  1. All new SW Lego now seems to have Disney on the box (whether Rebels, TFA, or from other films). Star Wars Rebels is also a show on Disney XD, and the A-wing pilot is from that show...
  2. Another option for Robotman's head is the Echo Zane head from the upcoming 70594 Ninjago Lighthouse Siege set. I don't know if he has an alt-face on the back of his head, but his main face would be pretty snazzy for Robotman. If there's an alt-face that you'd really rather cover up, there's always this bit of headgear in gold...bonus is that it'd give Robotman, a big bruiser-looking character in the Teen Titans show, a nice big jaw!
  3. Yes, it is the armor Jyn's wearing in the teaser. It's a new type of Imperial. Note how on the box it has landing batons... those might be what are attached to Jyn's backplate in the teaser. Yeah, but...the same price point for two sets released at the same time, with over 100 pieces separating their total piece-counts?
  4. That TIE Striker price seems off... shouldn't it be no more than $59.99?
  5. Many of the characters in the show are different from their comic (and/or Lego) iterations... For Peter Parker, I think using the arms from the CMF Gamer and a plain black torso would work nicely with some dark brown pants. Yeah, his shirt's blue in the cartoon, but I don't know of any blue/gray 'sleeve' arms yet... Then you've got JJJ, Harry Osborn, Gwen, MJ, various villains, etc...
  6. Jyn's might be a special weapon, as noted (rocket launcher or something maybe), but the shoretrooper's rifle might be specific to officers or certain types of shoretroopers. Most wear tan & black, but amidst the group of shoretroopers & stormies you see in the teaser running in the background, some shoretroopers have different deco... one has a partially-blue shoulder piece (the one this is based off, likely), one has a red bicep piece on his right arm, one has a black & white band around his left bicep, etc. Could be some have new heavy rifles. Simple enough to give him a regular stormie blaster, tho. Indeed! The set's supposed to be the main selling point at that scale, which is why they often don't have minifigs...or only have lackluster ones (like the R2 in the X-wing set). I don't know that having an arm-printed TIE pilot with unique helmet deco was getting many people to drop $200 on the UCS TIE...or that the arm printing on Boba was a major factor for those purchasing Slave I. Would've been better had they swapped Bobas between that & the Carbon Freeze set; I think more people would buy the latter with an arm-printed Boba and an Ugnaught as incentive. Especially those who already bought Slave I! Upgrade a figure for their behemoth of a ship, plus get a little playset & an Ugnaught...and a spare Han & carbonite-slab.
  7. There are a couple Bricklink sellers that have 'em a little cheaper, so that's an option! I picked up half a dozen that way. I almost regret it... suddenly having boots for only a handful of my SW minifigs seems a little strange. Sadly, not yet. The only dark tan legs I can find with "boots" is in the mini-doll format, and those are brown boots (tho I'd love some dark tan minifig legs with brown boots for, like, Captain Antilles...or Malcolm Reynolds!) This whole 'boots' thing is probably gonna become the next wave of major SW minifig upgrades. "Do all your X-wing pilots have boots yet?" etc... After that, we'll finally get OT helmets with dual-molded visors and then have to replace all the heads & helmets of our Red & Gold Squadrons (and Rogues). It never ends!
  8. We don't get a very good look at the Special Forces pilots & gunners, but at least the pilots seem to sport red vertical stripes... but my memory of how many individual ones we saw in TFA is fuzzy, so it could be a custom thing, like the different silver markings on various OT TIE pilot helmets (not as extensive or noticeable as the different Rebel helmet markings, but still there). Unfortunately Lego didn't print anything to differentiate the helmets of the two pilots included in the Special Forces TIE set.
  9. Here's a handy-dandy tutorial on the subject! There's already a SW Purist thread here: Purist Star Wars Figures
  10. Right here! It & most other SW-type weapons are under the "Loose Accessories>Weapons>Catalyst & Energy" categories when you click thru the menus.
  11. "K-2SO" isn't very blurry... you can blow up the pic and it's pretty clearly "SO" in the "CLASSIFIED K-2SO TECHNICAL DRAWINGS" caption... the "O" matches the "O" to the left where it says "CLASSIFIED DOCUMENT IMPERIAL ARMY". I wouldn't trust "someone on reddit", not after yesterday's debacle with a redditor claiming to be on the crew and unloading 'details' about the film and how Disney wants to de-fang the entire thing.
  12. And yet in the very pic you linked, the two 'lineart' images seem to suggest it's "K-2SO". Only the text on that page is definitely "K-250", and it's easy to make such mistakes when typing (there are about a million examples or more of people typing "C-3P0" instead of "C-3PO"...sometimes even by people employed by Lucasfilm!). "K-2SO" sounds like a better droid name than "K-250" IMO. The Shoretroopers have some design elements of Scout Troopers, and the Tanktroopers are reminiscent of certain clone armor varieties in a way... I got more of a Halo feel from SWTOR's armor designs, really. But as to that new question raised by their existence, there's an easy answer: we never saw any situation in the OT where they'd be applicable. No tanks were used in the Hoth assault, or at Endor. And no island/beach/coastline environments were depicted in the OT, so Shoretroopers (if that's their assigned habitat) wouldn't be required. In other words, we didn't see them in the OT for the same reason we didn't see Snowtroopers or Scout Troopers in ANH. We don't know the specific function of the Death Troopers yet, so for now all we can fall back on is "It's a big galaxy". People forget that the OT barely showed us anything in terms of the GFFA or the full makeup of Imperial forces. We saw maybe half a dozen planets (plus glimpses of Coruscant & Naboo in the revised ROTJ ending), and only a few kinds of Imperial troopers, and even when we saw them amassed in one place, that place was still only a single hangar in a space station the size of a moon. We never saw very much of the crews of the Death Stars, or of any Star Destroyers. A couple bridge officers & guards, a couple assistants, and some crewmen in the pits, some gunners or techs. That's really it. Only regular TIEs and Interceptors were thrown against the Alliance at Endor, too (maybe some bombers I'm forgetting), so it's also entirely possible that other fighter types could be in service elsewhere (especially if it's a specialty type like the TIE Striker which is rumored to be designed for atmospheric flight specifically).
  13. I was under the impression we only learn about those things shortly before they happen...
  14. If they don't include hair for her, then I expect it'll be with her in a Winter wave set.
  15. The rumor is that the regular stormies will be in January's Battle Packs, and/or any new Rogue One sets in the Winter wave.
  16. I'm not sure it's really meant to be that strict a separation... Phasma's got a silver gun, too, and two Rebel troops in the RO sets have black blasters with Technic half-pins on 'em (presumably they're meant to represent DH-17s, but small blasters w/ pins are so much better for those!). This is probably more about getting the gunmetal blasters out in wider distribution, perhaps (wish they'd do the same with the gunmetal saber hilt, too... it'll be interesting to see if Chirrut's staff or Jyn's blaster really are as silver as the silver hilts suggest in the actual film, and Rey's staff would be a lot nicer if it had gunmetal hilts on, like, a tan bar maybe--or gunmetal, once they make one)
  17. It's a short chain, attached not to the base but to the far side of the gun. No. Until The Lego Group officially releases the photos, they're still "leaks" and shouldn't be posted.
  18. Jyn may be the only female in the wave, but there's still some diversity (the brown-skinned Rebel in the AT-ST set)... and it's possible--unlikely, maybe--that one of the helmeted Imperial troops may have a female head. We know Jyn dresses like one of the Imperial Landing Crew/Engineer types at some point, so for all we know there's another copy of her head underneath that new helmet! The alien, Bestan, is not the same species as Unkar Plutt (a Crolute). Bestan's got fur. The Rebel pilot definitely doesn't have Porkins' head... Porkins still had the plain orange visor-print, remember? Not the detailed lighter prints of recent years, nor did he have a printed chin strap; that's the "snowspeeder pilot" head used for Dak Ralter, the Microfighter Snowspeeder pilot, and Wedge & Janson from the UCS Hoth set. The Enforcer Droid looks quite different from the medical droids we've seen. His neck & head jut forward from the body, which is a marked difference. The other alien seems to have a dark bley head and a separate hat, so that's nice! Just a shame he's only in the big set; it'd be great to get both aliens in smaller sets down the line so they'll be cheaper to acquire, so we can add more of their species (whatever they turn out to be) to our MOCs and armies & whatnot. I suppose it's also possible that one or both aliens will turn out to be female! Who knows? I wish Krennic came with the short silver blaster, like Rey in the Falcon set; having a big ol' Phasma rifle seems like a mistake, given the size of the pistol we've seen him with.
  19. Huh... yeah, that's odd. Even in the teaser trailer, the ones you see running alongside regular stormies inside the Imperial facility seem to have tan armor on both arms for the most part. I saw one with a bit of blue on top of his left shoulder armor, and a few ranks behind there's one with a red right bicep piece. A sand blue/tan 'sleeve' arm would've been more appropriate, perhaps, but at least it should be easy enough to swap out this arm for a tan one if you want. It's not really a "Death Star Trooper" tho; those guys wear big open-face helmets and no armor! But good spotting there! Even has the blue square there... so those things on her back might be the landing batons the guy has on the TIE Striker box. To those worried about Jyn, she certainly has torso printing under her poncho.
  20. It's nice to see they put a Technic half-pin on a blaster in the AT-ST set, but I'm a little bummed they put in on the "short blaster", the typical Stormie blaster, at least if it's meant to be a DH-17 like the Rebel troops on the Tantive IV use... a half-pin on the small blaster works much, much better for that IMO. It's an easy thing to change, kinda like it's probably pretty easy to swap out the AT-ST Driver's hands for black 'gloved' hands. Or maybe we'll see a larger blaster among the Rebel arsenal with a silver/gray barrel and that's what this trooper's meant to be using...
  21. Leia didn't turn up until the Winter wave. That's likely where Forest's character will appear.
  22. It's just you; the one on the right with the new helmet with dark green on top doesn't look like he's got lipstick to me; odds are, just a Rebel Trooper. He shares his legs with the Rebel Trooper (in the Endor hat with a gray band) in the TIE Striker set. It'd make sense to have Jyn in multiple sets, but we probably won't see her again until the winter wave (where she'll likely appear without her hat, I imagine). Even if you think that Rebel Trooper still has lipstick, the fact he's part of 75155 just like the hat/goggle Jyn rules him out as being "another Jyn". 75152 Tank: 2 tank troopers, Chirrut (blind guy) 75153 AT-ST: AT-ST Driver, Baze (heavy-weapons guy with red backpack), Rebel Trooper with a new hat 75154 TIE Striker: TIE pilot, Rebel Trooper (new Endor hat), Shoretrooper, and a black-clad guy with a walkie-talkie with a printed tile on it, and landing baton things in the box art... i.e. most definitely not a "Death Star Trooper". His helmet looks like a Death Star Gunner's, sorta, with the 'dimples' in the forehead part like Kallus' helmet or a Death Star Trooper's. 75155 U-wing: Rebel pilot (not Porkins; this guy's clean-shaven, and I doubt Porkins would wear a different helmet-deco a day or three before ANH), Bestan (furry alien), Jyn Erso (with a hat/hair combo & goggles), Cassian Andor (in his "blue Hoth Han" coat), Rebel Trooper (helmet kinda like Commander Sato's troops in Star Wars Rebels) 75156 Imperial Cargo Shuttle (or whatever): K-250, Bodhi (guy wearing a faded Imperial jumpsuit & goggles), Pad (gray alien with brown hat), Death Trooper (I expect two), Director Krennic. ...might not be a very long wait to see a proper Thrawn minifig, tho. Guess it depends on whether the winter wave will serve up any Rebels sets based on the premiere of Season 3! (still just a rumor, with a tease by Filoni, but it'll likely pan out as Thrawn becoming a canon character in Star Wars media that could merit a Lego minifig) EDIT: No, that's just a Rebel trooper. Whitaker's character has facial hair, this guy doesn't... he also wears somewhat bulky armor which might warrant some Malgus/Inquisitor-style armor piece over his torso, but this guy's just in a uniform. I expect Whitaker's character (perhaps Mads' character as well) will turn up in the winter wave's second allotment of Rogue One sets, much like Leia & Ackbar did with TFA.
  23. Even if he's a Bothan, we wouldn't know if he was one of the 'many' until, like, "Rogue Three" or something, because "many Bothans" only died to bring info about the second Death Star. Re: BP potential, I'm not sure the Imperial BP will be "1 of each". I expect the Tank Trooper to be in a Microfighter version of the tank, which could/should free up a slot in an Imp BP for others... I really dig the AT-ST driver's helmet! Finally a "goggles-up" version! Just gotta slap an old head & helmet on the latest "light gray crew uniform" body that this one reuses and we'll have a nice matching pair with goggles up and down.
