The chest giggles at Cronk. "Clever... But no, that is not the answer... I told you the answer to the riddle when we last spoke... You silly people..."

Results of Round Four of the Scarecrow Battle: >Bartholomew vs. Scary Crow E - Critical Hit >Thrain vs. Scary Crow E - Damage Tesni vs. Scary Crow C - Special Damage >Tomas vs. Scary Crow C - Hit Christopher vs. Scarecrow - Shield >Jess vs. Scarecrow - Special Damage The battle reaches it's decisive moments. The round starts on a high note as the ranger scores a critical hit against the other Scary Crow, defeating it. Thrain is attacked by the Scarecrow, but again only receives 1 damage because of his shield and position. The remaining Scary Crow caws at Tesni, instilling fear on her and sending her to the back row. Tomas hits the Scary Crow from the back row, but the four damage it causes isn't enough to take it down. Christopher takes upon the Sentinel-position again. To seal the faith of the field, the Scarecrow eats the remaining crow, regaining full health. THE FIELD IS RUINED! One enemy remains. The battle continues to the bitter end. Enemies: Scarecrow Type: Demon Level: 5 Health: 21/21 Special I: Murder of Crows – Consume a Scary Crow to restore full health to self. Please send me your pitch only after you've gotten experience from playing the game. It's not that I wouldn't be interested in reading it, I just wish you'd really get to know the basics of this game before you start making up your own mechanics. I'm open for suggestions and new additions, but they need to fit the game we're playing here. I have no such plans, because these special equipment should be rare. And I trust people will sell their low-level equipment instead of hoarding them in their inventory. Well, the level-up system is already scaled, as you can see from the rules. A player above Level 10 will only gain half a level from battles, while a player above Level 20 will get one third of a level and so on. It is up to each Quest Master to decide what level range of players they want for their quest. I see no reason why Level 1 player cannot be in the same party with a Level 5 player, but I admit it might become troublesome if a Level 1 player is with Level 20 players. But we'll just have to see how the future quests go... The thing is, you don't have to "lock in" your created monsters until just the battle they're in begins. I've had to make many adjustments to the monsters in my quests before the parties encountered them to keep them at the right challenge level for them. It all comes down to calculating approximately how many successful hits will it take for the party to beat the monster, but ultimately it all comes down to how the die rolls. But to answer your question, of course I am more than happy to help anyone in planning their quest. Thanks for the questions, keep them coming!

These castles look very intriguing, I must say. I must confess that LDD is great for experimenting ideas like these. Gravity will definitely be your foe if you ever attempt to build these with real bricks. I especially love the architecture in the Tetra Pyramid and the Dual Dour, they have that enchanting fantasy feeling to them. Some of the others look too abstract to imagine anyone living in them, though, but I know that's not what you were even trying to achieve.

One of the Scary Crows caws at Thrain, making him afraid and sending him to the backrow. Sir Christopher swings his sword against the other Scary Crow, causing 7 damage to it. Bartholomew takes 2 damage from the crow, while Tesni takes 3 from the other. The other Scary Crow makes Jess afraid as well, forcing her to spend the rest of the battle in the back row. Tomas whacks the Scary Crow he targets for 7 damage. The enchanted chest jumps up and down in excitement. "Yay...! Let's play... riddles...! Riddle me this... My heads are on fire upon the brightness of day... and a grandmother's heart is in me to stay... What am I...?"
-
The chest turns its back at the party. "Yes... Father hurt me... Fifteen years ago... He broke me... It was so sad... I don't want to think of sad things anymore... So will you play with me... please...?"
-
The chest jumps back upon hearing this. "Borrow the keys...? Oh no, I cannot let you do that... You are such nice people... Father is not nice at all... Not anymore... I don't want to see you... get hurt... Can we play now?" The chest does a random barrel-roll.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: sign up thread
Sandy replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
How is "no hints or riddles" an exciting feature? Anyway, I would love to play on the sequel. I was the Serial Killer Santa in the last game, so I have high hopes to play as the Peeping Tom Tooth Fairy in this one. As far as my Mafia experience goes, here's a pinch. You yourself said I play Mafia like a crackhead, so I think that counts as my qualification to enter the asylum. -
Yes, Brickdoctor and cralegoboy will both be hosting a quest just as soon as they finish the one they are playing themselves. If anyone else from the players of current quests wishes to host their own quest as well, just contact me and we'll work out the details.

Thrain's Sentinel protects the party from physical damage for this entire round. This prevents Bartholomew from being damaged by the second Scary Crow. Sir Christopher himself misses his target. The Scarecrow then murders the second crow, again for no gain. Tesni deals extra critical damage to the demonic Scarecrow, razing 14 health from it. The rogue Jess scores a critical hit on the fourth Scary Crow, causing 12 damage to it and thus defeating it. Tomas receives a Miracle from his deity, restoring up to 10 health to all allies. Puzzled by this latest turn of events, the party returns downstairs. Much to their surprise, there is a peculiar chest sitting in the middle of the foyer. It certainly wasn't there before. As the party approaches it, the chest starts to bounce. "Peekaboo... You found me... Now it is your turn to go hide..." This confirms that the chest really is the transformed Minor Occultess Chesterine. She does not appear to be hostile, however. What will the party do next?

Then I blame Roncanator for not even once coming out to say "hey, I'm your vigilante, don't vote me out". Shadows was smart enough to do so when votes started piling on him, which led to me unvoting him. Anyway, I was under the impression Roncanator was a tracker like he said, since he knew about Waterbrick Down. And WhiteFang, "this Town sucks" isn't much of a defense when you still have a chance to get people to unvote you.

So the two Mafias could kill us, the poisoner could kill us, the hijacker could kill us, the false inventor could kill us, and I could have killed myself. And we didn't even have a vigilante, just a paranoid gun owner. Now tell me, how on earth could the Town have won this game?

"It certainly wasn't sealed shut before, so whatever is inside there must have done it. However, there is a Master Key that opens every door in this manor, whether sealed or not. Chesterine holds it, because she never leaves the house. Have you seen her yet?" Where could the unfortunate female wizard be? Has the party missed something?

Well, you can talk about the scum being transparent all you want, Hinck, but the fact is you knew who they were. We Townies didn't, and that fact alone makes it much more difficult to tell who is behaving like a scum and who is not. And even when you suspect someone, you can't really convince others unless you have some kind of proof. Just saying "look at that scummy choice of words!" doesn't cut it, unfortunately. That's why it was so hard for us to convict def and Draggy, even though I had little reason to doubt Shadows. If he would've just said why he was so sure those two were scum, it would've been much easier. Can you even tell me that now, Shadows?

The Opal is actually a paler blue than the Aquamarine, but in Bricklink it seems to be referred as "trans-medium-blue" while the Aquamarine is "trans-light-blue". It doesn't matter if you use "trans-orange" or "trans-neon-orange" for the Garnet, though. Here's a bigger photo of the nine gems arranged in alphabetical order:

Thanks a ton, K-nut! You have just earned yourself a complimentary Tonic, which you can add to your inventory. 1 x Tonic – Restores 5 ether to the target. I will go over that list to see if any clarifications are needed, and then put it in the first post. As far as the expert jobs go, there really is nothing to tell yet, since I they only exist in theory. I still need to make finishing touches to the advanced classes too.

Heroica RPG - Quest#2: Looking Through the Wares

Umbra Shadeaux lets out a chiming laughter. "Outnumbered? I dun't zink so... And ze gold is not in my purse, you silly but 'andsome rogue. But I admit, my family is filzy rich, and I see you are 'esitating, so I will raise my offeur to 1500 gold. Take it or leave it." -
Well, at least I went out with a BANG. I think this marks the first time I've made it to the conclusion without surviving, too. First of all, I would like to thank Hinckley for the fantastic game and the brilliant and hilarious visuals. I knew it was going to be a challenge, but I had no idea how much of a challenge it would turn out to be. As a vanilla townie, I really just had to blindly trust or distrust people. I actually did manage to form a solid alliance first with Zepher and badboytje and then with JimButcher and Captain Tamamono, and we would've included iamded into it if we'd only gotten a confirmation that he really had inherited the inventor night action from Shadows. So calling the town "unorganized" isn't really fair - how could anyone ever fully organize the Town, anyway, since the townies have no idea who are on their side and who are not. I was constantly afraid one of my allies was a mole for the mafia, but fortunately that wasn't the case. Although, little good it did to us in the end. So yeah, I do think this game was unwinnable for us since very early, with all of our power roles killed off in the first few days. Convicting Draggy proved to be impossible, and there really was nobody else to clearly accuse (although we were onto Pandora very early on, hence my attempts to make her slip something). And townies were killed almost three by three each day, so the game very fast turned for the scum's advantage. It was really a shame some people were so inactive, but I guess it shows it's not a good idea to start with that many players... Looking back on Day 7, it's obvious we had already lost. Even if Brickdoctor had voted for Draggy, it would've been a tie and there would've just been another Full Moon Festival filled with townies dying. Anyway, it was a fun game, congratulations to the winning side! At least this time I don't have that "bamboozled" feeling, so it was a fair fight. One question though: how the hell I couldn't vote for the first two days?!
-
These haven't been asked before. I'll try to fix up an FAQ for the first post, but I'm kinda busy at the moment, so if anybody would want to compile one from the questions answered in this topic I'd be ever grateful. Anyway, onto the answers: a) no, sorry. I'll look into that for the expert jobs, though. b) yes, of course.
-
This is a disaster! While I appreciate your theory, Timur, do you realize you are splitting the votes based on mere assumptions? We will never reach a conviction if votes are pulled in three directions, and not reaching a conviction is even worse than convicting a wrong person. We are achieving nothing if we do not convict someone. And in the end of the day (pun intended), Dmitri is the only one we have concrete evidence against. I considered Wilem unrational yesterday when he said the town deserves to lose this game of life, but at this moment I'm starting to agree with him. Come on, people, what will it take for you to wake up?!
