  1. I mean I can deffo see a pirate ship and a helicopter costume somehow appearing. And I think the food costumes still have a whole bunch of fruits and veggies to explore šŸ„¦šŸ„‘šŸšŸŽ … but I also don’t really want to accidentally will them into existence šŸ˜‚
  2. Indeed, but a red fox *could* be done with simply one orange(ish) coloured mould and some face printing - especially given the size of it. Whilst dual moulding might be nice for the white/orange colours, just imagine how expensive and complicated that mould would be! … what’s that you say? Less complicated than a red panda or a toucan which have come in cheap retail sets & CMF respectively? Well, yes, but they’re already telling us the white fox is somehow very complex and expensive so they have to keep going with that schtick… As an aside - though I have limited use for the dogs-with-vests per se, I have to say that was an excellent mould & splendid pupper. The Golden one with the Christmas jumper is especially great.
  3. I fear we must steel ourselves, as the three series run of ā€˜meh’ to us has probably raised our hopes a bit for Series 29 - when in fact at least half the slots will be yet more costumes and ā€˜kids doing a thing’.
  4. Which is still about four times as much as it should retail for. I don’t think it’s dual moulded. One piece that has been produced as both dual moulded and then ā€˜one colour’ is the Friends penguin, which turned up as an ice sculpture in a Lunar New Year set. That was pretty obvious in having a join in the moulds, even when supposed to be one colour, IIRC
  5. Hmm, they didn’t appear ever in any sets, just the one CMF. So do they count? Have you seen how expensive and rare they are on the after sales market? Almost half an Arctic fox!
  6. It’s actually really surprising how few ā€˜city’ animals we have. Squirrels are not that old, pigeons brand new, and we have rats. no swan, duck, fox, raccoon, hedgehog … Hey @lifeinplastic, it’s great that you love Lego animals, and we will pass your comments onto some nebulous team who don’t care!
  7. If Lego are listening and want to appease me personally, then a black raven, red fox and new beaver in CMF 29 would be the way to do it. Chuck in a puffin and I won’t complain ever again. Maybe.
  8. Like none of us have the fox in hand to know for sure, unless we cashed in one of our Faberge eggs.
  9. Yay *waves very small flag* just the six months to wait!
  10. Which explains the German Bricklink shops who have hundreds of them.
  11. And the quality *so high* that some of them cost the earth
  12. Don’t you dare try and make the Arctic foXXX a good news story.
  13. I am sad at our very slim pickings.
  14. Stop being greedy - enjoy your white clam!
  15. Bee & ladybird exist as printed tiles. Butterfly & spider as moulds. I’m on a peacock specific mission! can’t believe @lifeinplastic hasn’t mobilised for the Turkey costume though ;) Lizardman is the outlier costume to me, but I always saw that as more of a Godzilla homage than anything else. Dammit
  16. If you’re prepared to amalgamate llamalpaca, then all of those exist in either Friends, Duplo, or both. peacock doesn’t …
  17. I feel like they totally leant into this being obvious / crowd pleaser animals, with the possible exception of the peacock (though it was a shoo-in given the existence of that tail mould) and didn’t really take any risks, or include anything exciting. The peacock is also the only one that doesn’t have an actual Lego animal counterpart. Is that a cheeky hint that one will come soon?
  18. Yep. there’s also - dachshund - bulldog - French bulldog - shepherd is used for GSD, generic shepherd, and weirdly the Dalmatian print. (& now ubiquitous shepherd pup, used for wolf pup and Toto) - retriever dog with dual moulded vest & if you’re including wolf, then maybe also the fox mould?
  19. These things aren’t mutually exclusive. CMFs could be part of movie marketing _ providing small, grabbable, collectible toys, rather than only having movie minifigures in massive sets. There are plenty custom series idea out there showing just how it could look.
  20. But some so definitely do - like Encanto, and the recent Inside Out movie, or any of the Toy Storys
  21. I’m surprised that they haven’t yet down tie ins with specific Disney licences to have one single CMF for a movie. Perhaps they will revisit the Simpsons again. Or maybe give us a Smurf CMF alongside the IDEAs set …
  22. That’s my understanding too
  23. Lions are well known for roasting and eating turkeys too
  24. I mean, worse than the cat’s accessory?
