OoC: Sorry, encouraged does not affect healing. The description says it doubles damage. Healing is not damage, and it's actually quite rare that healing doesn't restore full health if it connects. "We've almost got them!" Ellaria cheers as she continues to heal Atramor from the back. -

It seems there's a great demand on changing Black Knight's SHIELD-skill. There's been some great suggestions, so I'll work something out soon... Thanks for the feedback! I thought Karie was adopted, so she probably has the name of her adoptive family... Maybe Kintobor can elaborate on this?

Boomingham takes all the loot dropped by Steerpike and his gang, and heals himself and Thothwick for 2 ether, and tosses his Scroll of Sealing to Nyx. Quickly he stabs Steerpike in the chest to ensure he dies. "This is... for the better..." The Wolfgang poisoner dies while still in his werewolf form, probably as a homage to the man who once saved his life. Boomingham then starts to fling sleeping spells to the crowd, missing Umbra but hitting Captain Mumbasa. Meanwhile, Nyx drinks a mead and starts shooting streams of ice at Zelda, Nemo, Noctus, Heinrich and Shanxian at the cost of 5 ether, but instead of freezing them, she just hurts them more. Thothwick makes a leap at Barbariccia, but the witch is protected by an invisible barrier. Boomingham and Nyx join him on the stage. "No, you are not worthy to face me yet. Your resistance is futile, in any case. The seeds of disarray have been sown deep into the hearts and minds of those people, and soon you will see Ulric rise as the first king of Eubric. You may spread of the word of his coming far and wide. If you live that long, that is." The witch mumbles something, and a brilliant portal of light appears behind her. "Bluto, with me!" The bearded man runs past the heroes, dropping a letter at their feet. He gives them a sorrowful look as he disappears into the portal with Barbariccia. The heroes move to follow the pair, but two snapping heads appear out of the portal. A pair of otherworldly monsters step into the stage, gnarling and growling. At that moment, Captain Patricia, Lieutenant Serevan and Arthur run into the ballroom in the midst of the crowd that has suddenly stopped fighting, and are now wondering why they're aching all over the place. "What the...?! Serevan, let's check that everyone is alright. Private Regulus, join your comrades and take down those overgrown newts!" PREPARE FOR BATTLE! Enemies: Chaosaur Type: Ancient Level: 50 Health: 1500/1500 Special: Chaotic Nature – Causes doomed, cursed, fast asleep, blinded, sealed, confused, weakened, fragile and jinxed effects randomly among the opponents. Arthur blasts through the door at the expense of 1 ether. The party and the watchmen pour into the hallway that runs at the back of the theater. Along it there's doors to the corridors on both sides of the main hall, to the backstage, to the dressing rooms and to the kitchen. Lieutenant Serevan checks Private Gladstone's body. "He's dead, ma'am." "Steerpike must have come through that dressing room, then. That means Barbariccia Dellamore is in on the plot, somehow. Again you go with the assumption that because you don't know something, others can't know it either. Ulric's becoming a great benefactor for the poor and oppressed, and his name is on everyone's lips. I have plans to show this better on future quests, so just stick around for it...

You're confusing things that you've seen with how the things really are. You haven't even seen Wolf's Den yet, so how can you assume it's just a hiding place for a band of thugs? There's a whole city in the sewers under Eubric! When I say Wolfgang is influential, I'm not exaggerating. Ulric's plans is to move away from the criminal gang leader status he's holding now, and moving on to a leader of a political party. Getting rid of the worst offenders on his side is actually a good start towards that path. Well, from the beginning I said that Wolfgang has assimilated almost all of Eubric's criminal gangs into their ranks. Other QMs created those other gangs, but if I were to call the shots, I'd say Wolfgang has already taken care of them. Oh wait, I am calling the shots!

Round Nineteen of the Steerpike Battle: >Nyx (Darkness) vs. Steerpike - Damage (Nyx: 36+3 SP-(45/2=23 dmg)=16 health) Boomingham vs. Steerpike - Hit/Meditate (Steerpike: 39 health-(36x8=288 dmg)=0 health) Boomingham - Poisoned (-1 dmg) The werewolf Steerpike attacks Nyx ferociously, but Boomingham's final desperate strike finally knocks him down. The old paladin feels the final sting from Steerpike's poison before it vanishes... THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! Nyx and Boomingham gain a third of a level. Thothwick recovers from being knocked out. The enemies drop an Everlasting Venom, nine Deadly Venoms and 120 gold. The Ziegfried brothers were at each other's throats. Count Shadeaux punched Heinrich Hinckwell in the face. Lee Long jumped onto a table and kicked Admiral Bonaparte in the chest. Umbra and Bellanotte tag-teamed on Beth Ziegfried. Lorcan Hinckwell jumped on Nuitan Shadeaux, and Lyren hit his brother with a goblet to defend his friend. Madame Ladybug slapped Laureline Hinckwell just as Guffington's assistant raised a chair to strike both ladies. Dr. Cula bit Madame Morrible on the neck and sucked her blood. Captain Mumbasa jumped down from the balcony and landed on all fours, growling dreadfully. Above all this, Barbariccia just laughed. -
Remember that both Donny and Violetta already had the option of getting killed in their respective quests, but the heroes chose otherwise on both times. Even now there was a chance to save them, but two out of the three heroes in the party decided against it, so Patricia put them to the sword. Actions must have consequences. Otherwise there wouldn't be a point in this being an interactive game.

Technically yes, since all heroes who aren't knocked out have to be listed in the battle order. But the action will be "recovering from stunned" no matter what.

In quick succession, Patricia mercilessly stings both Donny and Violetta through the heart with the sword. The pickpocket says nothing as he dies, but Violetta lets out a single word as her last. "Karie..." Then she's gone as well. "Let's go take care of Steerpike, now. If we get him as well, this will become the best night I've had in a long, long while. Men, break down that door." The watchmen obey, but try as they might, they cannot knock down the backdoor to the Theater. -

The suit effectively has 1/3 chance of changing COUNTER, DAMAGE and Free Hits to a MISS, so if the dodge is activated on a Magic Counter, then you wouldn't be causing damage to the opponent either. Remember that 2/3 times the rolls would work normally.
