  1. And more useful for anyone wanting them for use outside of HP. Double bonus!
  2. And they already have a torso for that ... :-)
  3. It was, one villain in one movie had a golden gun.
  4. I've not been in one for years, but it used to be the case - they didn't sell the previous LEGO HP ranges. Also they removed the witches and the vampires from CMF S2. I don't know if they sold S14.
  5. So you want a gold stud shooter or you don't???? Anyway, to do a golden gun in a James Bond set they would need to do a range of minifigures including villains, as the man with the golden gun is not James Bond, but Scaramanga. If you just want a golden gun, then this part: already comes in both pearl gold and metallic gold. Pearl gold is very cheap on BL. Well, you can see where the confusion came from.
  6. It is 200 per part, and I didn't think there was a limit on the number of different parts. Although I'm not sure as I don't think I have ever ordered more than 100 different parts at a time.
  7. The CMFs are made in China and they use a different source of ABS compared to Europe and Mexico. Some people feel it is lower quality, others not. However, I find the printing is often better quality than on figures made elsewhere as it is often slightly denser print so base colours don't show through as badly.
  8. I don't know when this statement first appeared, but it seems they were purposely not allowing new parts to be available online for six months after they launched. Although they were making mistakes as some parts were available before six months, but then many of those parts were licensed and shouldn't have been available anyway. Buying Novelty Parts As you might know, every year our designers invent many new pieces or release old pieces in new, exciting colours. Previously we couldn’t sell these novelty parts for the first six months after they launched, but we got so much feedback from our fans that we decided to change our guidelines. You can now buy novelty parts as soon as they become available, which means no more waiting to get your hands on these amazing new bricks. Isn’t that awesome?
  9. It is five years on from this comment, and interesting to see that LEGO have now decided to do something very similar to that hypothesised here by @Aanchir for the new Harry Potter figures. Slightly longer medium posable legs but keeping the torso the same. I guess we'll have to wait and see how they look when the figures are sitting. For posing for action, I think they will look fine. For sitting, I'm still not sure. But nice to see how old speculation has finally come to pass!
  10. IKEA Trofast are easily expandable and likely to be around for years. They look a bit childish though (but then they are kids storage). Drawers slide out easily for use. They aren't transparent but that is not a bad thing for lego parts anyway and you can use labels. They are a bit big, but you can use smaller boxes within a drawer.
  11. Site guidelines. Age: Eurobricks is a site intended for an adult audience, which for the purpose of these guidelines are people of around the age of 18 or greater. We reserve the right to ban anyone who does not meet that requirement. Posting that you are not an adult is a quick way to be banned. If you choose to ignore these guidelines and sign up anyway, it is not our responsibility if you are offended by what you read or see. It is not a good idea to complain things are too adult if you are under 13. James Bond movies are not adult movies, so if LEGO did want to make sets based on them, then is no more a problem with that license than any other license such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the Super Hero franchises, etc.
  12. Difficult to tell, but it does seem to go up onto the waist area at the front. I'd prefer they were printed, as it would mean complete short fleshie legs that could be wiped.
  13. In terms of sales, it might well be the other way around - that the suitcase set is redundant because of duplication in the CMF set.
  14. I don't really care how niche it is and don't want it to be anything, I just don't think it is that big a seller as some make out, especially the historical side of it. The blind bag Character Building Doctor Who figures sat on shelves for ages, and so did the 11 Doctor packs. In some places you can still pick them up for ~£20 for the 11 Doctors. I have no doubt they would sell better if they were LEGO, but I doubt they'd sell as well as other CMFs. As to exclusives, yes I am sure anything that has an "exclusive" badge on will sell well at any comic con.
  15. I'm not that impressed with the FB line up. They seem a bit of a waste of space in the CMF series given the Suitcase set and existing Dimensions minifigures too. Also Dobby is a downgrade on the last one. But Flitwick looks good, and will be useful for reusing the parts. Others are fine, but reusable parts for MOCs outside of HP (especially the torsos) are less obvious especially for the students. Not so bad for the teachers, although I'd like to get a better look at Dumbledore's robes. I like the (giant) rat too, although it seems to have an amputated tail and the size is obviously an issue. Biggest plus for me is the new design of short legs.
  16. If they are only made as exclusives for SDCC or similar then I'd say the opposite - that the company making them know they are niche and won't sell well worldwide / outside of a comic con. I know LEGO make exclusives (mainly SH and SW) for comic cons, and they sell well and are sought after and so on, but they have the difference that LEGO sells similar sets and minifigures outside of the comic con. Often the comic con versions are quite nerdy versions, with more general items from the license sold to the masses outside of the comic con. Selling out at a comic con doesn't tell you about likely sales outside of a comic con. Almost anything linked to a particular property will sell well if it is limited edition and sold over a short period of time to a confined bunch of geeks for that license.
  17. You'll know more once they are revealed. It will depend on accessories. Especially boys' (short) hair is difficult to differentiate, for example. If they have some boys with short hair and they all come with a wand, for example, they will be hard to feel for. As well as buying on ebay and bricklink, swapping is also an option through sites like swapfig.com.
  18. Why would they be confused over how to reveal them? They know how to reveal CMFs. They will reveal when they want to reveal.
  19. That is not quite right. Any property that entered through IDEAS is blocked forever, and any current themes are blocked while they are current. However, past themes that did not enter through IDEAS are allowed. "If a licensed property no longer appears on our list, and it didn’t enter the LEGO portfolio via LEGO Ideas, you’re welcome to submit product ideas based on it then."
  20. You've just posted German soldier decals in MCW, is that not adult themed? James Bond movies are not adult themes, any more than a car is. Most have been PG or PG-13 for USA, so maybe not suitable for pre-teens but fine for older children.
  21. Highly unlikely if it is HP branded.
  22. I think it was a branch of WHSmiths that put them out early.
  23. Three options for me: All colours in all sizes. All colours that match wheels with axle holes. All in black and all in dark and light bluish greys.
  24. You replied to a post that is now well over two years old and was factually correct at the time.
  25. It sure will be an interesting one. If they don't do the James Bond branding, it will fail to attract James Bond fans. If they do, it won't feel like real a Creator set.
