*transmission Imperially-coded* In an effort to be an 'equal opportunity employer' we hired several color-blind TIE Pilots, who are unfamiliar with the color system, so lets just call it the "flashy-thingy" alert for their sake... ;) Ed-Out...

I think that statement about the pic is an insult to pigs... :-D Life is Good.

DoubleT- I like the avatar, well done (although I can't stand that actor on the left |-/ ) & yes, there are good sports, this is just not one of them as far as I am concerned... I can hear the cameramen back there right now "there's the money shot!"... |-D Life is Good.

I got this game last week & I have been playing it with my daughter ever since (she is four). It is an absolutely fun game to play! True it is focused on kids more, but watching the Star Wars story unfold through LEGO is an absolutely entertaining experience. & the fact that my daughter loves to play it as well makes it that much more enjoyable. Life is Good. :-D

I'd agree you went a tad overboard... So to be clear, of the ones you didn't have, which you MIGHT have now: 1481 Desert Island 1713 Shipwrecked Pirate 1723 Bonus Pack (Pirate & Castle sets) 1733 Shipwrecked Pirate 1788 Pirate's Chest 1795 Imperial Cannon 1802 Tidy Treasure 1871 Pirate Cannon 1872 Imperial Guard Camp 1873 Pirate Treasure ****6266 Cannon Cove**** 6281 Pirates Perilous Pitfall (you said "no" to this one) 6292 Enchanted Island 6296 Shipwreck Island You say you received one(s) that you already had as well... this may take some extensive research & time that I do not have available at the present... Any more hints?... Life is Good.

I like the uniqueness of making ones own avatar... The fbtb ones are pretty nifty though (and they have much more than just Star Wars ;) ). As a proponent of free choice, I figure if someone wants to use them its fine with me... I adhere to to the "to each his own" theory :-D Life is Good.

YES! Two more ships!!

"zzz...zzz...zzz..." Look Lord Vader... we bring you the rebel "languages", who appears to be in a coma or sleeping, we cannot be sure... Do with him what you will Lord... and about that choke-hold Lord, I am ready to feel your wrath... be gentle though, I bruise easily...

True, but because the movie was such a great hit, would that not allow Disney (who I believe owns the rights to the movies) to demand a premium ($$) to get such a license (TLC not being the only 'construction toy' probably interested in it). That premium may cost TLC too much $$ to really profit from the 'commercial impact'. Methinks that is what has been happening lately (TLC losing $$ & such, at the same time gobbling up licenses like Harry Potter, SW, Spider-Man, The Discovery Channel, Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder, etc.)... Is it not better to completely design and market originality within your product than depend upon a license that will cost money and limit you in ways? (refer to SW-Hasbro connection & the reason we see no minifig packs for SW LEGO)... & I hate to say it, but the most successful line within TLC lately has been a completely original idea, anyone heard of Bionicle? It is originality that will give TLC greater success, it has been proven well in the past... It's just my 2 cents... Life is Good.

You are correct, there is nothing "elegant" about that... in fact, I don't believe any picture taken of these guys would EVER appear "elegant"... ;) Life is Good.

Blast! This is like a riddle wrapped in a burrito being devoured by a termite on steroids... uh, yea, you probably should just ignore that... I think I'll keep trying... Life is Good.

Blast! So I am correct & I need to retry!? Well, at least I guessed on one... gotta love that instinct... You say you "mean a set, not spare parts or accessories"... don't a lot of the smaller sets just consist of 'accessories' ;) Anyways, out of these: 1481 Desert Island 1696 Pirate Lookout 1713 Shipwrecked Pirate 1723 Bonus Pack (Pirate & Castle sets) 1729 Barnacle Bay 1733 Shipwrecked Pirate 1747 Pirate Treasure Surprise 1788 Pirate's Chest 1795 Imperial Cannon 1802 Tidy Treasure 1871 Pirate Cannon 1872 Imperial Guard Camp 1873 Pirate Treasure 1889 Pirate's Treasure Hold 6204 Buccaneers 6251 Pirate Minifigures ****6266 Cannon Cove**** 6281 Pirates Perilous Pitfall 6292 Enchanted Island 6296 Shipwreck Island Which one(s) did you get... So essentially, out of these that you are still missing, which are you now not missing...? Hmmm... I pose a question to you mister_phes, did you get a set (or sets) that I do not have? Need reference help? Here you go: Look under "ed_dotcom" Answer my question, and I will continue my 'guessing'... Life is Good.

Yes, they are inferior... & their colors do not match well at all with LEGO... I know this because when I buy boxes full of LEGO from Yard Sales, there are typically MegaBlocks mixed in with them... must seperate vile bricks from priceless LEGO... Life is Good.
-
I look at them as an inferior sub theme... mainly because the sets were not designed as well as the original Forestmen & the fact that they call them "Dark Forest" sets... Life is Good.

I couldn't have said it better, which is why I voted "other". I simply want TLC to get back to its roots and avoid licenses that force it to adhere to specific areas where we get sets that limit the imagination (as well as cost TLC $$, that could be better used elsewhere). The original themes used no licenses, and many were done very well (Castle, Pirate, Town, etc.), where are those themes now? This is why my money is only spent on TLC's old product lines... I am optimistic for the future though, gimme more of the Classics LEGO!!! :-D Life is Good.

Okay, heres my next guess miste_phes (only because you keep trying ;) )... I think it is one of the following: 1481 Desert Island 1696 Pirate Lookout 1713 Shipwrecked Pirate 1723 Bonus Pack (Pirate & Castle sets) 1729 Barnacle Bay 1733 Shipwrecked Pirate 1747 Pirate Treasure Surprise 1788 Pirate's Chest 1795 Imperial Cannon 1802 Tidy Treasure 1871 Pirate Cannon 1872 Imperial Guard Camp 1873 Pirate Treasure 1889 Pirate's Treasure Hold 5058 Pirate Accessories 5060 Pirate Cannons 5122 Pirate Accessories 5139 Pirate Cannons 5150 Pirate Elements 6204 Buccaneers 6251 Pirate Minifigures 6255 Pirate Comic 6266 Cannon Cove 6280 Armada Flagship 6281 Pirates Perilous Pitfall 6292 Enchanted Island 6296 Shipwreck Island You said it wasn't the 6255, but I figured I'd toss that in there anyways... My money is on the 6266 Cannon Cove *satis* Am I correct, or do I need to retry? Life is Good.

Something I could have done well without reading... *sick* Life is Good.

Wow, this thread has been going... To answer your question mister_phes, no, the blocks from "BRICK" (or any of the other 'clone' brands I have seen) are not marked with their own logo. I believe that it is obvious that many of these 'companies' are attempting to dupe people into believing they are LEGO because (1) Their cover art is similar (if not the same), (2) Some logos are very similar (Coko & LOGO for example), (3) Their names are equally similar (Coko, Blocko, LOGO, for example), and (4) The blocks are EXACTLY the same size & such. It is these areas that seperate MegaBlocks from all other clones. MegaBlocks cover art is much different, their logo is unique, they print their logo on their 'bricks' & such, and they are far different in design and such from actual LEGO (unlike clones). Although, let me be clear, I detest MegaBlocks with a passion... Life is Good.

Me thinks that Yoda got much 'cooler' in the eyes of fans after his little lightsaber duel at the end of Episode II ;) That little green guy went nuts... Life is Good.

Well mister_phes, you asked for it, so here is the list... *ALL of my LEGO sets are freed from their cardboard & plastic prisons :-D

Surely... Life is Good.

Ahh, it may be some time... I have many things in life that tend to take up my time (job, daughter, wife ;) ) leaving little for MOCs. But I will begin work when the time is right & i will probably involve my daughter in some way (because she loves building with "blocks", she calls them)... I need to first decide on what I am to build then get a visual picture in my head before I start, otherwise it will take me forever to build anything (call it LEGO ADD ;) ) But rest assured, I am definetly starting things within my mind :-D Life is Good.

Sadly, I do not as yet have myself a SES. It is however, high on my wish list as of now ;) I do have pics of a few ships (custom, & the like) within my BrickShelf gallery, but no SES. Although, you have seen pics of some of the Piratey items I have been gathering up lately in trades (hulls, masts, etc.), & the fact that my cannon total has risen over 80, I figure there will be a large Pirate Ship MOC in my future ;) Life is Good.

It would be an honor to be force-choked by you Lord Vader in time.... but at this present time we draw near to the rebel that thou hast asked us to pursue... "languages" will be in our grasp soon...
