  1. Yeah they should ban kids from Lego shops tbqh
  2. Interestingly the logo on the torso of the ‘animal rescue’ character, who comes with the koala, is made up of three animal faces (in their Lego form): - koala - toucan - chameleon I know BAM figures can be one-offs, but that seems oddly specific. Would welcome toucan and chameleon making a return in BAM or elsewhere (especially if they get recolours)
  3. About time the koala showed up again! now…. Do the flamingo & mouse
  4. Would be really odd if one sided. On the other hand, being that size with complex shape & printing - if it ever shows up on Bricks & Pieces it will be priced astronomically
  5. It’s high time all the fish thrown in the Lego City trash decomposed away to just skeletons
  6. With the introduction of the new clownfish, which has eye printing and an anti stud on its base, the OG fish suddenly becomes out of date, and has to sit with the unprinted parrots at the back of the class. I guess it can still represent a dead fish, and now we have an even deader fish to complete that line up 💀 I think we have also quietly passed the baton on from CMF designers who were very clearly dog people, introducing new moulds of dogs (chihuahua, French bulldog, terrier, dachshund, Afghan hound) pretty routinely, to cat people - who are playing catch-up with some more diverse moggy moulds. Long overdue to have some variety in the kitties, I think. Definitely see the fish skeleton being a go-to in sets with trash cans / cats. I know a ton of marine biologists so I’m fine for spares of her 😜
  7. Pretty sure it’s a new cat mould with the cute witch, maybe sitting? clownfish is super cute, and fish skeleton is a nice surprise Unicorn in white, with what appears to be a pearl gold mane, and silver horn. ‘Chocolate’ dragon doesn’t appear to have any eye details which is a wee bit disappointing, but not a huge surprise
  8. You absolutely should contact customer services and say you’ve been ripped off - because you have! It’s not like the foxes were discontinued - get complaining!
  9. Yep And post Brexit the UK is stuffed for accessing European sellers cheaply. I understand that at least one of the German Legolands sells the arctic fox for a couple of Euros - which probably accounts for the cheapness and bulk of some European BL sellers. If the wolf did show up on Pick a Brick then the price would be extortionate - as it’d have to be, to compare with the fox which is less than half its size 🤷🏽‍♂️ Did you pay full price on Pick a Brick for your foxes @ Shiva?
  10. It’s halved in price but is still about 4x what it should cost. No one can seriously suggest that a small animal like that with one colour mould and basic printing is worth £5.57, let alone the £11+ they initially charged. (And it probably only halved in price because so many of us complained)
  11. Though, lest we forget, those three also came at a price - they were only available in €€€ sets, the wolf hasn’t showed up on Pick a Brick still (and was otherwise only available with a much-scalped chase CMF), and the arctic fox pricing on Pick a Brick is just insane. Lego knew these were much wanted and missing animals, yet still chose to make them out of reach for many fans. Pretty shoddy imho. (See also the goat in CMF / medieval village)
  12. I remember in those years how we were also told they would have more sets including multiple animals going forward, because they were popular and in demand. ho hum.
  13. I’m jus saying there’s no health & safety officers there
  14. They’ve just avoided them to keep your villlagers safe from poison berries
  15. I mean - I get that unprinted animals can be statues, ornaments, or architectural features …. although in my opinion they are lacking somewhat without moulded eyes etc. What I don’t get is how that works with a dual moulded monkey: which just seems not really useful for an animal or an ornament
  16. Really confused why these exist - especially the monkey. Assumed we knew the goat wasn’t dual moulded, but yes as you say, makes the Bricks & Pieces price all the more egregious and unjustifiable for a ‘simple’ animal.
  17. In my world we call them ‘salty grapes’ after my nephew described them this, upon his first encounter. 😜
  18. What are you confused about? @Roebuck shared a video someone made detailing all the variants of the old (OG) and current horses….? There are no new ones there
  19. Was thinking exactly this. Blue ones are especially welcome 🫐
  20. What colour are the frogs? Is that light nougat?
  21. Only the ones which were worse for wear! Much as I coveted the western sets at the time, I still can’t get my head around either the Native American’s printed noses or the horses’ weird printed eyes. So I’ve never sought them out.
  22. I mean that’s a lot for an extra 300%. But yeah, ok, sure.
  23. Update: I had every version of the new / current horse, save the white Carousel version. I also have all versions of the new foal. I have less variety of the older ones than I realised - mostly as I’m missing the Native American printed ones - but I also did get rid of a bunch when they mould was updated 😬 I do however have the excellent grey horse from the Mill Village Raid set: we so need an updated grey horse (and no the spider-foal doesn’t count!). I’m not massively a horse person, but I do appreciate the working breeds like plough horses and ponies. My biggest gripe with the horses is that the bridle etc is always printed on. I kinda wish the horses were ‘bare’ and the various equipment was a separate price, but I realise that’s probably a niche view.
  24. lol already out of date with the leaked slightly-different plain white horse! I need to go check my collection to see how many I have now though …
  25. Where in the heckin’ heck are the Series 29 pics? I need some good new LEGO animal news!
