I'm finishing the new Song of ice and Fire (game of throne) volume actually, then, I'll move to Baxter "Destiny child" part II.

Received my first packages from bricklink, and cleaned all my old lego. Found back all my old minifigs (around 100 of them!), and all my parts. lot of yellow, thanks to the old set from the 80's:)

[MOC] Yet another Super Star Destroyer Executor...

Really impressive. Only thing that puzzle me a bit, is the fact that on the second engine sections (the one with two reactor), the smaller one fires right on the structure of the last reactors at the back of the ship. It's not a major flaw, it just striked me when I look, but it's a so tiny visual thing that it's of no importance considering what you did on the whole part, really:) Looking forward for the next pics. -
Very nice, and like you, when I saw the price for the stickers, I kinda decided to live without it:)

You can download on lego site the manual, but I would like to have it on paper, it's much easier that way, I might call them after I got all the parts. So far, I've swaped some places for other colors, and for some other shapes (the cone especially). I've received the first packages (long trip, 15000km:)), I've ordered around 4000 pieces, only the more expensive are not cover yet, and all the wegdes part. I'll try to finish that before christmas, but what trully saved me, cost wise, was changing some color for invisible stuff, or for some visibile stuff (like the lever, I ordered them in light gray insteal of the original color, saved around 100€ I think). Just by changing colors, I saved around 300€ I guess. I'll only have to buy the expensive dish (70€ or so), and...start building I hope.

Impressive, to say the least! that's a really nice thing to watch, full of details, I'm stunned. Please keep up with more pics:)

Rufus's 375 Yellow Castle Restoration Project

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, this bring up memories for sure. I was cleaning and browsing my old lego (got the boxes back yesterday), and I have all those parts, alongside the mini. Even the instruction are still ok. Damn, that was like...long ago. great thing you did there:) -
Welcome here Dansto:) and really nice things you did, uncummon for my newbee eyes!
-
considering the price, I've ordered 90 light gray lever, instead of the one from the UCS set, because the price difference is...huge. I hope the color won't be too different, but it cost me 11€, instead of more than 120€...
-
Trust me, I do:)))
-
seeing what you did with the snowspeeder, I'm indeed looking forward to the Xwing.
-
For some parts, I have changed the color, some parts are really too expensive, and are invisible, so. But I agree with you, used parts are not at all a failure.
-
Thanks for the review. that's definitely one set i'm writing down, so in the futur, I'll buy it. I like the shape of that ship, really.
-
really like the stand, it make the falcon shines, bravo:) Just a quick question though... I have ordered most of the "cheap" parts for the falcon, I've already decided to go for black lever instead of grey (it's way too costly), same for the parts that covers the reactor, I'll buy it in black instead of grey. Only expense i'm willing to do, is the satellite dish (60€ or so), but then... I don't know what to do with the dark bluish grey cone. 98 of them, at nearly 2€, I simple can't do it. I fail to see if those 98 cone are visible, if I take them in grey, to save money... anyone could tell me if all those 98 are truyl visible like nose in the middle of a face?:)

I just bought today my first pack, a small star wars naboo set (55€), I left it at work since I have time during lunch, so... plan to build something:)
-
I'd really like to see not the re released of some UCS sets, but a UCS set of high quality. Not sure what is left to be done, but I'm sure there's something out there worth "UCS'ing":)

I was kinda puzzled at first, beeing not use to see lego system used, but the shape is really really nice, and the way you did with the two sides of the wings, it seems like solar panel of some sort, it's really nice. Sound quite a challenge though to make the shape round with that.

Thanks man, I'm sorry I didn't double checked the FAQ really.. my fault here.

Thanks for a welcome=) And yes, I'm looking at all the new stuff, but there's so much to look at:) Just the MOC on SW is enough to bring a smile on my face, but I sense there's a whole world out there, to say the least
-
Definitely interested, but I can't seems to be able to send PM, so... sigh:)

Reunion island:( I will try to find the equivalent thing that you've linked in french, it should exist.
-
I have all my Citadel color paints, but the ideal would be to find a good grey color in spray can, wonder if that exist though
-
I must say I started collecting parts three days ago on bricklink. And really, thanks for the tips on the two black things on the back, I can't pay 120$ for the gray one, so the black one are going to do it for now, I'll try to spray a grey color to my best later:(

Greetings everyone My name is Stephane, i'm 38, and.. as i've learned, i'm an AFOL:) 20/25 years after, i'm coming back to the lego world, and I'm stunned by how things have changed, though the spirit is still the same. I wanted to join here and say hi, because slowly, I'm returning to building stuff, especially in the Star Wars universe, and after painting mini for years on Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, it's refreshing to do something else Steph
