quest#2: Looking Through the Wares

Squinting his eyes, Eric realizes his mistake and realizes the "glowing thing" is just a lantern. ( ) The party decides that Lord Lawrence Boomingham shall distract the guards with his diplomacy skill, while the others search through the crates. The problem with that tactic is that the guards will see the others if they enter the aisle, because Lord Boomingham is not that wide. If the party still wants to follow this plan, what will Lord Boomingham say to the guards? -
Mack guffaws. "Of course not! You'll be running like all of hell is after you once you use a Smoke Bomb. But beware, if you flee the battle, the field will be ruined for sure."
-
Well, my first instinct would be to say "no", but you can always try to persuade me by showing some pictures of these settings. After all, the pictures are probably the least important part of the quests.
-
As convenient as that sounds, I can't help but to believe you. It still does not mean you couldn't belong to the Russian Mafia, though. Having two Mafias would actually explain the presence of a scum investigator, too. I for one will vote for Wilem today, if only the poisoner does not prevent me (based on last nights photos, s/he's still around). I pointed out my suspicions towards Wilem yesterday, so I have no problem voting him out. I'm sorry to tell you the Peeping Tom did not learn anything new last night. I worry of his safety, so I cannot give you more details as to why that was.
-
The old farmer hollers back at Bartholomew from behind the fence that circles the meadow. "Sure thing, sonny! But don't forget you also have a Smoke Bomb, it's a more safe bet than hoping the rogue gets a chance to flee!"

The party decides to fight fire with magic. With Namyrra and Althior as the vanguard with their ice and water spells, the party returns to the kitchen and manage to overcome the surging heat and reach the monsters. The odd cauldron speaks to them. "I can't believe... I'm asking this... but please help me!" The two zany turkeys let out a manic laughter, and then attack with the cauldron. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! Heroica RPG - Quest#2: Looking Through the Wares

Having already searched the second aisle prior to the latest battle, the party now heads to the next aisle. At the far end of the aisle, they see a table with three guards playing cards and talking. The party eavesdrops their discussion. "Hey, was it Rover barking some time ago? Three Jacks." "Yeah, I think so... You know good ol' Rover, always barking at his own shadow. Here's a fourth Ace." "Haha, true! Hey, where did Huey and Simon go all of a sudden? Go fish, Bart." "I dunno, I thought they were going to check out that ruckus on the second aisle. That's a full house for you!" "Nah, they probably snuck away with a flask of Moonian wine again. Don't ask why, but I think those two have a thing going on with each other... if you know what I mean. UNO!" The party cannot advance further into the aisle without getting noticed by the guards. What will they do now? -
"Ah, the elusive Veterans... The original six were the ones who defeated the Orc King Tarokai in a daredevil mission to inflitrate Castle Fortaan. A hundred champions set out on that mission, but only the six survived. Each of them came from a different vocation, and their real names are a well-kept secret. Instead, they are referred with monickers that strike respect and fear everywhere they are heard... The Golden Dragon, The Lady Luck, The Walking Mountain, The Fey One, The Miracleworker, The Doomsayer... After the mission, they came to Eubric, saw its turmoil and thus founded this noble organization." "The modern Veterans take after the traditions of their forebearers, being known only as monickers of their own. Lucky few are our members who get to meet them in person. But I must apologize, I am forbidden to talk about our current leaders in more detail. Just know that our leaders are the ones who ensure Heroica's position as the peacekeeper in this city. That is why their true identities must be protected. I hope you understand." "Why don't you educate me, good sir, as you must know a good deal more of your own kin than I. This world has so many nations, all of them with their own set of factions, that I cannot possibly know everything about all of them. But I am as eager to learn as I am to educate."

Althior is reminded that casting spells outside battles still depletes Ether. So he can choose to cast two spells, but he will lose two Ether for doing so.

The party contemplates on resting, but the noises around the house disturb them. This is obviously no time for a nap, as the whole wizard family is in danger. The party may use any consumable items in their possession, or let Sylph heal them once he regains his Ether. With the option of resting eliminated, the party advances to the kitchens. As they open the door, the party manages to catch a glimpse of some strange cauldron-like creature climbing on top of the stove, with two nasty-looking turkeys with clown's heads fluttering around it. The chef of the family screams in horror. "No, no, no! Get away from my kitchen, you horrible creatures! You're spoiling the dinner!" The cauldron extends it's arm and tosses the chef across the room against the party. Then the creature breathes a roaring surge of heat at them, forcing them all to retreat back to the hallway. They cannot enter the kitchen until they've solved how to get through the blast of heat. "Please! Save my precious kitchen!" the chef pleads. "Won't anybody think of the dinner?!" What will the party do now?

I am more than happy to host personal quests for well-accomplished characters, if you want to delve deeper into your characters' personal stories. But don't expect one until you're at least Level 30!

Byblos nodded at the hulking ogre. "Certainly, sir. We have extensive records of the Orcish Invasion here in our library, our founders were veterans of the war, after all. Well, after six brave heroes - the very same six who would eventually found Heroica and become known as the Veterans - vanquished Tarokai, the self-proclaimed Orc King, at the ruined castle of Fortaan some 250 years ago, the orcs and their kin knew they had lost the war. Some of them retreated to the western prairies and wastelands they had come from, but most were either executed or enslaved by the same nations they had invaded. Even though Eubric Freeport was not part of the invasion, many orcish slaves were soon brought here by foreign traders. There was a time when no orc, ogre or goblin could walk free in the High Kingdoms or at the western shores of the Crystalline Sea without getting captured and sold as a slave. But over time, the fires of racial hatred simmered down, and people began to speak against slavery. Some kingdoms have already banned enslaving orcs. Eubric lacks a proper government and laws, so nothing can be done to those holding slaves here. Alas, it is the price of freedom - you are free to take freedom away from others." Byblos looked at Skrall. "I hope this answer has quenched your thirst of knowledge for the time being."

I thought the Day would have ended by now, but I guess I have time for one last reply. If you vote out me today, you will vote out a Townie for sure. It doesn't matter, though. I'f I'm gone, my allies will continue the work for me. I'm obviously not wanted to help this Town, and I agree that it might be better off without me. Why are you acting so hurt? This is a game (of life), we must do what we can to find out the truth. And I certainly wasn't going to be able to discover if you're scum or not by revealing everything to you. As for my votelessness and it's possible connection to Max, I still cannot answer you, because I don't know anything about it. I just wasn't informed about being voteless or regaining that ability in any way. The Peeping Tom gets those results, not me. I'm just the messenger here, and you know what they say about shooting messengers, don't you? And if you think something is too bizarre for Big Voice, then you obviously don't know him well enough. How do you suddenly know Dmitri is Town? Sure, Dmitri might have gotten the vest from Stanislav, but that doesn't make him any more likely to be an investigator. It's just his word against Stanislav's. So go ahead, vote me out with scum. It will not make you look any better once you find out I was speaking the truth all along.

I'm quite certain this is manageable (and sounds like a great idea). You just need to assign a party leader for each of the subgroups, simple as that.
