Dragon Knights Attack Fantasy Castle
I Scream Clone replied to NewRight's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A clever idea well executed Newright Half the fun of LEGO is trying to photograph it in artistic ways as well. Bravo. -
This looks like a promising set up in the making Tpatcher. I would really like to look at some nice crisp photos from your camera to make out some of the finer details. Perhaps you could try shooting some photos with cardboard behind to remove the distractions from the background that tend to pull my eye away from the Castle layout. I may also suggest a little terrain or raised grass hills to give the surrounds a bit more pizazz. ANT please try to post constructive comments rather than one word posts.

Sir Dillion has been sent off to the front lines
I Scream Clone replied to Siegfried's topic in Forum Information and Help
It has been great to watch you progress from Regulator to Moderator in the History forum, you have always offered a cool head and an opinion on my MOC's that always makes me think, as well as try out new ideas. Good luck with real life stuff, and thanks also for all your help with the EBCCB. -
Nice review Kim, I am somewhat torn about cubedudes, but there is no denying the appeal of the Bounty hunters Well done on getting a limited edition collectable.

REVIEW: LEGO Harry Potter 4842 Sveltewarts Hogwarts
I Scream Clone replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well done, though I think my son will be just as jealous as me for missing out on this beauty IRBrick. Nice name btw Liking the use of the angled walls turned inside out as well. -

As Svelte mentioned the City Transport is a TRU Exclusive, not a S@H exclusive so it will be arriving shortly. The S@H Exclusives, numbered 10XXX are exclusive to S@H for a period of 6 months before they are allowed to be sold by other retailers. This is the same in the US, so the choice is to order them from S@H or wait at least 6 months till they are possibly picked up by retailers. Sets like 10200 didn't even show up in Aus shops from memory, so if its something you really want like the Christmas house you could consider buying from S@H rather than being disappointed. Cheers. EDIT: Woot! My box of Series 2 Minifigures arrived today via Bricklink and worked out at less than $3.00 a figure -
I am liking the quaintness of the Hog's Head Matn, even though its a two story building in the novels (Though I think you mentioned why its only one story in the other MOC thread) Some cool goats and you have managed to make me like plane boring baseplates as well with the way you have dressed it up Perhaps if you could remove one of the window panes from the boarded up one and leave it lying in front of the wall below the window? Well done and I am on tenterhooks waiting for the rest of the builds.

Thanks, the tree you are referring to is the world famous, ultra rare Cypress tree

Trevor Van Aalst has pictures of a newly opened Castle Advent Calendar on his Flickr. Here are some highlights. Cheers ISC.

Well done on a nice arena Thrash. It was a great idea to allow people to interact with your display as well. My guess is if you had the time you would print out a simple sheet of rules or make a simplified battle plan for people to use. Love the pit, the angles involved and the feel of the caverns and caged areas is great too. Well done.

Great Western scene Jonas. I really like the way the Saloon walls look, and the tension of the shootout is great, you can even catch a peek at the guys hiding inside. You recreation of the movie is fairly faithful, though as others have mentioned the use of gear levers on the tower is distracting when some tiles laid diagonally may have been better etc. Even though the train is accurate to the movie colour scheme, the colours are pretty garish to me, the green, yellow and red don't work well in my opinion. Great narration of the story as well and a very good effort for a first western MOC. Cheers ISC.

A really nice Vignette. I like the window and telescope design and the floating chap is done quite well. I think oo7 is on to something with a headlight framework to fix the 1/2 stud gap as well.

My Local TRU (Wollongong) is hopeless. They apparently have an open order for Series 1. Staff told me to ring each friday to see if they get any in, after trying three weeks in a row I don't hold out much hope for restocking. -
To see this in real life just blew my mind Polish Guy! It was cool to hang out at Brickworld and for you to contribute the sweet blacksmith for our Western display. Modulex On!

Survey: New parts and new colors
I Scream Clone replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As far as new colours go, I would love to see; Cream (perfect blend with the new Nougat bricks for some nice Modular buildings) Uses are many and varied for a colour such as cream. -

Dont stress it too much, it will just turn yellow anyway. -
Thanks, I thought the teenagers would be happy to picnic anywhere where they could make out and a toxic pool seemed like a great spot! I ordered the figures from Bricklink, German store I think from memory. I wasn't about to buy three of the large Atlantis sets

A really nice colour scheme Matn, should fit in quiet nicely with a full Hogsmeade layout Love the homely quaint feel it gives off, well done.
-
Thanks for taking the time to poor over the details I snuck into the whole MOC. Yes it is the trans clear curved window piece from Town Plan. Sinister tentacles on!
-
A really nice Mustafar MOC CCXD, have you considered adding some background to it, either in real bricks or photoshopped? A nice pit of fiery lava would just seal the deal for me. Well done on all the greebling as well. I agree that the hoods should probably be swapped for hair.

Thanks a lot guys, I had a great time trying Steampunk and will probably have a crack again soon. Next up though something a little different (but not too much)

The Collector Unfortunately young Kathleen has stumbled upon the hidden sanctum of Ichabod Salacious Covington III! Witness the terror of the Collector and his anomalies! Professor Covington III had often been known amongst high society as somewhat of an eccentric collector, but none truly knew his deepest secrets. He had spent many years making sure he was first to recover ancient artifacts and unknown alien species before the world at large came to realise of their existence. Is he a savior of modern man? Or just a madman? Ably assisted by his faithful servants Nigel Galoshes and Hymie, the alien-rhino hybrid from places unknown. They have worked together gathering exotic species. Professor Covington III is most proud of his attempts at creating a workforce out of the strange squid-like beings he has termed Squidpunk. Look on if you dare..... Lots more on my Flickr and MOCPages Cheers ISC.

Would someone know if Barnes and Noble are still doing the promo? The Falling Water set looks quite nice. What is the code btw? -
Wow, could have used 10 choices in each category. When I love Sand green, dark tan, tan and dark brown it is difficult to pick only five. Cheese, tiles, bricks, clips, dark orange tree pieces, its all good!
