  1. I wish promos like this reached the world's centre (Cork ;-) ) God Bless, Nathan
  2. I use him as one and he looks great... As to the poll: Rudo Villano is just untouchable as a villian, after him I would go for the palace guard or Ngan Pa... That said for my own MOCing purposes the wanderer and Mr. Cunningham are the most reusable of the lot. Great poll, God Bless, Nathan
  3. I don't know the rference but the MOCs themselves are great! Some nice techniques buried in a really good result. Well done! God Bless, Nathan
  4. Hence my use of the word 'unfortunately'... it is still a lot cheaper than flying somewhere to get it ;-) God Bless, Nathan
  5. Impressive as that is (and it is!) it is still well short of mini-fig scale... God Bless, Nathan
  6. They're normally sold as duty-free products on international flights only (hence not in the US) but I picked up this on the way to the US no pic added yet unfortunately. I remember when I was young I was given a small lego helicopter with no fig on a plane for free (seen here) but generosity has decreased somewhat : ( Unfortunately Bricklink is still the answer for most of these sets (there are a few old airline promos I would love...) God Bless, Nathan
  7. It was too small to be big and too big to be small in my opinion (if that makes any sense?). When I caught a glimpse of it in the pull out from the lego mag before it was released I thought it would be huge, I instantly tried my hand at a second plane on scale (for an adventurer scape I had up at the time. When I got it I was hugely dissapointed... my sea plane was big enough to hold an adventurer car in the cargo area, in comparison the island hopper was dwarved. God Bless, Nathan
  8. A little longer than a 32 dot baseplate, but quite narrow and not very tall... God Bless, Nathan
  9. Thanks, I don't keep track of the HP sets so I missed that link... God Bless, Nathan

    new plane?

I got this from Air Lingus when it was a promo. A really nice set if it weren't for the bley...where is the other promo set on S@H? God Bless, Nathan
  11. I own it but parted it out... I can't picture modifying it... easier to just MOC from scratch. Especially if you want an adventurer look as the bley is really bright. God Bless, Nathan
  12. The Island Hopper always looked to me (and I assumed to others) too blocky. Like it was trying to be a model team set without the quality but had all ready sacrificed the playability. That said when I eventually got it I quite liked it despite being disapointed by the size... I thought it would be bigger. God Bless, Nathan
  13. Nice set, and I hadn't seen it so thanks for posting it... According to Lugnet it is a "Promotional set available on KLM, Air France, Condor, Air Berlin, My Travel, Britannia Nordic, SAS, Maersk Air, Malaysian Airlines MAS, Finnair." It's the fig that really interests me... God Bless, Nathan
  14. I will branch out but I'm going to be extremely busy until the end of June so the reviews are a hold over... they also will be more like once an approx 10 days in future, I just wanted to give the idea that there would be a template and regularity (of sorts : ) Thanks much and God Bless, Nathan (who is also working on a big, time-consuming MOC)
  15. Codename for the new Nintendo system that will come out later this year. Thanks! God Bless, Nathan
  16. I like the Doc Ock newspaper on the wall the best! God Bless, Nathan
  17. Asking a stupid Q: I stick pretty much to the 64.. . what is the revolution? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan
  18. This must be the most overpriced set in years... but I could really use some of those old style tubs. Oh well. God Bless, Nathan
  19. One of the best... 6062 Battering Ram Year: 1987 Elements: 233 Figs: 6 list Price: $19.95 (USD) Lugnet score (out of 100): 87 Review # 4 Resources: -Comments left on Lugnet -Building instructions and Set inventory from Peeron The Thoughts of the outrageous Norro: ...in under a word per brick... This is one of the best sets ever made (makes my top 10 anyway). It had everything from an affordable price to more playability than a Jack Stone set; and best of all it was modular! If you wanted to build big you could buy 100 of these and be left with no useless parts and a lot of material. This was one of the first sets I got from before I began collecting Lego and I was instantly stunned by the quality gap... 'stunned' might not be a strong enough word you really have to build it. The only small drawback to this set is the lack of a horse to push/pull the siege engine. The highest praise I can give this set is that its most maligned element, the siege engine, is itself a brilliant build, see for yourself. Guest Minifig Comments: Hey all, vicious battle this-- smiling heads everywhere! I'm bringing up the rear on the siege engine (no sense being overly heroic). I'm on it, so not required to push, but not leading the way over the wall either... perfect eh? The best detail of our attack is how the ram perfectly opens the small, rather conveniently located door in the wall, that's how I'll be going in ; ) It's So Great I Must Have It Now: -On Bricklink -Or some non-lego specific site no one has ever heard of... God Bless all, Nathan
  20. That makes me want to cry :'-( I got one MISB for around $60 (USD) a few years back and it was still a brilliant bargin compared to anything on the shelf today... God Bless, Nathan
  21. Thanks much! I liked this piece of oratory so much I had to repost it... what class were you in that so inspired you? God Bless, Nathan
  22. I agree, but I liked the Govenor's assistant... (forgot the rank...) God Bless, Nathan
  23. " Outside of Spidey the ropes don't have many uses " I acyually think they make pretty cool banisters but I may be alone in this... God Bless, Nathan
  24. My contribution is limited to posting more when I'm available... but I'll help where I can. God Bless, Nathan
  25. ;-) God Bless, Nathan
