  1. is working on medieval field pieces.

  2. Looking forward to it As for myself, I'll see if I can get a field piece or two in for Ska in the next couple of days, and then build a ship for the GNAR... we will be travelling though, so I'm not sure if I will be able to enter in time
  3. Very nice build, Thomas of Tortuga The snow and the moat are great (although the moat does look a little shallow), and the wall, especially the part next to the gate and the stone cross-section, is awesome as well However, the flat roofs on the building on the wall does look a bit odd and impractical (the weight of the snow would probably make them cave in). That is just a minor point though, great job overall
  4. Awesome build, MassEditor! The swamp's landscape is great, and the dark green works excellently as water Nice job with the ship as well, the pics with the fog are especially awesome
  5. Thanks MassEditor, the house in the courtyard was my favorite part as well. The hat the first soldier has one was quite a pain as it kept falling off Thanks, offsetting buildings often helps a lot Thanks Kabel, it probably is Thanks Gabe, it was a lot of fun posing the soldiers . Sadly, as the pics were taken very close to noon it was not possible to use shade, I agree that it would have improved the pics a lot. Thanks for the UoP credits as well
  6. Great job, Kabel, as you say, it seems to be taking shape now Looks like you have your work cut out for you
  7. Thanks Kai Yea, I know what you are talking about. As you can see I put some bricks behind the windows, it seems like I didn't quiet cover one completely though Thanks Mrcp6d
  8. Right now Challenge II has just started, the HoM contest has just ended, the GNAR deadline is the end of the month, and Ska is running a LDD contest (besides the Battle of Wither Woods in the same topic). Hope that helps
  9. Nice builds, the rock-work and terrain are great on the second one and the skull is a good detail The tapestry on the first build is nice as well, however, if you are going to use base plates I would advise either covering them with a border or making sure they are all the same color and not distracting (more like they are on the second build). As it is they are a little difficult to spot and only mildly distracting because of the change in colors, so this is just a reminder to keep that in mind for future builds @HammerBro, it is from the old Knights Kingdom sets
  10. Thanks all! Thanks LV! Thanks, I was hoping it would be a bit more visible, the problem was the shadows from the direct sunlight, since I couldn't find anything to use as a shade Thanks Gunman, as I mentioned above, I would have preferred having some shade (like I usually do) Thanks SK, the windows were mostly inspired by the ones in the light blue house in the Medieval Market Village... and that wall; I had to wreck it about ten times (cause the first nine times I ran out of the pieces I use for the texturing ) Thanks HammerBro!
  11. Sorry for being a bit late about it, but here is my Stables Phase III: BTW, although Flickr still hasn't let me sign in, I thankfully found a loophole that let me upload the pics. @Ska, I don't know why it is working for some and not for others: Kai hasn't had any of the problems I have either
  12. I'd like to claim UoP credits for AoM Stables Phase III - To Horse! for: Architecture - advanced windows and window frames Military Science - fortifications and Anthropology - life in Mitgardia
  13. The moon shone brightly as we rode into the courtyard. Only a couple of hours before Sir Uridius Dratiphe had received a troubling message from the Eastern Guild of Avalonia. Consequently I was setting out for that guild as soon as possible. By midnight the order "To Horse!" had been issued to the few men at arms that were to accompany me to the border, Sir Uridius himself also coming with me for a little ways. Apparently the men at arms had been chosen so that they could have a bit more experience riding their horses. As I set out upon this perilous journey, I wonder what sort of adventures the guild of isles and forest, of elves and treehugging tightwearers, has in store for me. - Sir Douglass Winzer Here is pic of the courtyard without the horses: I would like to claim UoP credits for: Architecture - advanced windows and window frames Military Science - fortifications and Anthropology - life in Mitgardia C&C are welcome
  14. Sounds familiar I'll try to get the topic and pic up for my stables entry today if Flickr would just start working... it seems like they are seriously cracking down on Google users now
  15. Nice build, the roof and stain glass window on the church are very well done I like the cherries on the vines too, though it strike me that, ahem, the guards seem to be looking the wrong way
  16. Nice story and excellent build, MassEditor! As others have mentioned, great job on the siege engine and the cauldrons I like the book cases as well and all the black pieces (especially on the sides of the build) Keep it up
  17. Well, what did you expect BTW, you actually have the majority from every guild except Kaliphlin (there's something wrong with those guys )
  18. Ha, ha! Thanks Kabel Yea, that certainly was a pain, at least I got it in though
  19. Thanks Gideon! Yes, it does look fine on the sides as well; the only reason I didn't take pics of the sides was because the roofing didn't cover it
  20. Incoming We are? I must have missed that So without further ado, stables phase III: Thread, story, and better pics tomorrow
  21. Very nice builds, DG, though I obviously prefer the first one Great rock-work, the part that is really impressive though is how you topped it off The Kaliphlinian scene is good as well, but it is a little plain and the green shutters don't seem to quite fit in Awesome shot of Larsson BTW
  22. Good to hear that there are some builds coming Welcome (back?) to Mitgardia, Captain Donkey
  23. Okay, thanks for clarifying that
  24. I think the question was whether you meant before May 1st started or before it ended (in Hawaii, I guess)
