  5. Bright Day, actually. The stories of Baba Yaga only features three knights representing the phases of the day, so there's no Dusk, sorry.
  6. "If you think everything important in this city takes place within your little "quests", you really are a blind fool." The Wolfgang leaders are growing impatient. The heroes will have to make their choice soon...
  7. "This is futile, Donny. That creature doesn't know even a fraction of what we've done for this city. Ignorance is a bliss, it seems..."
  8. ~A new quest has been posted on the Quest Board (#70 by Endgame)!~
  9. "Ha! That shows you know nothing about our plans! Try listening to what we're saying here, won'tcha? Or do you even have ears inside that hood?" "Hmmm, what if we encourage all the houses destroy each other? How's that for a plan?" Violetta turns to the gigantic yeti. "You haven't said a word yet, you hunky lump of fur. What do you think about the Wolfgang? Aren't we just the coolest?"
  10. "The Wolfgang employs pickpockets, robbers and assassins, that's true. Ulric didn't bring them with him to Eubric, though. He recruited them from the local gangs he defeated, unified them and trained them to his cause. If that's not putting them on a leash to you, then what is? Because of that, Wolfgang is now called the Seventh House in Power by some people - even though we thrive to become the only House in Power. Only then we'll have peace in this city, get it?" "You weren't there when the entire population of the Hovels rioted? The Town Watch and Heroica ended those riots violently, when all those people wanted was justice and true freedom. They rioted for Ulric and the future he promised, did you not know that?"
  11. I know. I just replied to your reply. It's "convince-a-war" now! I have to say that I love how Arthur went in on the quest so sure he would stick with the Town Watch no matter what, yet the instant he met Donny and Violetta, he began to have second thoughts.
  12. "That's where you're wrong. Eubric loves us! Not the six houses or any other people in high places, of course. But go take a walk at the Hovels, or the Harbour, or the farmlands beyond the walls. Talk to people there, and find out that their lives have been made better by Wolfgang. We took out most of the other crime syndicates, and we only steal from the rich. The streets of Eubric are safer for commoners now than ever before." "Yeah, the biggest problems in Eubric are caused by the corruption and oppression of those in power. Slaveworkers, racial discrimination, overpriced tolls, prices of common wares gone through the roof, unemployment, the friggin' Hovel Wall! Those are all examples of what your precious Houses have caused to Eubric. Yet you label us as the villains for not taking the "high road" and succumbing to that treatment." "Captain Patricia is a stuck-up bitch wrapped in her own ideals so tight that she sees nothing else. Obedience is everything to her, and she gets her pay check from the six Houses." "Some time ago, I infiltrated the Town Watch barracks pretending to be a mole for Wolfgang. I was surprised to see how easy it was to get some of the watchmen to my side. They were disappointed and frustrated with the status quo as well. Patricia is sitting on a ticking time bomb. One day soon she will find out that she's a one-woman-army." "Ulric is a smart bloke. When he came to Eubric, he saw the need for change, but he also knew that he would have to start at the very bottom. Gathering the outlaws and the poverty under his banner is but the first step in his plan. Those goons you just slaughtered, they were cannon fodder. They had no place in New Eubric to begin with. They were criminals and thugs for a reason. Sadly, the same applies to me and Violetta, and to Steerpike to an extent. We all are low-born, stealing and deceit is all we are good at. We are soldiers in Ulric's war. He treats us good, but if we die, he won't shed any tears for us." "Speak for yourself, Donny. You haven't made your way to Ulric's bed like I have." "You're delusional, V. You're his mistress, not his queen. I think that witch will take that spot in his life." Violetta goes all red all of a sudden. "You don't have to fight us, honey. We don't want to get in there, we trust Steerpike has everything under control. We're only here to deliver you this message from Ulric. Help us make Eubric a better place. Heroica has had 250 years to do that, yet it's too concerned with saving the entire world to succeed in saving it's hometown. Your skills are undeniable, though, and with a proper leader, Heroica would prosper as well." "We won't stick around forever, though. The watchmen are patrolling these streets, and we have no intention of getting our butts delivered to Patricia."
  13. "My role? It remains to be seen... But every king needs a queen by their side, don't they?" "Don't push it, witch! That was not part of the deal you made with Ulric." "I would say he needs me just as much as I need him. We fulfil each other." QM Note: Geez, don't apologize for having a life out of the internet! Heroica RPG should not be anyone's #1 priority in life.
  14. "Ahahaha! You clever boy, you think you know so much about us when in fact you know very little." "If you think we're here for gold, you're sadly mistaken. We're rich enough, trust me. It's power that Ulric wants, and that's something he can't buy with gold. He's no Hinckwell, hehe..." "As your compass will surely tell you, Steerpike is indeed inside that Theater at this very moment. But he's not alone, and he's not there to poison anyone - except maybe your precious friends. There are much bigger things going on tonight, things that you cannot do anything about anymore." "The wheels have been set into motion, I'd say. It's time to either hop onto the wagon or get left behind." "The two of us are here to offer you that choice. We've both had run-ins with Heroica before, and the people we met turned out be smart enough to understand that Wolfgang will not be just a bunch of criminals hiding in the sewers for long. We want to deliver this city from darkness and into the light, with Ulric as our king. He genuinely wants what's best for the little people. Our ways may be criminal, but the amount of charity that Wolfgang has done among the poor rivals that of any church. We just don't make noise about it, but we have people's hearts on our side." "You three have proven to be strong and capable, and the Wolfgang would be proud to have you as our allies. Trust us, you wouldn't be the first ones in your organization to gain our trust... We have even bonded with one of your Veterans, hehe." "Donny, watch your mouth! These people aren't on our side yet. What do you say? Money, fame and fortune with the Wolfgang, would that sound like a bad future to you guys?" The Wolfgang generals are offering improved reputation with their organization. How will the heroes respond? Arthur checks his compass. Steerpike is indeed south, while Violetta and Donny are right in front of him. The compass cannot find Ulric, though. He must be still hiding in his lair. 15. Barbariccia turns her attention back to the hypnotized crowd. "Despair, children of Eubric, for there is little hope for salvation for you. You will be undone by your own spite and jealousy as you turn against each other. But there is one beacon of light shining brightly for a better tomorrow. Following that light is your only hope. That light takes the form of one man. He will deliver this city out of darkness and into a new future, and rule it justly and fairly. His name is Ulric. He is the Wolfheaded Messiah!" Steerpike and the two werewolves let out a spontaneous howl. Round Seven of the Steerpike Battle: QM Note: Edited into oblivion...

  19. I have nothing against you sticking to traditional gender roles - we have plenty of "Xenas" in this game already - but I have a firm believe that even in "the olden times" women had more active role in society than history books tell us. Even the saying goes that there's a woman behind every great man... Your quests have been pretty much devoid of women, even as background characters. That's the only constructive criticism I have about any of your storylines, so once you fix that, your quests will be absolutely perfect.
