You’re preaching to the choir here, I think 😜 I think the point is that, up until this year’s squirrels, we have been lacking in ‘everyday’ animals, which we might expect to have. Including, but not limited to, pigeons, crows, ducks, small birds and bunnies in brown etc.

Yeah - who knows? Remember how the first ‘official’ pictures of the pyroraptor didn’t have the stud on the back? Could be an issue with the image.

It’s hard to see any printing from the pics we have seen … the blue one appears to be totally blank. But I think we will just have to wait and see

Yeah, there’s a new ‘corn cob’ piece coming in City farm sets, wondering if that will be combined with new plant piece … -
Maybe the City advent calendar will just be 24 daily goats.

Of course. I was making the broader point about livestock. Them medieval minifigures sure weren’t vegan …

Given how often horses, pigs, cows, chickens and *cough* goats have turned up in previous castle sets … I would think they might show up again in this set.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
williejm replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, occurred to me that it’s kinda odd they didn’t do one, more stylised, mould that could have been recoloured for both. Especially since it’s hard to see the acorn hat being reused easily … -

It’s the existing vine part isn’t it? still good to see it available, it’s relatively rare. The SM sets also appear to feature a new colour (red) for the small bird. -
Ooh .. nice catch. I can’t work out if it’s a rendering issue - as the red bird looks to have an orange beak … I guess we will see. Red would be a welcome colour for the wee bird, we need some browns too! They recently messed up the Pyroraptor in official set images, so wouldn’t be beyond the pale to have messed the birds on these up.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Yeah, my want for an Xmansion is purely selfish rather than a sound marketing or business suggestion. So many Xmen characters we *neeeeeed* -
A pink Unikitty castle with minidolls, you say?
-
Oh, I assumed the polybag would use the *new* bigger baby raptor…
-
I think that’s down to a couple of things. First - marketing, in that making it as clear as possible will sell more DINOSAURS! Second, ‘dinosaurs’ is an evergreen Lego theme, but at the moment (for the last few years at least) that has been solely represented by Jurassic Park\World sets. So it may be about regaining some of the Lego branded consistency.

‘The U.K. is in quite an unfortunate location relative to available studs, so my solution was to merge northern England and Ireland into a single 1x2 tile and angle it down’ Have to admit I’m cringing in Scottish ;)

It’s so hard to tell with City and moulds, especially on animals. Seems quite like this new set of farm animals is introducing critters they will use routinely over time, many of which we have waited for for ages. I think the same is true with the squirrel, kittens & corncob. That said, we also had unique moulds like the bulldogs and retrievers that never showed up again and were only in a couple sets. -

They surveyed people and found that a lot of people assumed chocolate milk was from brown cows - that’s what he was alluding to. I’m not holding out hope but I do think the cow should get dual mould treatment for fleshy nose and udders -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I know they work, but they don’t always look great. In my experience a lot of minidoll hair pieces make minifigs look blocky and frumpy, whereas the opposite is never true - minifig hair works just fine on the minidolls and never looks out of proportion. -

Yeah that’s the challenge when you try and choose ‘at random’, you might actually be minimising your chances 🤪
