  1. My guess would be a gray minifigure wouldn't jump out of the box as far as bright coloured Spacemen would. A kid would most likely be looking for a bright yellow or red spaceman than the more realistic gray one.
  2. Thanks all for the nice comments guys and gals. Glad I could bring a little scariness into your LEGO day
  3. Infernal Equinox I have been working on this MOC to coincide with the Vernal Equinox on the 23rd of September and my promotion to History Regulator, however time and real life can conspire to a deadline, suffice to say I had some bikinis, witch hats and tentacles that I had been dying to use, and really wanted to have a crack at Stonehenge as there seems to be very few ones out there. Featuring the Sisterhood of the Hidden Mushroom as they attempt to summon their Overlord Demon from some dimension via a human sacrifice (Lets turn the sexist tables around on this one!) Don't forget the usual livestock mutilations that seem to accompany demon-summoning and watch out for the children! Pics are links to Hi-res shots. Daylight shot. Insert crazy mushroom chant here. So there you go, hope you like my little dark Castle creation. More pics on Flickr and later when MOCPages is working. Cheers, ISC.
  4. Awesome sale there Clone-trooper! I think I will grab a TS3 train for sure. Cheers. EDIT: and sorted, my son will be stoked at Christmas!
  5. Bravo good sir. I can honestly say this is one of my most looked forward to sets in a long time, not just for the great colour selection and parts, but as mentioned Ginny and the other figures really are something special. Thanks for a great review filled with good quips and beautiful pictures. This will get em in their droves
  6. Oh my! This is so creative and cool Sieggo, and yes I can see you Ride Hard or burn the Universe!
  7. ...but but its a Sand Green wet dream! Scoop em up I say, these are two of the most beautiful LEGO sets out there.
  8. This is a beautiful creation, I really love the effect of the cheese windows
  9. I am very much liking this WIP Jipay. As Sieggy mentioned the outside rock walls are superb! Loving the statues and the 45 degree angled tiles look great on the walls. Surely you don't get light blue 1x1 tiles from PAB? Looking forward to the rest of this project.
  10. Just get it 20% off at Myer or Target. $160Aus seems ok for this set. Otherwise Barnes and Noble will take credit card. www.bn.com I can order a Slave 1 for $93 US = $100 Aus at the moment without adding anything else into the order.
  11. Thanks for the detailed review KristofBD, lots to like about this set, particularly from my point of view, as I don't own any HP sets. Thanks for taking the time to review this beauty TLG has gone for a broader set appeal I guess, as Slughorn was only in Hagrid's Hut once, as opposed to Harry and crew who are in the hut pretty much every movie.
  12. Come on into the Licensed Forum and take a look at the lovely Hagrid's Hut Review by KristofBD. Eurobricks Member KristofBD has done a great job of showcasing this lovely set including some videos as well. I for one can't wait for this set!
  13. Happy Birthday LasseD, have a good one mate.
  14. Perhaps four brick walls made with these on each end, . Then you will still have studs on the end of the roof, and by angling the roof sections will still line up. worth a try. Kind of like this. Cheers ISC.
  15. Take a look through the catalogue section of Bricklink which you can search for set inventories or parts by name or set/part number. I see clips, levers, tiles, battle droid torso, round plates, cheese etc.
  16. A very nice creation I think that for the most part it is great as is, perhaps as mentioned, a smoother roof would look better, but otherwise it is really nice.
  17. fenris, your photography skills are always welcome here in the History Forum and I encourage others who have a talent for a fine shot to post here. Sometimes a small idea doesn't need a thread of its own, so by all means dazzle us with your location/posing/creativity in this thread guys and gals. I recently succumbed to the lure of a DSLR so will have a crack too as time permits.
  18. Just beautiful work all round Penguin. I love how the new castle walls have been integrated, and the icicles are such a lovely touch. Keep up the great MOCing. Oh and Frontpagged as well
  19. Come on in out of the cold, The Penguin is serving up a nice warm helping of MOC brilliance over in the History forum. Look around and you will find a high quality of Castle MOCs to keep you amused for hours. Winter Feast So head on in and pull up a chair if you dare
  20. Thankd def, Ratshot, wout and of course Oky for the disturbing picture We stayed just near Circular Quay overnight and had a nice dinner down Darling Harbour, had breakfast at the Quay opposite the Hungry Jacks and watched the Sydney marathon runners sweat it out too Even picked up the Wampa set and Plo Koons fighter. I almost succumbed to a Slave 1 as well, but I have 6209.
  21. My intention was not to criticise you merely get you to be a little clearer in what you are typing. I have read all of Chris's threads and seen the collapsing tower before. Please do not insult a staff member in future in your replies. Words like "if you looked" and "don't get all jumpy" are insulting. I am merely trying to help out builders to improve their skills by asking members to critique creations creatively. This is an adult site after all and I volunteer my time to keep the History forum a welcome place where Castle fans are happy to mingle and show off their creations.
  22. Well done on a massive build mate Love the stairs, the imposing nature of the church and the many fancy details on the walls. It must be tricky to photograph something this big.
  23. Chris it's great to see you venture into Castle themed MOC's, I have enjoyed reading through this series and had a good laugh too. Perhaps some constructive criticism , rather than just crticism would be more beneficial to Chris.
  24. Lets try and stay on topic guys. If you would like to show off your figures then make a topic detailing your custom figures. Other members are looking for any new information on Harry Potter in this thread. Cheers ISC.
