  1. Its a good thing I have many different size spare hulls to use :-D I'll also just have to do some experimenting... hopefully this weekend... I'll be sure & take some pics if I do...:-D Life is Good.
  2. They already have a large display for these at my local TRU (saw it last week). Phes is right, it looks to be more of a playset than a construction toy (as the main parts are one big piece). The look okay, but they still aren't LEGO... although they do beat the socks off the 4+ LEGO Pirates sets ;) Life is Good.
  3. Oh we've built it at least five times now phes, its just she wants to build it again & again... I figure the next time we have a father/daughter build session, I will just leave it assembled on her dresser... :-D We also have a fish, a betta, & we don't have to clean the tank but once a year (it is much cleaner than most other fish ;) ) Life is Good.
  4. Thats a great idea phes! I have two Clippers, and when I get a third, I might just 'borrow' you idea there... :-D Life is Good.
  5. Once again, I can only agree with you. At least that is how I justify to myself why I buy or trade for duplicates of Castle or Pirate sets ;) Life is Good.
  6. We've been discussing what the younger children think of these new 4+ Pirate sets. He has a 4 year old daughter and I have a 4 year old nephew so both are the intended age for these sets, but both prefer the older SYSTEM sets. Does anyone else know of a kiddie this age? If so what is their opinion of these 4+ sets? Ed's very well educated daughter Oh, I will phes, I will ;) She always asks to build the set I got in a trade a few weeks ago, the Renegade Runner... she loves Pirate ships... it makes me so proud *satis* I can't wait for my new sets to come in... more on that in another post...
  7. I agree completely. The only thing that saves me is when I am wrapped up in work, life, or whatever & I don't have time to browse eBay or bricklink... kind of the "if I can't see a deal, then I won't spend money on it" concept... which seems to happen every so often, so it keeps my addiction kind of in check... :-D BTW phes, take a look at the second pic in my post over in the Cummunity forum, I think you'd appreciate it ;) Life is Good.
  8. Its an addiction mister_phes, & I have it as well... its just difficult to pass up a deal on LEGO :-D Life is Good.
  9. I have the same problem right now... its a good thing I got a digital camera before I discovered the wonder that is bricklink ;) Life is Good.
  10. I just wonder what all of you good folks have in the area of 'pets' at home, so I ask if you would post pics of them here... This is our 1-year old Beagle "Kaycee"...: She's crazy... but not as crazy as when her & my daughter get together: & mister_phes, I figured you'd get a kick out of that last pic :-D Life is Good.
  11. You don't even want to see their prices for Full-Service... :-D Life is Good.
  12. Hmmm... perhaps I have not made my loyalties clear here, because if it was completely accurate I'd be called "Tie Army Grand Moff, LEGO Addict, & Castle/Pirate Theme Fanatic"... Although I suppose that may be too long a title... :$ Life is Good.
  13. I am in total agreement... the youngings over at fbtb have caused me to want to visit there less & less... like you stated, "too many people who take themselves too seriously"... Life is Good (@ the Eurobricks community :-D ).
  14. I thought I recognized that picture... :-D Ahh, very fond memories of that catalog... *satis* Life is Good.
  15. Perhaps you should save up some of you 'LEGO money' ( ;) )& get yourself a digital camera as they aren't as expensive as they used to be... although, I am not familiar with the market down under :-D Just a thought... Life is Good.
  16. & when you say "we" you mean... who exactly? Life is Good.
  17. I look forward to seeing your personal creations mister_phes... should be a treat *satis* Someday, I will do the same... always not enough room for them :( Life is Good.
  18. Competition can sometimes be a good thing, true... we can only hope :-D Life is Good.
  19. Happy B-Day... & always remember... Life is Good.
  20. In my own defense, I did warn you, albeit not personally ;) Life is Good.
  21. I may be acting rashly, but this may spell bad news for our beloved LEGO... Don't Click unless you are ready for this!!! Only time will tell... Life is Good.
  22. Lord Vader... all TIEs are engaged in heavy fighting within the *---* system & are continuing priority one assignment of finding the rebels... will report again when they are captured...
  23. Wage-wise, I cannot compare to others right now (the US Gov'ment dosen't pay us soldiers well), but because in instances like the recent sale at my local Wal-Mart, where they had the newer X-Wing for $12.50, & the fact that it took over 4 months for them to finally sell them all off, provides me with ample opportunity to continue collecting LEGO without fear of spending great deals of $$. Like I said, deals like this are fairly commonplace within this country... which is mainly the only reason I buy newer sets at all... otherwise I'd just stick to buying Classic Castle & (older) Pirate LEGO sets & minifigs on eBay & bricklink (or trading for them from good folks like yourselves)... :-D Life is Good.
  24. I still don't understand how you guys do it in other countries... the prices many of you have to pay for LEGO would probably keep me out of collecting entirely... if any of you ever need any help locating anything at a cheaper price (discounted or not) within the USA, I'd be more than happy to help you out... Life is Good.
  25. That has to be one of the best parts of the game... watching (and participating) in the on-going brawls throughout the diner area between good & evil... my daughter still gets a kick out of it... :-D Life is Good.
