I haven't gotten nearly that far... I have a plot or two floating around in my head but I have never written purely for Lego and think a slight modification to a normal book may be neccessary. In a perfect world I would love to do a part brick animation part readable story. Anything I end up doing will be illustrated with the highest quality MOCs (I am practicing to attain the neccessary skill level...) God Bless, Nathan

An improved 5986 can only be a good thing... The islanders were never my fav part of pirates, I saw them more as an unnecessary inclusion, so I'm not the best judge of this particular set design... On another note I would love to see the return of the comic to a yearly Lego pirate line. God Bless, Nathan

I completely forgot Wester as an example of three teams... Nathan

That would be my list... I specified middle sections so the Clipper could be included though arguably it could be just the smaller hulled vessels... God Bless, Nathan

The one on the left in this shot is a fright knight...one of the very few things to come out of that sub-theme. God Bless, Nathan

No, he seemed too peripheral... God Bless, Nathan

This is quite a nice explanation. As I see it now, it is the same guy who appeared in the previous sets (all the variations shown by mister_phes) and served under Red Beard, then during the crash you mentioned he lost a leg (hence the pegleg in Pirates Perilous Pitfall) and then he mutinied and became a new captain. Exactly and Thanks... God Bless, Nathan

A nice MOC though it looks a little tippable... Still wish I had those green doors. I have 1 |:| God Bless, Nathan

I've always had my own personal theory to account for this... though never the set... This fig took over Red Beard's crew after a mutiny which occurred just after the shipwreck that landed them all there... Red Beard sailed away with his few loyal followers (it was a friendly mutiny ;) ) in the Cross Bone Clipper. Disturbingly for a pirate story follower Will is not among them; mind you he hasn't appeared for a while, maybe he was killed or marooned... God Bless, Nathan

Same here, unless I go for two fictional soldier factions... I don't have enough red coats for much anyway... God Bless, Nathan What are these two fictional factions? blue and red until I finish fleshing out my story, which will be after I write my castle one... :-D God Bless, Nathan

Interesting...Ithink fleshing out the fright knight torso would be the best though comparably brickspensive to Lego's. God Bless, Nathan

Lets start a new poll for ships with one or less mid sectoions...I think that would answer your Q. God Bless, Nathan

I'm saving that great experience for when I own Lego, and it's all mine... Youu're all invited, will have a build-a-thon! God Bless, Nathan

Of the extra pieces lego include in sets visors are by far the most common. Every set that includes a visor, actually includes two... Thus I used it to illustrate the extra lego pieces lego chuck in... God Bless, Nathan

proceed to rectify that error... God Bless, Nathan

I would definitely only create Pirate MOCS from now on... I haven't created a pirate MOC since I went web standard. Wow! That will have to change... God Bless, Nathan A little closer to topic ;) what do you think?

1) I know YOU do! I'm just recaping for any random viewer... 2) Again never in one set, but the lines were staggard like pirates so that a year and a halfs products interacted giving 3 effective combatants... in a way it was more blatant than pirate as some mags show 3+ factions and describe them as all fighting for dominance of the Lego Castle Realm... God Bless, Nathan

There were no visors in the BSB... That just wouldn't be proper! That was just a gnereal description so you would know what I was refering to... God Bless, Nathan

I'm not rich :) but I'll keep an eye on it... God Bless, Nathan

It's a large castle I don't own which has nothing to do with KK2+ or Fright Knights... God Bless, Nathan
-
Not to my knowledge but the concept always existed: In pirates you had the soldiers (Blue or red), Red Beard, and Foul/Ironhook. Later it was pirates, red soldiers, islanders. In castle there were almost always 3 themes interacting, the rouge elemant normally being the foresmen/dk forest or the wolf packs... God Bless, Nathan

WHAT?! who added a vote for the BSB?! Confess! :-D God Bless, Nathan

What do you mean by "spares"? The spare pieces Lego includes to guard against loss (mainly visors and round plate 1x1s...) God Bless, Nathan

Since I posted this in response to Phes in another topic, I thought I would throw it out for comment. Is a Brickshelf folder best cleaned regularly and only the best MOCs left or is it better to leave a progression? Taking mine as an example (Before you accuse me of vanity I'm about to point out embarrasing old MOCs...): (all pics are links...) Some of my old MOCs would survive the purge: -my first online MOC -and my 'Old Mill' Most would be removed: -some of these are a disgrace (some aren't , but they still are poor) -this was my first ever attempt at a civilian castle MOC (and it shows) (The one on the right is still defencible but the other two....) -and what was I thinking? My gallery would be toned down to good MOCs like Cliffton: - and some select others... This will become even more of an issue (to me) when my next MOC is complete which makes its older rivals look even worse in comparison... What would you do??? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan *Castle and Pirate because what else are Brickshelf Galleries for ;)

how soon is "VERY soon" for the landmarks? Looking forward to them... God Bless, Nathan
