  1. Oh, I'd love me a nice sausage! I like my sausages long, tender, juicy, and covered in barbecue sauce. You yellowheads obsess over your hairstyles far too much. What use is a perfect quaff if you don't have the perfect skin to back it up?
  2. That's right, boys and girls. Danyelle and her luscious, smooth, smexy sexy skin are in the house. You can look but you can't touch. My analysis is that Fluffy's fur coat was covering a glorious, firm bod. Hey there, Mr. Tall, Furry, and Handsome. If you were a little paler you'd be perfect.
  3. Ohhh that's much better. Tell me, how much of my silk smooth skin am I showing right now? Because something tell's me it's not enough. Oh! Is that a minotaur?! Hey, did you know the average attention span is 7 secon- Wow, my skin is so beautiful in this lighting...
  4. Oh hay. The party can start now - Danyelle is here. People like to say that I'm not skin diseased, I'm skin blessed. I was born this way - born to be beautiful. Born to be luscious. You dummy, if you put the "you're" in then the line is redundant. You should try something like, "Girl, are you a beaver? Cause damn."
  5. I would love to support a new host, but I'm worried that I'll be a little too busy in the next couple of weeks to devote the appropriate amount of time to a game. That said, I'll put down my answers to your questions in case you're looking for a reserve. 1. What is your favorite Collectible Minifigure? Probably Lizard Man from Series 5. 2. Will you be able to post on a daily basis over the next month or two? Again, I'm not sure. My scheduling conflict is during the week of July 28 to August 4, but aside from then I should be good. 3. Can you keep up with 24 hour night action deadlines? Barring that one week, yes. 4. I almost forgot to ask for your experience! Mystery Castle, The Baritones, Witch Hunt, The Baritones 2, Galactic Paranoia, Mystical Castle, Police Infiltration, Eurobricks Mafia, The Pearl, Mafia Mafia, Silver City Mafia 5. Will you be ready to experience whatever horror the simplicity of my first hosting experience brings? Probably not, but what the hell.
  6. Thanks for the feedback, Tammo! I had a lot of fun - this was my first time as a Protector, and hell, it was only my second time with a PR of any sort. As a result I got a little pigeonholed on my targets (for instance, after protecting Esurient I was all but convinced that he was the vig and that the scum had targeted him) and a little too secretive, which I'll keep in mind for future games. fhomess, you have a number of insightful comments, and I would agree with your conclusions. Peanuts and I actually started talking a few days in and we eventually claimed to each other, but by then it was far too late. It was a little frustrating, because we couldn't present some of our conclusions to the public without outing our roles (those conclusions often relied on knowing that a role cop was unlikely based on the number of town roles)! I certainly know that I tend to feel a little disinterested when I get a vanilla role, but that's partly because I've played vanilla in almost every game. I'm interested to see what hosts have been doing and are planning to do in order to stimulate further interest and interaction in-game. All in all, I had a crapton of fun, and I can't wait for the next one!
  7. Haha, don't worry, in nine or so mafia games this is only the second one where I've been anything besides a vanilla townie.
  8. Thanks for the great ride, Tammo! I had a crapton of fun, even if I sucked as a protector. Yep - I was the protector. I targeted Esurient, then Scuba, then fhomess, and then I targeted you, Trumpet, you scummy son of a bitch! I targeted Peanuts last night - he and I had claimed to each other yesterday, but by then it was too late. Great job, you dirty scumbags!
  9. Frankly, I think that we do need Boris (TheBoyWonder), at least for one night. The way I see it there are three possible scenarios that the town is in right now. Worst case scenario: 6 townies vs. 6 scum vs. 1 third party Median scenario: 7 townies vs. 5 scum vs. 1 third party Best case scenario: 8 townies vs. 4 scum vs. 1 third party Personally I think that it's far more likely that we're dealing with one of the first two scenarios rather than the last one. If we vote off Boris (TheBoyWonder) tonight, then there's a solid chance that the scum might win tonight or tomorrow. Keeping Boris (TheBoyWonder) alive for tonight is risky, yes, but at least it gives us a fighting chance of staying alive and kicking these Coyotes from Silver City. With all that said I will Vote: Damien Long (Dannylonglegs). Tony (TinyPiesRUs) makes a reasonable enough case, and he's a better alternative than Boris (TheBoyWonder).
  10. So you're telling us that there's no poisoner, and that you claimed to Sheridan (Scubacarrot)? Did you claim something like vig or are you saying that she is also independent? Sheridan (Scubacarrot) has been sleeping for most of the day, it seems, so maybe she can shed more light on this. I think what you're trying to say is that you've only targeted people that the Town has suspected? What is your win condition?
  11. This is true. Furthermore, narrowing down the list of vanillas gives the scum a better shot at PRs. If we consider the possibility that the scum have a role cop, then everything that we hear from Tristan's role cop has to be put in doubt and taken with a heavy grain of salt. Tristan (TrumpetKing) has said that he trusts this role cop, but I'm one of the people who believes that the scum has a role cop of their own, so I'm hesitant to believe that the town would have one as well. Patrick (Piratedave84) raises a solid point - scum tend to be more reactive than proactive.
  12. It looks like the Coyotes are doing their best to keep us as uncertain as possible, taking one of our own and at the same time hiding away the body of Michael (Mencot). I believe that he was anti-town, so I can see the scum janitoring him in an effort to keep us in the dark as to whether or not he was scum or third party. It's also possible that he was loyal, though I'm far less inclined to believe that. All of these are possible. I believe that Michael (Mencot) was at the very least anti-town, if not scum, so I can see him being the poisoner. By the way, just as a clarification, I think the poisoner would have had to have been blocked/had his target protected the night before last. Going by the textbook definition of poisoner, if he or she had been blocked/protected last night, we would have to wait until later today or tonight to see the effects of that. This means that even if Michael (Mencot) was the poisoner, his lynching still wouldn't explain the lack of a death last night. As Perry (Peanuts) said, it's very possible that one of us might die later today (from what I've read and from what we concluded yesterday, it seems like the time of death can vary depending on Tammo's God's whimsy). We also theorized that Zachary (Zakura) knew about his poisoning beforehand; if someone here knows that he or she has been poisoned, I would encourage you to speak up, or at the very least tell someone you trust. Even if we can't find a way to save you, at least we can work to draw conclusions from your targeting. With Michael's true allegiance unknown, I'm more uncertain than ever. I'm still not sure that I trust Tristan's (TrumpetKing) Role Cop - with so many PRs apparently down, I find it hard to believe that the scum would be so lucky if they didn't have assistance. I'm interested to hear what information Tristan (TrumpetKing) relays to us.
  13. I'm very sorry to hear about your grandmother, Tammo. Stay safe and take care!
  14. This development between Tristan (TrumpetKing) and Kenneth (fhomess) is quite unexpected - from his hinting at the start of the day I assumed that Tristan (TrumpetKing) thought that Kenneth (fhomess) was the vigilante, because the timing thing sort of makes sense. However, I'm curious why a Role Cop would claim to Tristan (TrumpetKing), and I'm wondering if there is anyway to corroborate this person's claim. Right now, with us supposedly down an Investigator, I'm not sure that there is one. While I would agree that it would sort of make sense for Kenneth (fhomess) to get a make-up day kill after being born again, I think there are a variety of other possibilities that need to be explored. The Poisoner could have been blocked during those first nights, or his (or her) targets may have been protected. He or she may have chosen to abstain from killing. Furthermore, I remember the original Kenneth (KielDaMan) being fairly active on the first day, so I struggle to see why he would've failed to send in a night action. None of this explains the day kill, but I think we shouldn't jump to conclusions. For now I'm keeping my vote on Michael (Mencot). In my opinion, we know too little about the Poisoner and the Role Cop to justify lynching Kenneth (fhomess) right now.
  15. You are mistaken. I was on my glitchy phone all day and couldn't respond to the main topic, forcing me to resort to PM. I sent messages to Perry (Peanuts), Kenneth (fhomess), and Prudence (PJBob) in order to address their concerns. Now that I have regained the use of my computer, I'm able to address the town at large; I apologize for the mix-up. I'll copy and paste the messages I sent, with minor edits to make them more readable. I should warn you in advance, this is long: it's going to be a bitch to read, and there's a fair amount of overlap between responses. My message to Kenneth (fhomess) is as follows... Next is my message to Prudence (Purpearljellyblob), which I have spliced into her original post so that you have context... I re-read the thread again and found these posts rather off. Shortly after Perry listed his long list of suspects, Abigail responded to Perry with the following post(s): The first part seemed like a reasonable response asking for clarification, but the second part seemed rather off. Abigail, I would like to know why did you subtly suggest that Perry is scum without hearing his clarification first? Same question to you Abigail, why did you subtly suggest that Perry is scum without hearing his clarification? First part [unbolded] - asking for clarification Second part [bolded] - subtly suggest Perry is scum? And Abigail, you have done the same thing 3 times after being called out. Care to justify why did you do that? I believe Perry hasn't come by to answer your questions yet, so why the rush to vote for Michael? If you think Perry is rather weird, shouldn't you wait till you have heard from Perry, happy with his justification, before you cast your eyes elsewhere? Again, I noticed your two part post. First part [unbolded] - reasonable comment (not a fan of policy lynching) Second part [bolded] - subtly suggesting people to metagame you so as to justify your inactivity? I guess I will be waiting for you to come back with some comments on Clay. Good point and I agree with you on the possibilities. Finally, here is my message to Perry (Peanuts)... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I said in each message, if anybody has any further questions, I will be happy to answer them. For now my suspicions lie with Michael (Mencot), though lately my conviction has been wavering out of fear of a repeat of Esther (Esurient). Troy (TinyPiesRUs) and Sheridan (Scubacarrot) have made an excellent point against Tristan (TrumpetKing), which has catapulted him into my suspicions. I may be a bit biased on this next point, but he also said that he'd be fine lynching me and that he agreed with the arguments against me... before anyone had made any arguments, which to me reads like someone prepping for a potential bandwagon. From what I can see now, Tristan (TrumpetKing) is preparing a response, so I'll be interested to see what he says.
  16. Frankly I'm a little confused. You have literally provided no supporting reasons behind voting for me. Up until this you've probably been the most helpful and logical person in the game, so this is kind of odd coming from you. I would like to hear your arguments against me so that I might respond to them. This blatant disregard of Clay's (CallMePie) accusations, on top of his general unhelpful behavior and "hey guyse, I'm Town, don't vote me" attitude, is what makes Michael (Mencot) my top suspicion right now. Vote: Michael (Mencot) This is a good point. I'm not a fan of policy lynching, and not just because I've read about certain loyal Tree Stumps who get attacked for inactivity. I think Beatrice (Bob) - or Bernice, or whatever - is the perfect example of this.
  17. MOTHER! I've already lost father, why must I lose you too?! Even if you never paid me any attention, I still loved you... *sniff* I'm sorry, this is a lot to handle. I apologize for going MIA towards the end of yesterday, I was unexpectedly busy. Our progress thus far has me extremely nervous; the only history I've ever read that was this tragic in terms of villagers lost was about a fabled Witch Hunt. Seriously. Providing the town with a choice and then restricting the options to the one that you want is extremely unhelpful and kind of suspicious. At this point I would risk the pinging and say "nay" because if you are right and you do peg the poisoner, I think that you'll be painting a target on who is likely the vig's back. This is really the best course of action. Both Tristan and Patrick seem to have their suspicions, and I would encourage them both to talk to their suspects directly, not potentially unmask the vig to the scum. I'm not quite sure how to respond to your inclusion of my name in these theoretical scum groups, because you haven't provided any reasoning behind the names within. While I don't know all of what your criteria was for creating these lists, keep in mind that making minor accusations of your teammates is a fairly common scum strategy, because it safeguards them if the other person is killed/lynched and turns up scum. As for the information about my mother (jamesn), this makes her death even more tragic (I'm assuming that you learned about her role via PM). I guess with eight Townies gone it had to be expected that at least one of them might have a power role. I would also like to hear if you know anything about investigation results, but I'd like those results to be corroborated by at least one other person who was in contact with my mother (jamesn). It would be quite easy for the scum to take a random dead Townie, call him or her the investigator, and use that to move suspicion off of the other Coyotes. Furthermore, I'm interested to know who else, if anyone, knew about my mother (jamesn) and her role.
  18. Damn. Well, Poisoner would certainly make sense based on how green and icky his face is. That's a good catch! I wouldn't be altogether surprised if we found out that he knew about his poisoning beforehand. That quote you referenced is from yesterday, so perhaps the poison in fact takes two days to take effect? Interesting stuff... There's always the possibility that he was a Jester, a Third Party who wants to get lynched, but those aren't common at all. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about Connie (Clanure), as a part of me still pegs her as a confused Townie. However, it has been a while since she's spoken up and she owes us a response to the accusations that have been leveled against her, so I'll Vote: Connie Radford (Clanure) to get her talking.
  19. It's frustrating that Esther (Esurient) turned up Town, but at least we won't have to deal with any more pointless games from her. I'm interested to hear as well. It's frustrating when people vaguely announce their suspicions and whatnot without saying anything further or giving the Town anything to work with. Personally, I agree more with Clay (Capt. Redblade) that asking for people to tell you what to do seems like a lazy Townie move. I would actually disagree: I think he was taking advantage of the vote and conflict around Esther (Esurient) to fly under the radar and let his accusers forget about him. Then, of course, there's this: ... Which includes further aggression towards Sheridan based on her miller claim and some fishing for direct roleclaims.
  20. Ho-lee f*ck. You have got to be kidding me. Damien said it best, this was an inexcusable waste of time. I can't see how a Townie could sofclaim to save her butt and then spend two days punking the town like this. Vote: Esther Thomson (Esurient).
  21. Fair enough. This is simply what struck me first upon learning the events of the day, given that my father was only suspected by Esther (Esurient) and whatnot. Furthermore, I'm not quite as inclined to believe that my father was a scum-kill as most people seem to think simply because people are basing that assumption off of his killer's M.O. and through metagaming (I'm not really in a position to metagame anyone yet). However, I do think that Tony (TinyPiesRUs) raised a good point when he reminded us of my father's vague hints at having information. That I could see as warranting a scum kill. Esther (Esurient), most everyone else has said it, but I'll say it too. If you are Town, then you've already done what you needed to do by claiming and have painted a target on your back, so go ahead, claim for real.
  22. D-d-d-DADDY! He never paid much attention to me, but to think... he's really gone... Thanks for those words of comfort, Ms. Jellison. This loss is hitting me a little harder than I'd like to admit. Losing my father is even worse when I realize that it means losing a loyal member of the Town, as well. Furthermore, it saddens me to have been so wrong about poor Caleb, though I must say I'll be glad to be rid of his drunken stench. However, we can all mourn later. The best way to avenge my father is to catch these Coyote bastards. Speaking of which, my father was the only poor soul taken in the night. I highly doubt that there is only one killer in this game... of life, so I'm guessing that the other killer was blocked - that, or he or she chose not to kill last night. Furthermore, we can't discount the possibility of an Independent murderer. Since my father wasn't one of the primary suspects last night, I can't see him being a vigilante kill... Well, the obvious implication here is that Esther (Esurient) is the Town Vigilante, since she was the only person who suspected my dad. However, I think if Esther (Esurient) is scum, then my father - or anybody else on Esther's hit list - would be a really clever scum kill, because it would lead us to trust Esther (Esurient) and believe her to be the Town Vigilante.
  23. After reading through all of the journal backlogs about the vote against Esther, I have to agree with the above sentiment. Two things unnerve me and make me slightly suspicious of Esther (Esurient): her claim of a claim, which no reasonable Townie would ever make, and her wild accusations (which are made even more ridiculous when you realize that her list of scum is derived from people that Sheridan (Scubacarrot) found suspicious). However, to me all of this indicates someone who is both confused and impressionable. To echo the thoughts of a few others, I find it very hard to believe that a scum team would allow Esther (Esurient) to flail about like this. I would agree with Molly that we have whittled this down to a "scum or dumb" scenario, but (and I feel mean saying this) I'm leaning towards the latter. When you add this to the potential for a power role, I really don't feel comfortable voting for Esther (Esurient). Frankly, if she is innocent, I doubt she will survive the night anyway after claiming PR. As the votes stand, there appear to be three other trains of thought today: 1) vote for a lurker, 2) vote for Michael (Mencot), or 3) vote for Caleb (CaptainNemo). Personally, I don't feel comfortable voting for a lurker, but if you have been quiet today then I would encourage you to speak up and comment on the current votes and discussions. Michael (Mencot) irks me because frankly I don't think he has done anything besides roleplay and repeat what other people have said, but right now I find Caleb (CaptainNemo) slightly more suspicious: I actually think that he had a solid point about Sheridan (Scubacarrot) pressuring people for responses to her claim and then suddenly asking people to stop talking about it. However, he promptly dropped all of his suspicions, demonstrating the same flip/flop attitude that he himself criticized of Sheridan (Scubacarrot)! His sole explanation for this change has been the following: I don't think this is enough to support the rapidity of his change of heart, and for that reason I shall vote: Caleb Norman (Captain Nemo).
  24. Personally I think that a role cop would be more effective than a watcher, because 1) if Sheridan (Scubacarrot) is in fact a Coyote with a Power Role, she could preempt the watcher tonight and not use her action and 2) my general thinking is that if a Coyote did claim scapegoat, it would more likely be a Coyote goon with less to lose. Besides, wouldn't a watcher be able to tell who (if anyone) had targeted Sheridan, not who she was targeting (if anyone)? Isn't this the role of tracker we are thinking of?
  25. Momma, in my experience and research I would have to say no. A scapegoat, or miller if you like, is often put into one of these games of life to confuse a loyal investigator. Giving that person a power role would probably upset the balance too much. You raise a good point, one that I had not thought to consider. After doing a bit of research, it seems that Sheridan (Scubacarrot) might be able to avoid her affliction by speaking to us directly (over PM), and I would encourage her to do so if this is the case. Meanwhile, if the accent is merely roleplay, then I would suggest that she tone it down a little. Before we call this horse truly dead, I'd like to add to a point that Tony made: it initially occurred to me that claiming scapegoat is something that a boring, powerless goon might do, since he or she would have less to lose than another Coyote. Then I got to thinking that even though investigating Sheridan (Scubacarrot) would supposedly be ineffective, a role cop that takes a look at her should be able to declare once and for all whether or not she is a scapegoat, no?
