  1. Context is everything. I’m pretty sure the CMF / BAM /QE Frenchies are all the same one … with allowances for small printing variances
  2. I do hope this list is real. Fantastic to get 6 new villains on the roster, a slew of new movies covered, and only two revisited characters!
  3. Hmm interesting. I think that, given it’s Disney, and given how they did the Simpsons’ animal sidekicks in series 2, we should expect special moulds for at least the Dalmatian and Dante - they are marketed characters and I really don’t think they will just throw in a random dog with printing. I think the owl could go a few ways but is most likely to reuse the existing mould from Elves / Disney Princess range. Also - all three come with ‘human’ figures that maybe don’t require a new head mould, so the new animal mould may be more justifiable
  4. Interesting to see Lego, in response to the A Frame video on Facebook, refer to there being ‘two moths and two butterflies’ in the set… seems a bit of an arbitrary distinction
  5. Lego have annoyingly released a video of the A Frame cabin featuring a black bear doing a cameo outside a window. No fair. Also, quite why they didn’t make the antlers on the stag separate, thereby giving us a defacto doe all along 🤷🏽‍♂️
  6. You really otter give up attempting the puns. maybe there’s a black bear INSIDE the cabin? Or a moose and three beavers playing cards.
  7. A Frame cabin ideas set box image has leaked. Typically blurry photo, but from what I can make out, comes with small red and small blue birds, dark orange squirrel, at least four printed butterflies, and seems to have the otter hiding up in the background too (unless it’s something new, but I doubt that).
  8. Obvs mine is better. yeah if it’s a core character I assume it gets a dedicated mould or two. My hope is for a chimp with gripping hands like the new monkeys, but that fits in that style. Please no ghost/zombie/mohawk/blue aberrations
  9. Info about the new ‘Dreamzz’ theme suggests it’s something like a Time Cruisers reboot and features a ‘chimpanzee’ … wonder if that will be a reuse, a new mould (hopefully useable!) or some sort of minifigure character?
  10. Thank you! That is perfectly clearly explained. And OF COURSE I have all the dolphins 🐬🐬 💩 I want more bird-diversity!
  11. I do think this might be the case. Also, having the new animals ‘in hand’ I can really see the new falcon mould being used as an emblem, such as on a Roman standard, as a better-sized ‘eagle’. @Aurore - is the blue bunny the same blue as hammerhead shark … or the recent owl? And can you confirm that the small bird in BAM is the same blue we already have?
  12. Thanks! I found some in a local Tesco on NYE
  13. Yeah but it’s melting, mate. No animals left.
  14. So, I see we now have a list of set names for City summer 2023. Obviously we also have the new falcon, koala, and puppy moulds coming imminently too. Given the list, the recent trends, and what we already have, I’ve been having a think about what we are likely to get animal-wise out of these sets. In recent years City sets have repeatedly introduced new ‘familiar’ animals. Mostly these have been dogs, but also kittens, squirrels, and now quite an abundance of the small bird too. In reality we could easily get something like a new dog mould, floofy cat mould, or the elusive crow or pigeon at *any* time. My guess is that we might see either a new cat or dog. If it’s a cat, I’d guess at a long haired or chunky ‘grumpy cat’ similar to the one introduced in Friends for 2023. If it’s a dog, my money is on a new ‘chonky’ mould for big hairy breeds like St Bernard /Bernese /Newfoundland … this could work in any standard City set as recognisable breeds, but would also be a nice fit with the Ski & Climbing set, assuming that is mountain based, rather than indoors. The new falcon could well also appear in that set. On the Arctic, I would definitely expect the ship set to come with at least one animal. I’m hopeful it’s a new orca, (as we know one was planned, and the general theme is for large predatory antagonist animals over less toothy/chompy/raaaaar ones) but I guess the other, safer, guess is the polar bear reappears with a new cub mould. I’d like to think that a seal might happen, would also expect the husky to feature, hopefully in a new colour or print. The two Ocean exploration sets are intriguing - they could both have a similar scope and maybe repeated animals (like sharks, anglerfish, octopus, turtle, stingray & dolphin). Past experience suggests we would get at least a couple of reasonably sized ocean critters with an ‘ocean exploration’ boat. I think these are likely to be repeats or recolours, but there’s an outside chance that something like the octopus gets an upgrade. In theory some new ocean animals could work with either the Arctic or Ocean sets (namely seal, orca or a new octopus), and those are the ones I think are most likely to show up as new moulds (if any new marine ones do). So my (albeit hopeful) predictions based on the summer sets are: - new chonky dog or cat - new orca - new (polar) bear cub and for reuses, new prints and colours, I would expect AT LEAST ONE SHARK, and some of polar bear, husky, anglerfish, stingray & octopus.
  15. Has anyone seen these in the wild in the U.K. yet?
  16. Actually thimk, given the recent trend for baby animals, that a polar bear cub is a pretty solid suggestion & probably the most likely new addition.
  17. It’s fine as long as you tell us what Arctic Lego animals you’d like ;)
  18. Er no. It’s both, or a killer whale please … Recent Arctic waves have been pretty generous. 2014 gave us the new polar bear and the husky, and 2018 gave us the mammoth and the sabretooth so let’s hope that 2023 gives us at least the ‘standard’ two new animals ;) 🐳🐙🦊🐺🦭
  19. There’s also a fox /wolf mould opportunity there … 🤞🏽
  20. Merry Christmas Jelle! Cute build x
  21. I’m sure you can get a cream for that. Video review shows two plant pieces and one koala - I think it’s safe to assume the koala is a separate piece
  22. They have already used that tone of blue for one of the owls, so it’s clearly just intended to be a ‘normal’ rabbit variant. Seems they are deliberately stretching the palette of animal colours lately.
  23. Actually think now it’s the same print as the existing tan one, but on a new colour - which works for me Is there also a chance that the blue bird is a new colour of blue to the existing one?
