Hmmmm... What about SQUIDman Escape Space set in the Summer? Damnit! Why can't these Summer sets have more Clones and less clones of Anakin and Ahsoka!!! I'll definately get the Endor Battle set, and the Hoth Battle sounds good as well. Perhaps an OT year for me only... (...seeing as I'll spend a bomb on Pirates)

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
The Rancor replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hey Jinzo, there's going to be 4 specials with David Tennant in 2009. I wonder when else they might be? There won't be any more Sarah Jane until next September, but it is confirmed that there will be more. I look forward to Torchwood. I hope it comes soon after the year year. -
I think this is a new pic (not Summer): The sweet box pic of the boulder blaster from whung's gallery. SO...MUCH...DYNAMITE

For all intense and purposes, we'll say that this Christmas special IS in series 4! Oh, and on the topic of cybershades - the Cybermen do not have the technology to convert more humans completely, so they use materials from 1851 (such as the copper for faces) to make them. It is confirmed that brains of dogs and cats were used in their creation! But... yes, that Cybermegazord! WTF? I thpught some Power Rangers were gonna pop out any minute. -
Wow! Some very clear pics there. Thanks. I wonder why I can't see any Power Miners?

JUST ORDERED... 6242 Soldiers' Fort £35 approx (Pretty good. Knew it wouldn't be less than around £35 ) 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty £50 approx (WOW, WHAT A FRIGGIN' AWESOME BUY!!! ) 8396 Soldiers' Arsenal £2 approx (not £2.50 for impulse!) 8014 Clone Battle Pack £10 approx (Upped the price by about £1 on battlepacks, but still, I've got loads already (Jetix special? ) 8956 Stone Chopper £4 approx (gotta get one monster to try the theme, like Sinner )

That link is wrong - it takes me to the same 2009 sets page again!

*Terminator Accent* "I'm Baack!" WTF/ I missed a lot over the last week. I've been skiing in the Alps from the 20th of Dec to 27th. Not many Lego shops up there - all I could find in my resort was the large fire engine (€35!!!) so didn't get that. I have been keeping a check on Eurobricks surprisingly through my mobile phone, but because the site isn't mobile friendly I've only been able to see the frontpage news items - still, I have noticed some Summer 2009 pics already (mainly Castle and Bionicle)... EDIT: taken what I've bought out of this thread

Sweet! Although I'm probably not gonna buy more than one of the sets which are bigger than battlepacks!

New Spongebob Sets at TRU!
The Rancor replied to samthelegoman1's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
That pretty much sums it up - USA have everything Hmmm... That space set - squidman escape. Wonder if it has something to do with a new squidward head mold? -
Same size as the V-19? I hope so, because I want Magnaguards and don't have the original magnaguard starfighter. The piloting droid looks a bit uninspriring, but I'll need a Clone wars Dooku and his Magnaguards! Thanks for those pictures

I wonder why you got Sulfurix's favourite crystal? The set looks good, I think I'll buy it now, when it's out Love the dynamite. I'll have to inspect those rough stickers for myself to really feel what they are like.

I expect Pirates should be out very soon (hopefully in January) Perhaps these might be the Uk prices (as it reads European in the thread title) 6239 Cannon Battle: £3.99 6240 Kraken Attackin': £6.99 6241 Loot Island: £14.99 6242 Soldiers' Fort: £39.99 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty: £69.99 6253 (I think) Shipwreck Hideout: £24.99/£29.99

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
The Rancor replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
America must have pretty much every 2009 January set available to buy except Medieval Market Village! Come, on! Why does the world revolve around the USA TLG? On a sidenote, I really love the look of those monsters up close and personal. I'll buy plenty of the small set for those. (When I can actually buy the sets) -
How do you like my Christmasified avatar? Discrete, and yet the red stands out on the alien's bald head
-
Congratulations to the new winner Mooncheese! And also to revive the thread again in case someone hasn't checked the calendar yet!
-
I voted I don't really care, partly because I probably won't have the sets for ages anyway) A map's a map. The only possible problem with this one is I can't see any sea on it.
-
Wow. Ur lucky! We haven't got anything in the Uk, as of yet. Just so everyone knows, I don't think I'll buy either of these sets but I do like the sound of Summer rumours!
-
I can't remember exactly when because I wasn't really a looker or a member on this sight then. Sorry I bet someone will remember though, someone who likes Castle a lot. My favourite themes proabably rate Castle as third favourite.
-
Easy - they're already out! If you're talking about 2009 sets, then we first found out that there were... Kings Seige carriage (or something like that ) Drawbridge Defense Troll Fortress ... When a retailer told a member what he new about 2009 sets, about a month or two ago.
-
I just NEED some Pirates to spend Christmas present money on! (The money used for buying me presents, not what I get as cash) I suppose I've still got this week and next week to look in my local TRU for Lego sets. Early releases in the UK weren't out at this date last year. (I found some around the 15th of December in 2007) PLEASE TLG! Give us some Pirates so I can fill ye coffers with pure buried gold
-
Thanks KimT and ADHO15 Some surprising costs here... Not with the battlepacks -
-
I think I can understand what's going on here. "How can the American's complain when they've already got half the January Lego for 2009?" And the answer is, they can't... But they are lucky ! Tried the Rock Rocket again on the mini site... and failed to get above 3000 points as usual. TLG are adding quite a lot of polls to that site. Shame it doesn't ask anything mature about the products. Hope to see Power Miners before Christmas, if not, definately before the new year!
-
I'm not sure how this weighs out in Denmark, but in the Uk you proabably need a university diploma in design to attract any attention at all!
-
I ended up getting 3 because I thought the same too!
