After purchasing the extremely tiny Apple Tree house and being as disappointed as I expected I would be, I bit the bullet and bought another. So my 10 yr old daughter and I combined both sets and came up with this New England style cape. We used probably a few dozen of our own pieces too. If this post needs to be moved to another location since its a Creator item, please do so. She hasn't done much with the inside yet, but I did notice a squatter sleeping in the garage! We also installed a light brick in the fireplace.

Got mine ordered from SAH U.S. In stock and shipped with tracking. Going to hang on to this til the "time is right". I remember over the summer a few eBay sellers were whoring out CC for under $150.00. Those idiots must be kicking themselves in the arses right now!!

If no one takes you up I can help. I bought one myself a few weeks ago at Walmart but they are sold out right now. -
Nice use of the Freestyle windows! Cool Firehouse!!

In stock in the U.S. Really thinking about getting one and putting it away. The CC is going for $300+ on eBay right now.

$290, $395, and $278. All 3 starting bids of $199.95. 3 day auction. Doesn't include eBay and Paypal fees. For me, its a good way to stay in the hobby without going broke if you don't have indispensable income.

Love the doors, way better than the hpuse door used on the LEGO version.
-
Thanks for everyones comments. The 3 pictured here have been sold on eBay to fund other LEGO purchases so I obviously cannot do any interiors. I think I will do a final version to keep for my city and take all of your suggestions in the final version! The final version will have an interior.

This is really awesome, so much to look at. I went through every page and love the updates as it gets bigger and bigger. Lets see...the SWAT truck! The UPS truck, school bus, all excellent. The residential section is great I love the grey house. The pink Cali style house, the ice cream shop. Excellent use of the FB for a police station. The skyscraper is amazing! Thanks for sharing your progress!!

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I can't wait to get this set. Much better with 2 escalators. TLG probably wanted it to be as spacious as possible maybe thats why they only put 1 in?

While trying different corner MOC's this building started looking more and more like a Chinese restaurant. Hats off to the Creator Family Home for all the tan!! Here is version 2: And finally version 3: All 3 have removable roof and floor. Thanks for looking and thanks for all the great inspiration I get from seeing everyone else's MOC's here. Comment, criticism, and feedback always welcome!

This is great stuff, as usual. And why are you not working at LEGO?

I love it! My friend at work has a 73 Cougar and your rendition looks great!! The engine looks great with the rad hose and v belt. Nice job! The nose, grille, lights and bumper are excellent!! I agree with VMLN8R, YAY for studs!! -

I'm with you on that Richb, not a bad idea to grab a few, hang on for a while, then whore them out on eBay when the time is right.

Absolutely correct Legoist.

This is a cool set, I picked one up on eBay a few years ago. Its heavily modified from original though. I don't like the doubled up tires. Thanks for the review!

Nice review and comparison. I never had the original set as a kid. I also never really noticed how big the new bike is compared to the size of the minifig.
