  1. Funny how I’ve never seen a single person object to the existence of a Lego turban … 🙃
  2. Nice to have all the lads here telling everyone what representation matters. I too miss the old days when we all licked lead paint & huffed asbestos, without it doing us any harm. The rather excellent Ovofigures on Insta shared a great looking design incorporating a hijab a while back. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-mjLI2u37f/?igsh=MWhvbXU0azIzZnZreQ==
  3. *this* I also think it would look neat in Lego city & let the toy speak to wider audiences. For some reason I’m especially picturing the part in coral colour. I think in general, though seemingly more simplistic in hindsight, the ‘earlier’ animal costumes are taken for granted and not appreciated enough. Gorilla costume and Lizard man are way up there in my estimation
  4. Lizard costume guy was such an awesome figure! I was always surprised that they didn’t do more with the full length tail piece from the lizard man … would have liked to see it reused or with mould variants.
  5. I think they have to do F1 animals only this year
  6. * rolls another tumbleweed across the thread *
  7. Look, I think it’s fine to have as many licensed themes as possible, but they *really* need to make it a condition of any licence deal that they introduce multiple new animal moulds. We were set a high bar by the Prince of Persia, and slim pickings since. If you ask me, that’s where it all started going wrong … ah for the halcyon days when there was only one female minifigure per theme, and they were always a busty wench.
  8. Yeah I think it would end up being ‘bulky’ in practice. The keffiyeh was restricted to the Prince of Persia sets, which in retrospect served us well with the camel and ostrich too
  9. Something that I am increasingly surprised we haven’t already had introduced via the CMF line is a hijab headscarf. At this point it seems like a massive oversight when Lego has its stated intent of increasing diversity and representation, and in a world where we have so many visible ability differences already represented, as well as so many BIPOC coded hairpieces now. I do wonder if it’s an issue of practicality, in that it may be difficult to design one that fits around a minifig head - but it seems long overdue.
  10. Logic would suggest that they get spread around like the squirrels … but hey, this is Lego. Goats should be ten a penny … bunnies should be brown … *Channelling my inner Andie MacDowell *… is there a helicopter in that set? I hadn’t noticed.
  11. Why on earth are they not marketing it as ‘the pigeon tower’!?
  12. Off to visit Santa 🥳
  13. Surely we have all given up on that nonsense, given the state of *everything*?
  14. What. Still no arctic / wolf updates? ‘Sake!
  15. I mean, me neither - but they seem to be popular to everyone else 😂
  16. If nothing else, it’s about time that the CMF cave people had some offspring … couple of ‘cave kids’ CMFs, each with a baby mammoth or sabre-tooth …. ? We can dream
  17. Both of those could have stood recolours or reprints, plus a new baby mammoth obvs ;) I expect the moulds have long since gone to the great beyond though.
  18. The OG for the feral pigeon population are called ‘rock doves’ and live on coastal cliffs. That they have adapted so well for cities & towns is pretty remarkable. Makes them more resourceful than things like puffins & gannets for sure. Rats are also super smart, resilient & adaptable. It’s interesting that lots of humans have disdain for creatures that they have helped to spread and colonise the planet, and which do so well in their shadow.
  19. Not trying to be contrary, just interested in how a ‘wolf cub’ would differ substantially from the shepherd pup mould we have? I’ve three part-shepherd dogs at home, of varying sizes, and I legit don’t see much difference between a wolf cub and a shepherd type pup …
  20. In fact - have we ever had an Arctic wave that *didn’t* feature a polar bear?!
  21. I don’t quite know how the train is an ‘Arctic’ train without something tying it to the region. Wildlife would be the most obvious option - so maybe there’s a chance
  22. I’d like to see non-breed specific dogs, before a bunch of new pedigrees. Bring on the mutts! Newfy tho 😍
  23. Not everyone geeks in the same directions!
  24. Yeah - there’s no way they will produce another mould for the wolf now either (though I do think the current one should be one plate taller … then it would fit better against existing dogs, sheep, big cats and bears)
