  1. He's said before that fleshies look weird to him, he feels that yellow is closer to the LEGO spirit, and there's a wider variety of heads.
  2. They look great!
  3. I'd rather they didn't. Where else can I get a moulded plastic bigfig Red Hulk? Or a printed Odin, Winter Soldier, and Fantastic Four for less than $2 each?
  4. I'm not saying they aren't much better quality, but I just can't afford to drop fifty bucks on a single figure.
  5. I've probably removed and reattached hundreds of arms and I've never had a part crack.
  6. The GoTG figs look great but I still hate that Magneto.
  7. This is the head I would use for ASM2 Goblin:
  8. Price of a Chinese knockoff: $2 Price of one of those: $20-60 For example, I got the entire Fantastic Four for $5, which would cost about $100 if I went with the customisers' figs.
  9. The only companies doing Carnage right now are really bad quality. Decool is generally the best and they haven't done him yet. That's what they do. And they don't really hire customisers, but they have their own design guys and sometimes they steal customisers designs (but I don't buy the ones that are stolen). Before someone mentions the irony there, I know.
  10. My bad, it looked clean enough that I assumed it was an official piece.
  11. I think it looks really good, but I'm curious about the lines around the mouth. What are they supposed to be?
  12. Using real LEGO parts would be a lot more expensive for bootleg manufacturers. The whole point of them is that they're about $2 (USD) each. On top of the fact that it would be impossible for them to get the amount of parts they needed. Who's going to sell official minifig parts to them in bulk? LEGO? I doubt it. I don't really see them as a threat to the value of exclusive figures. I'm not buying bootlegs because they're as good as the real thing, I'm buying them because they're my only option. Any serious collector would probably be more willing to drop a few hundred bucks on a single figure.
  13. I found this on Flickr, I thought it was really clever. Sorry if it's been posted before. Just to be clear, this picture is from 'Evil Guppy' on Flickr, here's the link:
  14. That Puck is great!
  15. I was doing some browsing on eBay when I saw some Chinese knock-offs of lego Super Heroes figures. A lot of them were based on unreleased characters. Here are some of them: What do you guys think about knockoffs in general?
  16. Strange that they made a figure, seeing as Rhino only appears in the suit for a total of about 2 minutes in the movie.
  17. That Odin is genius! The eyepatch works so well!
  18. I like the studs showing. Looks more LEGO-y to me.
  19. The hair works well!
  20. THAT'S EVEN WORSE! At least a purist Winter Soldier is easy!
  21. I don't mind inaccuracies in sets at all, since you can modify them as much as you want. Minifigures though, you can't. The grey Drax is growing on me though.
  22. That's taken from the poster which is set at night. That's why he looks grey.
  23. He is definitely 100% green.
