The Forest Mafia: Day Three
Walter Kovacs replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
And why did we see a shadowed figure resurrect you after Brigit's death if it was Brigit's actions that saved you? I'm not accusing, just asking. Also, from what I can see Brigit would have died whether she tried to help Helen or not. That was most likely the Demon Legion killer doing his dirty work, and not related to Brigit trying to help Helen out of her stituation. I see you've already addressed this issue. I retract my question. -
The Forest Mafia: Day Three

What a noble deed Wendell has performed for us. His sacrifice shall not be in vain. And poor Brigit, trying to help and failing, and then being killed for her efforts. I've been thinking oabout Helen's recovery from her fatal wounds. In other games...of life, the is usually an individual who can ward off evil before it happens. But what if it occurs differently in this Forest. What if the evil is allowed to occur, and those with protective powers instead revive the fallen victim. It's a possibility, especially given the improbability of a reviver knowing who to target the same night a killing occurs. -
Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Eleven

Not Only that, but the wording seems a bit...odd. I mean, talking of miracles of Dr Lloyd's father, that thinly veiled insult. It doesn't really make sense. There is likely a code embedded into the wording somehow, but I'm not seeing it. Or some hidden message, maybe a cypher perhaps? We should at the very least check for invisible messages, though I don't hold out much hope there. -

Go me! So what do the strips of paper say when they are arranged correctly? -
Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Eleven

I have to admit, those letters have me baffled. You can't spell anything from them, and I seriously doubt the Russian alphabet has equivalents to those letters (Q is pretty oddball as a letter). Perhaps they are referring to certain files under those letters, or perhaps books on the bookshelf starting with thsoe letters. It could also be specific entries in an encyclopedia, perhaps? I'm going to start by looking at the books on the bookshelf, as the files, while neat, are not exactly filed correctly yet. Any other ideas? I'm also going to check the papers with letters on them for invisible messages. Our dead commie friend had a slip with an O on it, if I remember correctly. -

The Forest Mafia: Day Two

I'm not so sure the scum wouldn't be interested in blocking Edgar on Night 1. This would prevent him from finding the Arsonist, thus allowing an extra kill at night. Sure, it could backfire and a scum could have been taken out, but the percentages were on the scum side that the Arsonist would take out a Villager. Besides, who else could they block? Any other target and there is a chance of getting a vanilla Villager (thereby wasting the block), when they were almost gauranteed to cause some harm to the Village by blocking Edgar. I'm not saying it's gospel truth, but it makes sense on some level. -

I'd like to get a rough idea of how much money is there. What would our good doctor be doing with a lot of money hidden away and a revolver? -

The Forest Mafia: Day Two

I would like to remind everyone that we have less than 24 hours only this afternoon to come to a conviction. So if any defense or another suspect is going to be presented, we better speak now. I was going to wait until Bristol had a chance to defend herself, but time is running short. There is nothing specific that she has said or done, but I get a general feeling of scumminess coming off of Bristol, much like Edgar and Helen. After hearing Bristol's defense, I may change my mind, but for now: vote: Bristol Bunny/Bob tCM -

Or the scum getting an added Night Action. They already have enough of an advantage. I'd rather take a chance on a wrongful conviction than do nothing and hand the scum even more power that they don't need. -

Perhaps you'd like to have Pennie explain himself a bit more. I certainly haven't been thrilled with his participation of late. Right now I am seriously leaning towards voting for Wendell, actually. His participation has been very much low-key this entire ordeal. Almost like he has something to hide. -

Simple oversight, actually. Wendell has done nothing to help the town to this point, and certainly deserves some scrutiny. -

I see that Brigit Bunny has acted while I was forming my thoughts. I am very interested in hearing what Lauren has to say for herself now. And thank you Brigit, for having the guts to get the ball rolling, so to speak. -
The Forest Mafia: Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, the riddle is difficult, and everyone would love to get their hands on that blue orb. But let us not lose sight of what is important. We NEED to decide who to convict today, and it isn't going to be easy. And it isn't going to happen if we don't start talking about it. So let us talk about those who we find suspicious among us. I myself have no solid evidence against anyone. I can only go off of what was said yesterday and so far today. And those few conversations I've been privileged to have in private. Looking back over what has been done and said, I haven't seen the following people do much to help this village out much. That by no means is an indictment of them, or that those that are not on this list are innocent. It is merely an observation, and hopefully will get some discussion that we sorely need get started. Those people are Bristol Bunny, Bruno Bear, Cara Cow, Gabby Goat, Gilbert Goat, Lauren Lamb, Lazlo Lion, Marcus Monkey, Mindy Mouse, Pennie Pig and Sheldon Sheepdog. Lauren, while saying a lot today, hasn't really said anything at all. It's all been a sort of dreamy mish-mash of megablocks lambshit, if you ask me. -

The Forest Mafia: Day Two

I once saw a play called Eurodina. In it, two characters were able to stave off the evil in town if they were attacked at night. Horace's story sounds very consistant to the stories of those two characters. In short, I'm willing to believe him, and will even go as far to say that Horace was the target of the Legionaires last night. Or his story is horseshit, and he made the entire thing up to cause confusion. But I honestly can't see that happening at this stage, so my first theory is what I'm going with. -

I will admit that the thought did cross my mind. But for now I believe Edgar is on our side. -
The Forest Mafia: Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I for one don't think he is scum anymore. The evidence was weak to begin with, and now we have been shown that there is in fact an Arsonist amongst us. And it would behoove us to rid ourselves of him as quickly as possible. The Legonnaires will do a fine enough job killing us (when they are done adding to their numbers/aren't being blocked/aren't attacking proteected targets) without an Arsonist adding to the death toll. Half the town resisted the urge to vote for edgar, and eight more came to their senses and retracted their vote (myself included ). That's a pretty large pool of people to look at. And wht sort of logic leads you to believe that Edgar's possible protector isn't aligned with the town? Based on Edgar's defense, he seems useful to the town while an Arsonist is running around loose. Why wouldn't a Villager want to protect him. -
The Forest Mafia: Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That's what I thought, but I threw in Edgar as a target just for completeness sake. Without any visual confirmation of what happened at Edgar's house, it is tough to decipher what went on. We could have had two or more benevolent Villagers helping Edgar out and no scum even in the area. Or the scum could have targetted him and he was suitably protected. *shrug* Only those that were there can tell us for certain what went on. And I doubt that they are going to tell us openly what went on. So it's on to supposition and assumptions. And we all know what happens when you assume. -

This is a sentiment I agree with. The firebug is either aligned with the Legionaires, or is a dangerous Neutral. I'd lean towards neutral, but it would only be a guess at this stage. They could easily have been part of the ...activity at Edgar's house. It has been mentioned that there was a lot going on there. Or they could have been adding members to their cause. This second possibility sends chills up my spine, that another of our fair villagers could be aligned with these scum. As if we didn't have enough problems locating one yesterday. -

Only places that are common to every city. Wal-Mart, Target, TRU . We don't have a LEGO store within 4 1/2 hours of St Louis, unfortunately. And I don't know any secret hidey holes nearby.
