  1. At least you HAVE Diagon Alley; I haven't even been able to get it yet; I crashed my car last week; all the funds for my Diagon Alley went to car repairs. Sigh. ~t7_c
  2. Quote from Brickset: Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, Jan 27 2011 4:36PM: > The Forbidden Forest recreates the scene when Hagrid is captured That is what the lady showing me told me. I have read the books, when first released, and I can't even remember the scene let alone who was involved! One thing I have just remembered is that the woman, whoever she was, had two-colour hair: mostly brown with lighter brown or blonde highlights round the front edges, which I think is a first for a minifig. Two toned hair. It is DEFNITELY Narcissa Malfoy.
  3. Well... in the LEGO sense, you can't really call it competition. Spongebob is televsion; Cars, PotC etc are movies. So there's no competition there... I assume if they made LEGO sets from Nick movies, or Disney tv shows, then there will be problems. ~t7_c
  4. Hmm. I don't know much about Spongebob; but I just searched for an image of Glove World. If it's a Systems set, and it looks anything like the picture I saw, I may just purchase it. If Heroic Heroes is any indication, I would probably just buy the minifigs, and not the set. ~t7_C
  5. I have a feeling that these could be the Battle for Hogwarts minifigs. Since Huw said theres' 4-5 figs in the set: Tan figure = Sprout The figure next to Sprout should be Neville. The other two are just Harry and Snape.
  6. Dark Tan McGonagall = Sprout New Student = Probably Neville Driver = Stan Shunpike or Ernie Prang Old Guy = maybe Sirius Adult Female = Narcissa
  7. 12-15 figs, half of them new.. so that's 7 new figs. I can already make a guess. We've seen Sprout, so that leaves 6. I'm guessing: Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy, Stan Shunpike. The last one I'm uncertain. ~t7_c
  8. Why are they bringing back Spongebob.. if they really wanted to do something with the Nickolodeon license, they should just make Ben 10 -- ACTUAL SETS, not action figures. ~t7_c
  9. Just looked at Brickset; they've already got a description of the Kingdoms sets in the second half of 2011!! "There are four new Kingdoms sets on the way of which two feature 'ordinary medieval village life', albeit with some marauding knights pillaging the place. The big news is that they feature new minifig-scale animals: chickens (in white and brown) and goats." CHICKENS! GOATS!
  10. Well... since it was made by the creative director at a "certain construction company", I assume he used molds that were never released. However, it wasn't until I saw the Elizabeth Swann figure that I realized he used a "to be released" mold. So he gave us a little "sneak peek" to what we had in store for us even before LEGO announced the PotC sets.
  11. well... TECHNICALLY, we were given a sneak preview of Elizabeth Swann WAY back in September 2010. Don't think anyone noticed. http://www.kylie.com/aphroditecompetition/matthew-denmark/?ref=nf
  12. Thanks for the pictures gwenju! Thank you! I LOVE YOU!
  13. Same.. I just missed them because of timezone differences. They were removed before I even knew they existed!!
  14. You can't post them; but maybe a link?
  15. Very good work! I like your tower design better than the one done by LEGO. ~t7_c
  16. Awesome! Nice use of the microfigs, and I like the round roof. Very good work! ~t7_c
  17. I pretty sure it's Sprout, based on the "shape" of the thing on her torso; plus, she's in DH2. Also, LEGO has made all the Heads of House except Sprout; they had no need to make Flitwick if they weren't planning to make Sprout.
  18. For all we know, the 2011 sets could be a "mix" of books as in 2010. Remember how tidbits from all 7 books show up in Hogwarts Castle? How you can't really pinpoint the Hogwarts Express to a single book because of all the minifigs in it? I have a feeling one of the new sets could be a "mix"; and Prof. Sprout will feel like she was randomly stuck into one of those sets.
  19. Sir Hyperion Fairfax Order of Merlin, First Class World Famous Dragon Keeper (Born 1975) Hyperion Fairfax was born in the Scottish Highlands, to father Dameron Fairfax, and veela mother Arielle Prideux. The veela blood flowing in his vains gave him dashing good looks, and the Fairfax family legacy in Gryffindor gave him the courage of a nemean lion. At a young age, Hyperion enjoyed taking to the air on his Cleansweep 7; and in his second year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, he joined the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, and eventually became star Chaser. It was here that he met Charlie Weasley (three years his senior), who introduced him to the world of dragons; the two became quick friends. After Hyperion graduated from Hogwarts, he was drafted into the British Quidditch Team Puddlemere United. However, his Quidditch days were short, as he found the career to be mundane and lackluster. Following his passion for flying and dangerous activity, Hyperion moved to Romania to work as a Dragon Keeper at the world famous dragon enclosure facility “Roaring Fires” with his old friend Charlie. The duo garnered great fame due to their skills as a dragon keeper to deal with the most horrendous of dragons. On a visit back home to Scotland, Hyperion saved the life of the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge from a rogue dragon roaming in the region. For this act of bravery, Hyperion was awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class. The dragon that Hyperion had subdued to save Minister Fudge’s life was, to everyone’s surprise, a new species native to Scotland that had never been discovered! Hyperion immediately moved his base back home to the Scottish Highlands and opened his own dragon facility “Dragonrage”, utilizing all his time and efforts to protect dragons, and begin studying the new pure-breed that he had discovered which he named the Scottish Shadowfax. The Shadowfax is a much smaller dragon, and surprisingly, can be tamed (though not easily). After taming the Shadowfax, Hyperion rode on its back and had it lead the way back to its den. There he found many more of the species. As such, dragon keepers from around the world flocked to Scotland to study and tame the new species, and Hyperion Fairfax became a renown name worldwide. 20. These are very good for first time work with clay and decals. I'm glad I was able to inspire you! One suggestion (though it will take a lot of practice); take a knife to some of the hairpieces (particularly the one for Preserved Killick), very carefully trim down so that it looks more refined and detailed. Always do this before doing any painting on the hairpieces; it will look LOADS better. ~t7_c
  21. Hello everyone! Here's the sixth installment for my Marvel Cinematic Universe Collectible Minifigure Series! It's a BIG installment this time. There is an upgrade made to the Mystique decals. The rest of the minifigs are 'blink and miss' characters from the movies (particularly X-Men: The Last Stand); plus a bunch of characters that I've re-imagined into movie versions. Kid Omega is the first 'double side' head I'ved ever made; while Havok and Jubilee appear in the official movies, they are never seen in uniform, so here, they are re-imagined into the uniforms from the films. Everything else was either made by me or modified LEGO pieces. Alright, let us begin; the sixth part in my Marvel Cinematic Universe Collectible Minifigure Series! Movies from this installment include: X-Men (2000), X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), and X-Men: First Class (2011). 48 - Kid Omega (Ken Leung) 49 - Arclight (Omahyra Mota) 50 - Spike (Lance Gibson) 51 - Psylocke (Mei Melançon) 52 - Jason Stryker (Michael Reid McKay) This design is based on his appearance in X-Men: The Official Game. 53 - Jubilee (Kea Wong) Jubilee appeared in X2 (2003), and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), but she was never shown in X-Men uniform, so here it is. 54 - Havok (Lucas Till) Havok is set to appear in X-Men: First Class (2011), here is a more modern look if he were ever to appear in the original film series. 55 - Quicksilver (Uncredited cameo in X-Men Origins: Wolverine) Quicksilver was a blink and miss character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), but I paused on the DVD to get the hair design; the uniform is based on Ultimate X-Men. 56 - Scarlet Witch Scarlet Witch's uniform design is based on her uniform in Ultimate X-Men. 57 - Polaris 58 - Chamber 59 - Forge 60 - Avalanche The version of Avalanche seen here is merely an 'aged' Avalanche from X-Men: Evolution (2000). 61 - Omega Red Omega Red design is based on both his counterparts in X-Men: Evolution (2000), and Ultimate X-Men. UPDATE 38 - Mystique (Rebecca Romijn) For this fig, I modified the decals to be more scaly; plus I created a back decal for her. Hope everyone enjoyed this new post! It's actually getting a lot tougher to create new minifigs; Marvel needs to release more promotional photographs of their upcoming movies for me to make more 'movie versions'. Comments appreciated! 22. Tinnmann's hat is Playmobil I believe.
  23. Mad-Eye Moody from the Harry Potter set #4767
  24. ooh. this is very good. But i think you can make it smaller though, since MODOK isn't very big; maybe minifig size/height. ~t7_c
  25. They exist, in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire sets (the one with the mermaid).
