I know I already commented on Flickr, but this is outstanding work. The AT-ST is really well designed and the vignette just works so well. I encourage others to check out MB's other work on Flickr.

Happy Birthday Blackmoor! Hope you have a great birthday mate.

Well suck my boomstick! If it isn't Duke Nukem. Great job on this Omi, instantly recognisable.

Just amazing Hippotam, So many lovely details to poor over. I really like the clock faces and the brown wall design. How did you achieve the clock face? Is it a decal onto a round tile?

Its a good idea to post what you have for trade, and perhaps what you are looking to pay for figures as well. Good luck.

Whilst Diesel and the others attempt to slay the foul demon, I shall flash my bits, err I mean use the flash on the camera to temporarily distract the demon with my pasty yellow bits. Strikes a heroic pose, "Check this out girls"

Thanks, I designed the space to fit the carts perfectly, they roll quite nicely along. I tried to incorporate some veins of gold to keep the miners keen. The waterfall came together well, i just had to remember to include it on the side as i built upwards on each module. The crossbeams are a snug fit, and have a bar inside to hold the ends together. Cheers Mark, glad you like the rock work. Tried to mix it up including the upside down section, though this came about from loads of slopes and no inverted slopes left Those grey frogs were crying out for use in a dark environment. ...and who doesn't like studs in all directions. Cheers guys. Josh.

Cheers for all the nice comments guys At one stage I considered making it an outside build just to give the ground some more colour, however went for the more historical underground approach. I do like the hilarity of the mountain being mined to almost nothing. I wanted to show off the scaffolding technique i came up with to enable the quick movement of gold up to the higher levels. Also a great way of bringing the carts back to the top of the track. Hey, Mario can't be wrong. Exactly, you got my idea perfectly, all the other mines we see tend to be squat, I wanted a vertically designed mine to show off other levels of detail. I was toying with using black cardboard for darkened backgrounds, and may yet try in future. I still need to track that set down one day. Glad you enjoyed the wildlife of Tombclone.

Yay, fresh meat, I mean a volunteer! Yes lets try in vain to lure this demon towards the spikes. If that doesn't work perhaps the flash on my camera can scare it away?
-
Mine? Mine! Mine. Sometimes you have to head underground in Tombclone to find the gold. Come see how the locals make their way through these hard times with the hopes of striking it rich one way or another. (All pics are links to Hi Res images ) They's got our gold! Strange blind grey frogs and magic mushrooms are the only wildlife in these parts. Ya idgit! Ya dun lit tha dynamite! Some additional pics on Flickr. Full set on MOCPages. Cheers and thanks for looking. ISC.

A fitting tribute and addition to the Vic Viper category. The orange and black work nicely and the pilot looks great. Great stuff.

Oh that could have been me. Looking around embarrassed spying an unconcious DJ. Oh I guess it wasn't me after all. I support the internal square technique, hopefully it is rewarded by the voice in the sky.

A nice review of my favourite lump of brown I got this for all the brown, tan and dark orange goodness, not to mention the figs. Those great Jawa torso's get used a lot in my Western towns, and the heads are sweet. Congrats on graduating to a Teacher as well Walter.

Hi fallenangel, as others have mentioned there is not a lot of point posting on a 4 year old thread, we understand that mistakes happen from time to time and are not being nasty to you, however it is unlikely the MOC is still built, so your comments may fall on deaf ears. I noticed Lord Amunra hasn't posted since Dec09 and before that Aug09, so they may not reply to you. I agree this is a great looking vessel, but if members can be careful in future bumping topics that are this old, as it detracts from what current posting members would like to discuss and showcase. Cheers ISC.

Creature from the Black Lagoon Vignette
I Scream Clone replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow Brickster, way to set the mood. A great creation, I love the weedsand creature as well as the photoshopping to really lift the whole scene into movie poster form. Could this be the start of a Brickster Lego classic movie poster series?
