You can't seriously think that gaining almost 1000 gold in one hit is fair in any shape or form? Raider still has more damage dealing potential than Rogue, and it has 2/6 chances of gaining gold versus the Rogue's 1/6. Welcome to the game, Cryos! Don't forget to introduce your character at the Heroica Hall -topic. You are also missing a Potion from your inventory. Everyone starts with one. :wink. I can help you with the character avatar, by the way. I can build your character with real LEGO and snap a photo of it for you.

There are actually nine elements in this game, so start making up a love that's like ice, a love that's like wood etc. On a side note, what's up with you putting color, font and size tags on every single sentence? That does it! I'm nerfing the Raider's shield-skill "Ravage" so that the Raider only gains gold equal to the level of the enemies. Otherwise it will work like it used to. I've got to stop this before the whole economy of Eubric collapses... And no, this is not negotiable.

I don't understand how some of you can already label certain people as "passive", "quiet" and "under-the-radar"? It's only the first day of this ordeal, people can't have anything much to say! And knowing that one's every word is likely to be dissected at some point (first day discussions even being used as evidence at a much later date), I don't blame anyone for not wanting to speak just for the sake of speaking. The bottomline is that no matter who we vote for, it's going to be guesswork. Nobody has had time to gather any evidence, nobody can prove anything about their true alignment - it's just not possible. The best option we have is to hope for a clumsy werewolf to accidentally reveal themselves by tripping on their own words (like in that book, "Harriet Slutter and the megablock Werewolf"), but we all know chances of that happening are slim at best. So let's not call this a lazy town, because the symbolical sun hasn't even risen yet. I know I'm doing my best, and I dearly hope that so are the rest of the villagers. We can do it!

Remember Marcellus's rules? The one with most votes at the end of the day is sacrificed. Right now the most likely candidate for that seems to be either Casey or Pennie, but anything can still happen. Even I can be the one chosen! But who will water the tulips, then? They need an awful lot of watering... Lazlo likes to relieve himself on them, and it makes them shine bright yellow. It's true, it really does! Oh, my Lazlo, will I ever see you and your golden shower mane again...?

Glad you like it! I'll add it to the official rules, please start applying it from this moment on. Yes, the artifact would still work the same way as it did before.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note: Sorry, I somehow neglected that you used an ice spell on the previous turn. You actually killed the battle ant with your strike, so please choose another target. -
I thought up a new ruling to ease the SP problem that QMs are having (me included). When several enemies get Free Hits on the same hero, their attacks are combined. The hero's SP is counted only once against this combo attack. E.g. two level 5 monsters get a Free Hit on a hero with SP of 5; the total damage is 10, of which 5 is inflicted on the hero. The free hit mechanic would otherwise be unaltered, so a party of three would have to get 4 free hits for this ruling to take place. How would this sound to you guys?

That's absurd. When I vote someone, don't I actually defend all the others by not voting for them? You call me out for being aggressive, when my entire reason for voting for Pennie is that she was so aggressively after Petey. Again, how can Pennie know anything certain about Petey? She's swearing by her gut feeling, and haven't we all heard that one before? In the Harriet Slutter books, I mean.
-
Hmmm, why exactly are you defending him so? You do realize that you're basically telling us to switch our votes. How can you be so sure you are correct? Why does it bother you that she might be lynched? It might be that Pennie has an important role that she has confessed to you, but just as likely you could be his ally in scumminess. If you want to talk about stupid moves, then defending someone so fervently this early in the crisis is just that. You just can't trust anyone at this point, if you're one of the good guys.

It's Maccus's head, from the Pirates of the Caribbean line. Looks fitting, doesn't it?

Yes, she too was one of the Sisters of Danab, with their honorary title being "Aunt". Well yeah, but not when you're on a quest. As a reminder, don't sign up into quests if you are not sure you can play in the near future!

I would love to vote for Bristol, as there is room for only one fawn bunny in this village - and that's me! But I think she's actually my sister, so that would probably make me look bad in the eyes of the voters... I don't think Pennie Pig is in a convenient position at all, at least now that you've turned your attention towards her. The fact is, none of us are "safe" no matter what we say or do. Judging from our previous experiences with a similar situation, things can do a 180 flip in a blink of an eye - one moment you're leading a bandwagon against someone you think is scum, the next you find yourself being voted out sacrificed. That's how this game of life rolls... But I do agree that Pennie seems very eager to sacrifice Petey based on mere reaction to her own words. To me it seems she intentionally pushed Petey's buttons to rile him up and get an excuse to vote for him. I'm not sure if that's a smart scum strategy, but it has happened before... in the awesome Harriet Slutter books. Oh, have you visited that new H.S. fansite yet, The Leaky Vajayjay? I digress. I vote Pennie Pig (Eskallon).

Haha, thanks! I just love butchering classic literature, folklore and myths.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
A new party is summoned to the Fields of Glory. First of them is a young Mystic Knight with an aura of darkness in her. The second an ancient Fenarian Evoker with a vast selection of spirit packs. The third a sinister half-elven assassin. Together the three will face the countless adversaries that the fields have to offer in order to rise to glory. The bulky woman's face turns bright red. "That does it! I'm a virgin, I have you know!" Little Jane's gigantic fist sends Nur flying backwards to the ground, suffering the loss of 10 health. Two other women rush into the site, increasing the number of brigands to five. "What in the name of our Holy Mother is this fuss all about?" a woman wearing the robes of a Sister of Danab demands to know. The other woman, most petite of them all, is carrying a lute, and she plays a few notes with it. "Hmm, a group of misfit bandits. I sense a song coming... I shall call it 'The Merry Women Against the Foul-minded Fools"! Tra la la!" "Alanna, Aunt Theresa, glad you're here. Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Sandy replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ellaria nods to the ogre's suggestion, and heals herself from the back row. "This is going to be a long, hard battle..." she huffs. -
I don't have a faintest clue on who to vote for, but please try not to make a mess in the town square. You don't have an idea how much it costs to clean it up... I know, since I'm Lazlo's secretary as well. A little office romance does wonders to a relationship, I tell you.

Well, scrolls weren't originally planned to be used outside battles at all, so you'll have to excuse the inconsistencies. I didn't design the Scroll of Luck (my opinion wasn't even asked for it), but I do think without a 50/50 chance it's way too powerful. I'll make an official ruling of the use of scrolls in and outside of battle when I have the extra time.

Fat chance, hamcheeks! I will give everyone as much flowers as they need to swing their votes on my dear Lazlo! And you know how keen everyone here are of flowers. Or was it deflowering...?
