Heroica RPG - Quest#130: Sisters in Salmanda
Pyrovisionary replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Suddenly, Jon stood up straight, taut. There was a hesitation in which he looked confused, some message obviously being conveyed. Then his shoulders sagged, despite his burden finally being lifted and, wincing, he fell to his knees with a clatter of metal. There was a gong-ish clunk as his hands flew up to rip off his helm and then cradle his heavy head. He sobbed softly, the sounds largely muffled by his hands. He'd been so. Damn. Stupid. Shed been right infront of his eyes, for months. The resemblance to her mother was uncanny, and he'd discarded her as some sort of ditz. What sort of father was he to her? Well, now he'd find out.- 1,180 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest#130: Sisters in Salmanda

Sarge relaxed a little when entering the sanctuary, and lowered his shoulders then exhaled in content. The old man grunted in disdain at Eric's treatment of the priest - an agent of Orphaniel after all. He gave the statue of the angel a hopeful look, but he still felt even more hopeless than usual. He had failed - he couldn't find his daughter and probably never would. She'd still be in Charis, or even Babeleth or something. He wiped a tear away from his eye, and lowered his visor with a clunk to hide his melancholy mood. All these years he'd somehow survived wars and conflict - it seemed so easy now.- 1,180 replies

It's the sanctuary in the holy district Sarge grunted in disdain at aunt Ovelia, but sheathed the demonic greatsword out of respect. "Yes ma'am." he muttered, and looked at the ground with a foul stare. He raises his hand and gestures for Peri, Boomers and rex to follow him to the Sanctuary with Eric- 1,180 replies

Sarge lowered his sword and leant on its pummel - listening the the Rito and her Canine mistress. He put his hand on Eric's chest, stepped forward and gritted his teeth. "I aint had that much action here, I'll handle this glorified owl." the old man hefted the demonic greatsword onto his shoulder with ease. "You'll see what a real angel looks like when Orthaniel comes for your soul" he gestured at aunty Kree.- 1,180 replies

Two years prediction, though I believe Sandy also said that 3 years ago.

Sarge drew the demonic greatsword and held it out at arms length to his side, blocking the sisters. He stayed silent, and smirked smugly. He snorted in amusement and maintained an aged malevolent grin, then took a step forward. Waiting for the others to make there move.- 1,180 replies

Sarge slid the gold off of the table and into his satchel for safekeeping - right next to the tyrant statuette. At Eric's indication of the compass, he immediately pocketed the damned thing and bit his lip. "I'm on the way out. This'll find me way back in. Then -" He drew the knife he'd bought from those midgets - a butterfly knife- and stabbed it hard into the table with a thud "Then, all them try-hards back in Eubric. Kaboom." He winked at Eric and grinned with empty eyes. Before calming down and pocketing the knife. "It's for the curse, innit." He muttered downtrodden.- 1,180 replies

Sarge sat down at a table in the palace square and exhaled sadly a golden statue (Henry from Quest #100 reward) in his bag, funny, must've picked it up with the Tyrant statue. He exchanged it with a merchant for 200 gold- 1,180 replies

Sarge smiled weakly back at Eric and shrugged sheepishly. This turned into a smirk when Heckz entered. "Edgy, certainly lad." He rolled his shoulders back in relaxation and annoyance and exhaled angrily. Idiot went on without them, man must have an agenda.- 1,180 replies

Ooc: can we sell artifacts at the boutique? Sarge grumbled angrily when he saw Rex and Boomingham enter the palace without waiting to regroup. He bought a cloak of the grand vizier and sold his jewelry. He tightened his grip around the demonic greatsword, and strode into the palace, fuming.- 1,180 replies

His face facaded with a frown, it seemed there was to be no confrontation with the wolf lass. Nonetheless, he would go out in at least some glory. A comforting thought struck Sarge, and he gritted his teeth happily. "Eric, mate. If I ever shed this damn curse, we'll do to Eubric what we did here - a cleansing fire." He looked at his friend with hopeful eyes, and gestured that they walk to the palace district . "Legacy an' whatnot. We'll leave our mark alright." He unsheathed the demonic greatsword and twirled it in his hands, reassuring himself with its weight, and smiled disconcertingly. "You get the rest of the black market last night?"- 1,180 replies

We certainly take this game far to seriously, examples including us currently analysing ourselves and discussing the factions mechanically irrelevent ideologies. But then again it is this dedication that leads to such good quests.

One of the things about us as a community is that we don't know when to shut up. And that's coming from me. Could we all cut back on the snide remarks please? Because unlike in real life this time we're all the sarcastic one.
-
Welcome to the game Windusky! We tend to get over full of ourselves and seriously overthink things at times for no apparent reason. Good to see a new player who is seasoned in the ways of Eurobricks. I think I originally built my character as a figbarf for a Mitgardian ship captain.

Sarge bit his upper lip and tried to smile. His usual smirk or grin gone. Was his daughter even alive? He shut his eyes for a moment, and opened them with the rage and precision of a tornado. He smiled disturbingly wildly, eyes wide. And grabbed Peri by the arm "Right lass, we're going in." He exhaled and half led half dragged Peri and Eric to the guards. He intimidated them with his glazed look and empty smile "Right lads, you remember me? Last night I carried the body of a sister here to find her killer. Her killer's in there - wolf lady - behind that door you two are guarding. You want to let us in or you want there to be three murders?" He cracked his knuckles, rolled his shoulders, and grinned the grin of a man with nothing left to lose.- 1,180 replies

It's funny, because I don't see the LEGO licensed Oz Munchkinland Munchie Monster-munch Lind's home on that map. How odd.

Sarge readily took the compass and searched for his daughter using it. The word "Please" repeating again and again in his head - a mantra of hope. Murmurs of Ulrica's involvement in whatever passed over his head, as he bit his lip and focused on the compass. Muscles almost shivering in anticipation.- 1,180 replies

Sarge pushed himself up from the step he had been sitting on and stamped out his cigar. Grinding it into the floor with his pegleg. As the 3 blondes arrived he nodded at Eric, and noticed that they had recovered Periwinkle. He smirked slightly, rolling his shoulders back in relaxation. "Fun night clubbing?" he asked, indicating the blood splatters on weapons and clothes. "It was those poison priests by the looks of it, you lot can head out after 'em when Laurence returns. I got me a personal task, so I'll need me compass back Eric." He would find his daughter, of that he was sure. More certain than he would die. And seeing it had been a long time, he would need the compass.- 1,180 replies

Ooc: You lads are going to have to go through the holy district to get to the palace anyway, why not pick up Sarge, drop off Peri then head to the palace afterwards as a whole party.- 1,180 replies
