  1. I kind of hope these new softer capes aren't permanently used in Star Wars sets. I get their purpose of allowing figures to sit down without creasing the cape, but I just personally like the look of the traditional fabric capes so much more. The softer ones sort of look like blankets draped over the figure.
  2. The exact same thing happened to me the other day, actually. Although I think the reason for the leftover minifigures at my Target is because they never put them out when they're released, so they end up trying to get rid of all of the old ones at once right before a new series comes out.
  3. Interesting how the Death Star Final Duel is the only summer 2015 set not on sale. I guess that means it's selling so well that they're confident people will continue to buy it at full price. The two TFA battle packs being on sale is pretty nice. I'm sure those will be out of stock within a day though.
  4. I hope the cowl and/or cape are also dark tan. The black doesn't really mix with the torso and legs well.
  5. That bridge set is definitely one of the best Superhero sets ever. It's got both amazing figures and a pretty good build! And a really fair price as well. I think I might still like the Airport set a bit more since it has more variety... but I'd say those two are the best Marvel sets yet. It makes me really excited for what's to come in the future. If you want the Blackbird, it's still available on Amazon for less than MSRP.
  6. I actually really like that figure and don't mind getting her, but it still feels weird to have her but not Goofy. I'd be interested to see if LEGO actually does try to push for three series in a year... although I feel like that'd be too much.
  7. I'm really glad we're getting Series 17. There should definitely always be at least one normal series per year. I was still hoping we'd get a Disney Series 2 mainly so we could get Goofy. It'd be a pretty big fail on LEGO's part if they released Daisy Duck but not Goofy...
  8. I like the smaller, more compact TIEs, so I'm happy with the new Vader's TIE Advanced. The TIE Advanced Prototype from last year is actually my favorite TIE, so I'm glad to see that Vader's is pretty similar to it.
  9. I think he looks pretty good... I don't really get the complaints about the figure. I do agree that he'd look better with black facial hair, but as others have said there's a chance he could have a double sided face (plus that would be a pretty clever play feature on LEGO's part).
  10. The AT-TE looks pretty good, but I agree that it should have had another minifigure or two (or Rex could have had his helmet at the very least). Unfortunately, I think it's the poorest priced set of the wave. I still like it overall though, and that rusted brown leg is super cool.
  11. I'm guessing Goofy won't be in the set since I still think they're saving him for Disney Series 2. However, variations on the current figures is nice and Tinkerbell is great as well. Licensed D2C sets have been pretty large so far this year (Ghostbusters HQ, Batcave) so I'm curious to see how big this will be.
  12. She doesn't come with her helmet in that set, unfortunately. So I'm really eager to track it down somewhere. I guess I'll just get one off Bricklink for a bit more.
  13. I want to get all three of the summer sets eventually. However, if we get more info on the LEGO Batman Movie sets before these ones come out then my interest might shift over to those.
  14. I think, other than the hair-goggle combo, none of these characters really need new molds, so I'd be fine if these were real. However, I do agree that they're probably placeholders because of the replicated parts (Han's pants, Sabine's head, Jek 14's head in a different skin tone). It's weird that LEGO put this out so early though. It gives me hope that they won't be as secretive with these sets as they were with the ones from The Force Awakens.
  15. They look pretty good. I'm mainly interested in them for the new flesh heads and newly colored hair pieces, but the figures themselves aren't bad either. Some of their smiles remind me of the faces of the old NBA figures though. Hopefully these won't be too expensive for everyone that doesn't live in Germany. I remember ordering the Team GB minifigures for a really fair price, so I'm hoping the same thing will happen with these.
  16. Since Talia, Ra's, and Batman are all apparently new figures, I doubt Damien will be new. As someone who never got the Steamroller I'm happy with this, but I can understand why people who already have him would be a little annoyed. Desert Batman definitely sounds like it would be similar to Knightmare Batman from Batman v Superman. But wouldn't that need a new mold for the cowl? I can't see them giving him that in a retailer exclusive set. Maybe it'll just loosely be based on that design.
  17. I wish Dengar on his speeder was its own set, because I love both of those. The actual ship and the other figure are sort of meh to me though, so I guess I'll just hope that Dengar's price on bricklink won't be too high.
  18. Does Bricks and Pieces not restock until its yearly hiatus? I was hoping to get that Sabine helmet but wasn't fast enough... now I'm worried they won't get it again until next year. Or they might just not restock that part again at all.
  19. It always sucks to see things like this happening. I myself have never had any notable quality control issues, but it seems to be an increasing issue as LEGO keeps growing as a company. But I have to admit, that trans-red ray gun is awesome. Look on the bright side, at least you own a piece that exists exclusively in that color (even if it's a prototype). Hopefully you'll be able to get replacement parts soon though!
  20. Wow... what a huge letdown. I had been holding back on some Star Wars purchases for May the 4th, but looking at that figure, I think I'll just get them in April for the Mr. Freeze promo. Even Hoth Han was a better May the 4th figure than this.
  21. It's the same for Sabine and her helmet from Star Wars, as well. This whole Iron Man debacle's disappointing since it really is pretty much the same figure. Marking it as a variant just because its printing's a bit lighter or darker could apply to almost any minifigure that's mass produced. Ah, well, I guess it's not too bad since the set's only $13 anyway.
  22. Huh, so the only new part about the figure's the torso. If the rest of the figures are similar to this one, then I definitely won't feel as bad about not being able to get this series. Still, for what it's worth, he's got a really nice torso print.
  23. I'm going to guess that the fourth set will be an extension of the Airport Battle, since it will almost certainly include Spider-Man. Maybe with a truck or something? Hopefully we'll see it soon now that Spider-Man's been officially revealed.
  24. The hangar bay, meeting room, tractor beam control room, detention cell, trash compactor, control room, and the chasm where Luke and Leia jump are all that I think really need to be there. And I have no doubt that it will be since I'm pretty sure it was all in the last Death Star. I could actually do without another mini Vader's TIE Advanced though, but I have a feeling they might do that or some mini TIE Fighters or something.
