Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread

I just popped a nice batch of popcorn for those following along at home. You have to provide your own applesauce. -
Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread

JimB, I'd like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to play. Unlike last game, I have no regrets about how I played this time. And I hate to say it, but I told you so. A few of you will understand the reference, at least. Good luck, fellow townies! I think you might need it. -
Clone Conflict: Round 1: Game 4
Walter Kovacs replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm sure you'll tell me if I'm mistaken, but... AAT attack T17 Elite Assassin Droid to N17 Buzz Droid to N23 Elite Assassin Droid to P18 Homing Spider Droid to R22-S22 T-5 EDIT: Figures I couldn't do that, but it was worth a shot. -

I agree with this sentiment. Just because the first few days have been runaway bandwagons, doesn't mean that there won't be some highly contested voting in the future. Those are the sort of days we will need 72 hours for. -
Hope you had a Happy Birthday, Svelte.

Not to interrupt this fascinating bickering, but has anyone considered that Harriet's investigator, the one who fingered Sebastien, could be Paranoid? It seems like an awfully big risk for a scum to out and out lie about someone's alignment while claiming to be an investigator. It's far more likely that said investigator is either misinformed (paranoid) or his target is set up (framer). In the Paranoid case, whoever was investigated Night 1 should be scummy as all hell. Unfortunately, I don't see any way to test that theory without getting a result from Mr. Vaughn's conviction. If someone smarter than myself can see a way, I'm all ears.

How long have you known Mr Vaughn? He'll be back. For now: vote: Sebatien Vaughn/Shadows But I will earnestly listen to any defense Mr Vaughn might present. My heart isn't set on this vote.

Congratulations, Cornelius. I'm glad everything worked out for the best. 9 lbs, 4 oz is a pretty healthy baby. Seeing how late I am to responding, you should be returning home soon with baby Simon. His big sister is going to love having the baby around. My son still fawns over his little sister. Just for the record, even though I was breech, I wasn't born by C-Section. I've never really asked for the details. It's not the sort of conversation that comes up naturally with one's mother. You're not just whistling dixie. My daughter was induced. 1 1/2 hours from the time the drugs were injected to the actual birth. The doctor almost didn't make it!

Bravo! Bravo! Encore! Not as much nudity as the previous play, but still one of the best plays yet. All that talk of Bambi made me hungry for some venison.

No such luck, Oky. The dish on the MF keychain is a 6 x 6. The one on the Advent Calender MF is a 4 x 4. Of course, that doesn't preclude TLC printing the 4 x 4 dish in the Advent Calender... The Clone Pilot is a big draw. They currently go for around $9 USD on BL, which is a bit pricey for me, as I could use 6 or 7 of them. My AT-TEs, AT-OT, TX-170 and CTT just don't look right with Gunners driving them.

Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Nine
Walter Kovacs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wait, footprints in the empty apartment? Can we tell where the footprints originated? When looking out the window, what can we see? The Firehouse Roof, perhaps? Dieter, has anyone looked into renting the apartment recently? Does anyone besides you have a key to this apartment? Officer Fileds or Harrison, someone check the lock to the aprtment to see if it has been picked. -
Morning, good people of Blackwood. That was quite a ahem revealing play this morning, Harriet. Let me see if I have all of this straight. Person 1 used to work for the Werewolves, but as there was only one (Zed), he has now switched allegiences and works for the Village now. The musket killer is a Village vigilante, and needed the silver bullets when there was a Werewolf running around, but now that Zed is gone good ol' lead will do just fine. Person 4 did what you told him (her?) to, but the person he allegedly helped out wasn't targetted at all, so you still aren't sure if he (she?) is telling the truth. Since Person 4's target is still alive (I assume, Harriet surely would have told us otherwise), can we at least assume Person 4 doesn't have a killing action? Did you at least get some confirmation that Person 4 did target who you asked him (her?) too? Daniel O'Donnell was a Rogue, a name that implies he was working alone. That isn't necessarily true, but I can go with it for now. That leaves the cutlass killer. This person is likely part of another sinister faction, and finding that faction seems to be our primary goal. Oh, and Harriet is still waiting for some more information to roll in, so perhaps another play is in the offing? If Zed truly was the only Werewolf, then voting for Charles Sinclair or Person 1 seems like a good way to weaken the Village. I think we need to look elsewhere for a suspect.

I'm not sure what everyone was expecting out of the Advent Calender, but this is what I thought we'd see. Of course, the only calender I've ever owned was the 1998 version, so my expectations might be skewed. I for one am excited by the prospect of picking this one up. Then again, I do have a MINI\Micro fetish, so those are must haves. And an extra Clone Pilot is always welcome.

Not as late as I am, apparently. Happy Birthday Scouts. I hope it was filled with plenty of LEGO.

It seems I'm a bit late to the party. Anyway... Happy birthday gentlemen. And I do use that term loosely.

General Discussion and Announcements
Walter Kovacs replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, it'd be like two virgins megablocking. A better question to ask is would it be beneficial to have prospective hosts co-host these newbie games with an experienced host? Then we get new players learning, and new hosts learning as well, and the game won't get hung up because a newbie host doesn't know what the hell they are doing. -

Don't go thinking I care who gets credit for starting this. I don't. It's a wonderful idea, and I'm happy it's coming to fruition. It'll be good for EB Mafia games in the long run. I just can't wait to see the newbies in the heat of battle. Before long, we might have enough seasoned players to run two mafias at once. Wouldn't that be wonderfully confusing for those playing at home. -

This sounds like a great idea. But it seems I've heard it somewhere before... There it is! I thought it sounded familiar. All kidding aside, I'm glad to see this idea finally taking shape. -
Harriet was right yesterday. Too bad I didn't believe her then. I believe her now. vote: Adam Sokern/sok117

I relize I haven't said anything yet today. There seems to be some animosity towards those that did not vote for Zed. Losing Dacius is a terrible blow, but one that I believe this Village can overcome. Or there is indeed a second malevolent faction among us. Interesting how Harriet seems to have overlooked that possibility, even though it's been mentioned several times today. Almost like she'd rather us forget it is a possibility. That being said, she clearly is not on the Werewolves side. So without proof of a third faction, I shall follow her lead.

Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Nine
Walter Kovacs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I am quite aware that I've been anything but quiet in my zeal to find clues, so the conversations may have absolutely nothing to do with it. Like I said, it could easily be just coincidence, but the timing just seems a little bit fishy. And Chief Phelps' increased helpfulness doesn't do anything to to stop my speculations. Out of that list, I trust James Falzone the most, and Will Ackerson was cleared. But that only leaves two on the list, and there is no other evidence against either of them. But I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of everything, in case it IS significant. Looking back through the voting isn't a bad idea, though I don't remember anyone trying to defend the Chief except himself. It can't hurt, however. -
Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Nine
Walter Kovacs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I am pleased that Chief Phelps was, indeed, a communist. I was having serious doubts, especially with the way I ambushed him. I'm glad our instincts were correct. Given this new information, it is pretty apparent to me that Delores Jefferson is an upstanding American citizen (if you don't believe me, look back over your notes from yesterday's voting. Ryan Phelps and Delores were vehement against one another. I doubt they were acting, but it is possible). Unfortunately, I don't have much to go on anymore. I've pretty much laid all my cards on the table at this point. I wonder what reports the general has been reading? We've been given one chance to vote, we made a good choice. And Chief Phelps was on MY radar since Chapter 4 the beginning of the second day of this ordeal. I even mentioned it to several people while in the tunnel. Which leads me to something else I feel I should mention. It may be coincidence, but it could also be significant. Keep it in the back of your minds. That day in the tunnels, I talked to James Falzone, Will Ackerson and Patrick Jefferson in private. Alan Simmons also wandered into our conversation by accident. At that time, I told them all of the evidence I had noticed against Chief Phelps, the same evidence I laid out during the voting yesterday. After we emerged from the tunnel, someone threw a knife that barely missed me, and killed Valerie Jenkins. Also after this conversation, Chief Phelps started taking a much more active role in gathering evidence. If you don't believe me, look back over your notes for the past three days. Is it possible that one of the people that I talked with in the tunnels is a communist? It most certainly is. But it also could be a coincidence, too. So please do not use this information for a baseless accusation. Like I said, it could be significant, but it also could very well be a coincidence. It also could be that those that haven't been contributing are the commies. Perhaps the all but useless Matt Liebenston. As to where to go next, I don't see any clear direction. Dieter's home is as good as any at this point. -
So was I. And I almost turned out normal. Almost. Anyway, the doctors and nurses know what they are doing. My son almost required an emergency c-section, but everything worked out in the end. Nature has a knack for getting things turned around in the end. Just heed the doctor's advice and everything will go the way it needs to. And congrats, if a bit early. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
-
If your going to put it that way. Ah well, we've already discussed how voting now would seem incredibly scummy, and I certainly don't want that. But things do look a bit more... sinister... surrounding Zed.
-
Nope, it doesn't bother me at all. Pointing the finger at those who didn't vote does, however. Seeing as I am one of them. And yes, it would be a refreshing change. If you reflect back on the things I said earlier, I stated that I wasn't opposed to voting today. I just didn't think the evidence against Zed was all that strong, and I couldn't, in good conscience, vote for him myself. I do think that the results of this vote will be telling, regardless of whether Zed ends up being Village, Werewolf or...other? It could be that this vote looks so much like a ringer that Harriet or Officer Nathans felt no risk in leading the way? Though I do agree with you; I doubt that they are Werewolves.
