Yes Lord Vader...
-
Methinks he was ignored as a child... & needs attention... Lord Vader will be happy to give you his full attention... with a force choke-hold ;)
-
I also expand on every themes. This makes me have one of th biggest lego collection around this place :-D Not to mention some people offer me their lego for free sometimes so I can have new pieces from various themes and they are just great :) Like I said, I could never turn down free LEGO... gotta love it! :-D Life is Good.

This statement... it is so sad that we have to say this about our beloved LEGO... :( I really don't know what I plan on doing with those two 4+ Pirate sets I have. They are both currently sitting in my daughters room ever since we opened them & built them together... I may think of something soon ;). Like I said though, if I had seen them for more $, I would probably never have bought them, & just got the parts I wanted from Bricklink as well ;) . Life is Good.

Dang lack of Jedi powers... |-/
-
I actually bought two of the 4+ sets, the Pirate ship & the 'island', for a grand total of $5... I also bought three of the Galidor figs from TRU a few years back for 44 cents apiece (I figured they would be nice historical pieces for the Dark Ages of LEGO ;) )... Also, I have bought Clickits as well... I have a four year-old daughter who just loves them:-D ... So what is my point? My point is that I never said I would go out of my way to acquire all the themes that LEGO produces, but if the price is right, I will NEVER say "no" to any of them (especially if they are free ;) )... Life is Good.

Definetly a freak... Life is Good.

It is funny to me when anyone asks a member of forums such as these whether they are wanting to expand their *insert any theme* LEGO collection... maybe I am alone in this respect, but I am ALWAYS looking to expand my actual collection of LEGO, regardless of the theme (gotta love the compatibility of LEGO ;) ) I just can't seem to get enough LEGO, it is an addiction... Life is Good.

mister_phes, educate yourself :-D It has only been played at E3 in a Demo form (not a finished game)... which is what jipay was implying... I do hope it turns out to be a good game, as I have been waiting for a good Pirate game for quite some time... so far, they have only been dissapointing... Life is Good.

Fried Stormtrooper is too crispy & tough for human consumption... so are you implying that you are not human mister_phes? Perhaps just a different form of scum? Either way mister_phes, we will find you & we will force you to watch Ms. Hilton eat... your attempt at neutrality has not been overlooked, but it is futile due to the fact that making a statement such as "I have no intention of becoming involved with anything." verifies that you have become involved... & "involved" you shall be *twisted* ... prepare for the wrath of the TIE Army!

*ahem* Life is Good.

Lord Vader- Due to collaborating reports from snefroe1 & a great deal of other TIEs, we are now searching for this "Millenium Falcon" ship as of now. Intelligence reports that it has been called a "hunk of junk" & that someone would be considered extremely "brave" to fly it... will report when furthur information is available...

PHOTO REVIEW - Vladek's Dark Fortress!
eDeevo replied to The Middleman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Bloody Jay- Thanks for the awesome review! The pictures were really nice & I am beginning to see TLC come out of making really horrible sets & attempting to stick to actual Castles again. Although I am not as impressed like many others with the set itself, I am looking at it from a future perspective, with optimism concerning the future of the LEGO Castle line. The new triangular shields are sweet, as well as all the other shields within the set, and the new armor looks great as well. I just wish TLC would stop making the Jelly Bean Knights, *yuck*! & those blasted swords... I may never get this set, but overall I have high hopes for the future of LEGO Castle... now bring on the Grey Castles! Life is Good. -
Lord Vader, we are closing in on the character known as 'mister_phes'... intelligence reports that he is armed well with primitive single-hand firing mechanisims along with many sharp & pointy rods known as 'cutlasses'... intellegence also reports a massive amount of larger firing mechanisms that have been referred to as 'cannons'... we cannot, at this present time, determine how effective our blasters will be against this enemy... but we will report back when it is clear...

It's true that if the consoles keep veering towards "multi-use", you would be better off buying a computer... I don't know if the gaming companies realize that there are many people out there (myself included) that just want to play games on a gaming system... I don't care for e-mail, internet, etc... & Akkhraziel, I don't really understand what you are trying to say about Sony being wrong (about reverse compatibility), I own one of the first line of Playstation 2s (bought in January 2001) & I have never come across a game or DVD that it has had problems reading... & I have played over 200 games & at least 300 DVDs on the sucker since then & it's still going strong 8-| ... Life is Good.

I suppose that depends upon your point of view... I am not currently employed as a programmer right now (although, I believe the correct term would be computer software engineer ;) )... it is more of a hobby than anything else right now... :-D Life is Good.

Lord Vader, We are currently in sector 7, continually searching for the vortex to bring us nearer to this 'mister_phes' character's personal 'plane of existence'... and actually, no wait, there it is!! --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- -- --- --- *---*

Wow, you take a few days off & people go nuts :-D Seriously though, thanks for the kind words guys... It has been great being part of your 'community' recently (even though I am on the other side of the pond) It has been a wonderful weekend of BBQ & rest (not a typical predicament for us military folk ;) )... & I actually scored on 15 Final Duel II sets at a going-out-of-business Kaybee locally for $0.44 apiece... gotta love those Stormtroopers ;) Funny thing is, you'd think I'd feel different at the age of 30, but having a 4 year-old around keeps me from feeling it too much, if at all ;) Here's to another 30! Life is Good.

Yes Lord Vader... mister_phes, if you do not comply, I will be forced to disentegrate my own Pirate forces while you are forced to observe... I know you cannot handle this being the Pirate lover that you are... do not make it come to that point...
-
I only got the one :-D Life is Good.
-
Correct, as usual mister_phes :-D Life is Good.

I know people want to remain positive about this, but in my experience, if a business is vague in their description of something like this, they are doing so to hide something |-/ . Doesn't it seem suspicious that they didn't just announce that ALL XBox games would be playable on the 360? It seems that Microsoft panicked when they realized that not doing so would cause them to lose business to Sony (who does offer full reverse compatibility)... perhaps it wasn't in the works originally for Microsoft to make it fully reverse compatible, but now it has been realized that it is necessary & it will be so before the release of the 360, although within the time frame they are looking to release it, it seems 'iffy'... 8-| Akkhraziel, contrary to where it seems my allegiance to a console lies, I am a strong proponent of having more than one around (not just because I have all three ;) ). You are right that competing businesses will essentially guarantee benefits in many ways to us gamers... which is very good ;) Also it seems, from the specs alone on the different systems, that the Nintendo Revolution will be cheaper in price than the other consoles, which will probably have me buying that system first ;) Life is Good.
-
As much as I'd love it to be the 6268 Renegade Runner, alas it is not :( (although I do have a deal in the works for one to get to me soon ;) )... so it appears that through deductive reasoning, you have come to the solution of which Pirate set I now have (that I didn't before)... yes, it is 6261 Raft Raiders :-D Now comes the set that I received a duplicate of in the Pirate line, as well as the three other sets in the Castle line :) &.....go! Life is Good.
-
Call me an "ignorant American", but I seriously have no idea what you're talking about... is it soccer perhaps? Life is Good.

I couldn't agree more :-D Life is Good.
