Well after stumbling into a land of cheap lego I crawled out over-burdened...but happy. New MOCs soon as well since Cliffton Castle had to be dismantled to return. God Bless, Nathan

Someone remind why Imperial Guards aren't sold?
Norro replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I would like to add to this that I think (in my humble opinion) I spend a lot more time in stores selling lego than any of lego's marketing staff. I talk to parents, kids, and even the odd older enthusist. A lot of people note the fig packs being gone, a lot ask me (because I look so knowledgeable and am just standing there;)) where the basic pirate ships, castles, accessory packs, etc can be found... My conclusion is that AFOLs aren't as out of touch as lego seems to think... everybody likes that 80s-early90s style lego... God Bless, Nathan (who will soon set about putting the 'castle' back in castle and pirate :-D ) -
I thought I would do a blanket welcome to all who arrrived on Eurobricks in my extended absence... (and are now far more heavy contributers... ;) ) God Bless, Nathan

2 points on which I can indulge in some self promotion (on topic...): pics are links to galleries... My Old Mill (predates Eurobricks) uses a base to help with the landscape. I like the effect. As for wild colour... Sorry to intruse on a great MOC using a baseplate in a nice way with nice colours.... :-D God Bless, Nathan

Why do LEGO toys have value to you? They unleash imagination! I can pay no higher compliment! What makes LEGO brand construction toys worth your money? Multi-use, back compatibility (pre colour change), and potential to build many things with the same pieces.... And of course the carefully crafted quality. In what way has the LEGO brand let you down? COLOUR CHANGE!!! I am switching to buying old sets because of this... Also I have recieved 5 flawed/missing parts in new lego sets in the last 6 months... before this it was 2 for many years. Recently, how has the LEGO brand improved? Designer sets. Larger piece counts. What would you like to see LEGO (re)introduce in the next three years? Their own themes! Castle, Pirate, Space etc. What does LEGO need to do to sell more products for less cost to them? Change colour back... better set design and less <insert that tiresome argument> pieces. What reason(s) do you have for not buying new LEGO sets? Colour Change!!! Inferior sets and very uninspiring inclusions such as multi-coloured knights... What would it take for you to spend more money on new LEGO products versus buying sets/parts on the second hand markets? Change the Colour back!!! Bring sets back to the standard of the old sets you are 'competing' with. What will it take for LEGO to remain the best construction toy for all ages and be a profitable company? Better set design. Return to their own themes rather than quick-fix endorsements and creativity crushers. Stick with the basic 'potential' that lego has always sold. What are your home country, first name and age? Ireland, Nathan Is there anything you would like to say with this last question that you feel someone at LEGO should not go without reading? The Coulour Change is just now taking full effect on my buying as the last old colour sets diappear. Nathan
