  1. "Remember that the High Priest is resistant to bad effects, so we should hit him now that he's vulnerable." Ellaria uses Flash Bomb (makes one target confused) on the High Priest and then attacks Uthrin again from the back row.
  2. Periwinkle was dumbfounded. "What?! Could it be...? After all this time, my erstwhile father appears to me in the form of a grumpy old soldier? No wonder my mother never talked about you. She's dead now, you know, murdered by superstitious villagers of the shithole that is now called Vega. I was nine back then, so ten years have already passed... There was this woman in the lynch mob, who thought I was pretty enough to be spared, so she took me to her house as a skivvy. But I didn't like her, so when the Emerald Emperor came and turned the whole town into an amusement park, I took off. All the men seemed to think I was a pretty little thing, so I went to work at Le Chateau Des Coeurs. That's the name of Glimda's brothel, if you remember. As you well know, I wasn't happy there either. I don't think I've ever been happy anywhere..." Periwinkle paused and stared at Sarge for a good while. "What now? Even if you are my father, I am my own woman now. All grown up, as Eric here can testify. Where do we go from here?"
  3. "Looks like everybody's here", Ellaria remarked as she saw the dark dwarves from the drill site running to the battle. "I don't think it's Arc Elixir time just yet, but I will keep it at hand." Ellaria used her last Greater Potion on Dumora before attacking Uthrin again from the back row.
  4. Sorry, I'm too tired to start #142 today after all. I'll try to do it tomorrow.
  5. QM Note: If one party member wants to leave the Fields of Glory, everyone has to leave. That's in the rules.
  6. Chosen participants for Quest#142: Day of the Triffid: ~Dr. Windus, Level 1 Cleric (Windusky) ~Petaldan Parfenius, Level 1 Knight (Palathadric) ~Torald Waruelf, Level 4 Barbarian (Alfadas) ~Ezeran Yanarr, Level 5 Mage (MysticModulus) *Party Leader* QM Note: Please make any Marketplace purchases you like now, before the quest starts. I will post the quest topic later today.
  7. Suggested Battle Order: Dumora Atramor Ellaria Tesni Nur
  8. Periwinkle looked at Sarge, confused. "Umm, sure... I just phased out a little there, I did not lose my memory. Did you?" Peri started to speak slowly, like to a retarded person. "You're Jon "Sarge" Mcency, from Heroica. We are in Salmanda now."
  9. "Guys, I can revive Tesni now and use the Arc Elixir next round to get us back up and running. Does that sound good?" Ellaria uses a Phoenix Essence to revive Tesni and attacks Uthrin Sootbeard from the back row.
  10. "AH... Don't know yet. Me and Rhiannon haven't got any plans yet, but she always finds job for me. She's chatty like that. My little socialite, HA HA HA!" For Boomingham's other question, Rex had to ponder for a while. "I'm not sure what their names were, but they were from the High Kingdoms. Some Duplovians, some dwarves and even some elves. I thought the pointy-ears had their own gods, but I guess Danab's BOOBS enthrall people everywhere." Rex nudged Boomingham with a mischievous grin. The priest glared at them disapprovingly. "I'm not much of a gods-person, myself. Mercutio's alright, though, if he's the one who keeps the GOLD coming my way. And that Grey Angel sounded alright as well, if he was ready to defy a GOD to protect us little folks. I like your angel too, Boomers. Yeah... Barty's alright... *snore*" The wererhino was asleep all of a sudden, tired out by all the talking.
  11. QM Note: What will you do next? Take this chance to close any loose ends, for the end is nigh...
  12. OoC: Sorry about my lack of attention, I now see it was talked about earlier. Of course I could have used one on the earlier moves as well, had I known about it. Water under the bridge now...
  13. OoC: Sorry, I'm confused about the battle mechanics... So I can drop a Smoke Bomb and move on the same round after all? Ellaria tossed a Smoke Bomb at the enemies before moving to the Loading Area.
  14. "Lets head out to help Tesni and Dumora. These dark dwarves are insignificant." Ellaria moves to the Loading Area.
  15. You can easily catch up if you miss one day.
  16. Periwinkle blinked. "That was... whoa. But what are you yammering about, baby? That's an angel, not a Rito! You don't have to be a nun to know that much!" The priest then approached them again. "This is the statue of Grey Angel Ophaniel, who loved mortals so much he abandoned the grace of the Righteous Light. His pure white wings turned dull grey over Ennoc's disappointment in him, but he did not mind. He dedicated his existence to the protection of all mortals, despite being just a fallen angel. For his altruistic love, we forgotten ones love him back. Now, will you be spending the rest of the night with us? It is free of charge."
  17. Sign-ups for Quest#142 are extended to the 25th of October! 18. Eric still couldn't make heads nor tails of the book, so he just tossed it to Brown. "What's this? You brought me a book? 'Key To Riches'..." The beggar leafed through the self-help guide. "I guess you're right. I should get off my megablocks, go out and make something out of myself! With this book in my hand, I shall succeed! Thanks!" And just like that, Brown scurried out with the book in his hand, leaving the heroes empty-handed. But perhaps this wasn't the last they heard of him... Subquest "Straw To Gold" is successful! The party's influence has increased! Periwinkle's eyes were glazed and glued to the statue. She barely heard what Eric had asked her. "Rito...?" ~*~*~*~*~ QM Note: Autoroll it is! 19. I know! I bought it from Singapore and it's still intact next to me on my desk.
  20. OoC: I can shave 200 health from the Drill at the very least, hopefully the dice are on our side for the rest. Ellaria tosses her Skadi Bomb at the enemies, and attacks the Mythril Drill from the back row.
  21. Periwinkle took Eric by the arm as they walked away. "I know you love me deeply, Eric-darling, and I do appreciate the macho act you put up to defend me, but the Conclave punished Aunt Kree already. Besides, the last thing you want to do is to upset your employers by murdering one of their own right in front of their eyes." The grey-clad priest greeted them at the Sanctuary door. "Welcome back, weary travellers. I see you brought more friends with you. May the Angel Ophaniel bless you all." The beggar called Brown also hollered at them. "Finally! Have you got something for me?" Periwinkle wandered to the statue of the Grey Angel in awe. 22. To add to what others said, quests are not "first come, first served". QMs handpick the players they want from all of those who signed up, so even if you're the first to sign up, you are by no means guaranteed to get in. I myself always thrive to have balanced parties, and also consider who have been on my quests recently so I won't pick the same people over and over. If a quest is about a certain faction, I usually look into who has good reputation with that faction, too. Butthis is all for future reference. You will definitely be chosen for this next quest since there's no competition.
  23. "You will do no such thing!" The doors of the temple had swung open, and the sisters stood on the doorway, horrified at the sight of warriors threatening one of their own. The Vindicators pointed their spears at the heroes as well. Aunt Ovelia walked to the Rito. "I thought you were gone already, Sister Kree", she said with a chilly voice. "Hmpf!" The Rito then flew away, leaving the heroes facing a mob of angry nuns. Even Periwinkle scolded them. "What were you thinking, causing a scene like that right here on the Mother's doorstep?! Let's go, before the aunts tear you all a new one!" "You won't have to tell ME twice!" Periwinkle rejoined the party. Where would the heroes go next? ~*~*~*~*~ Results of Round One of the Lang Suir Battle: >Heckz (Darkness) vs. Lang Suir - Great Spell/Spell (Lang Suir: 372 health-60 dmg=312 health+weakened+jinxed; Heckz: -2 ether) Heckz debilitates the wailing ghoul with a great dark spell. 24. OoC: Why didn't we even get to hit Uthrin on our turn before he switched places? It doesn't make sense... Ellaria moves to the Drill Area with Nur.
