What a sweet set DJ! Great review explaining all the nice bricks and features too. The figures are cool especially the maidens hair piece/hat thingy. This set would slot nicely into the Community build with some tweaking too. Now maybe I will hunt this one down....

What a great review for a great set! Bravo Little pricey for my likes but nice to sit and stare at.

Hi Whitefang, I like what you have done with a limited amount and colour of bricks at your disposal. Certainly a lot of people for an Abandoned Outpost Once you get past the palette it is a nice scene with plenty to offer. Cheers

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
I Scream Clone replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hi LasseD, I love the detailing on the wall, though im not sure if others can replicate it. It is showing others how to adapt new techniques, which is the whole idea of this community build! Im happy for you to go detailed and surprise us with what comes out! As for roofing standards, we probably don't need one as all buildings are individualistic, so they should have unique roofing too. -
We have no time to stand and stare...
I Scream Clone replied to SlyOwl's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I love the scale of this piece SlyOwl, You have really presented yet another brilliant MOC. The figures are soooo cute too! I only have one gripe/constructive criticism, the roof, whilst looking cool made from flippers, is just way to big for the mini nature of the rest of the build. Perhaps less steepness to the design might aid in the final wash up? Great work otherwise -
Nice work Newright! You can feel the vertigo setting in especially on that second pic, well done! A Crocodile def would have added to it, but you can only use what you have. Maybe some 1 x 1 clear round plates in the water to show the splash. Like this There, nothing like a little shameless self promotion

7621 Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb Set Name: Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb Year of release: 2008 Set Number: #7621 Pieces: 263 Minifigures: 3 Price: 19.99 US/17.99 UK Brickset Bricklink Available through S@H Onto the Review! Here is a picture of the box front and back. Here is a picture of the instruction booklet. Featuring the same art as the box. A random picture detailing the inside of yet another beautiful instruction manual. The parts came in five sealed bags and a DSS (dreaded sticker sheet, mine had a nice crease through one of the bigger plate stickers) Some really nice parts for my collection include the tan pieces, dark tan tiles and plates, 10 snakes, Marian, and a normal faced skeleton. I guess my main reason for buying this was to boost my tan collection. Unleash the chaos The build This was a really nice build, of course nothing too complex but some great mechanisms like the falling walls and statues gave it real playability. Early stages Side on shot Almost there The Ark of the Covenant in foreground. Complete front view The red balls on the side of the statues pull out to cause both statues to topple over and knock the walls over. One reveals a long dead person! Snake basket The basket has a flick switch on the back of the temple shown in the second picture (Red slope brick), which causes the snakes to topple out onto the Ark of the Covenant. Spares Playability: 9/10 With all the falling pieces and snakes it rocks! Pricing: 9/10 Nicely priced in Australia, I got it for $30, S@H is $35 Design: 9/10 Beautiful design which reminds me a lot of the movie, they really did their homework on this set. Overall: 9/10 Overall I was happy to purchase this set. It comes with a lot of cool pieces, which for me was part of the draw card as I am just starting to collect again. The playability is really cool too. I would recommend it to any Lego enthusiast, not just Indiana Jones fans. Bonus Lets make the best of a bad situation, Snakes and Ladders anyone? Thanks you all for looking, there are some more pics of this at my Photobucket

Nice work Thrash, That makes a lot of sense to have double supports and single on each end. The catwalk can easily be 4 wide if you use this brick every second 2 stud space just underneath the catwalk. This would work best under every peak. Im on holidays for the next 4 days, though I might check in one more time today. -
Sounds like a good weekend, sadly I wont be able to make it down this year, as the family is on 1 wage. Maybe next year. Cheers ISC

Honestly, you people keep finding questions that need answering Go for what ever grey you want, be it old or new light with dark highlights. It will still look like a castle wall. Could you imagine a Yellow Castle IRL Also, Roofing is to be in Black unless you have a damned good reason Cheers -

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
I Scream Clone replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Don't we all... Must resist the urge to buy lots with better half around, I guess the smaller sets are easier to pick up now and then, less conspicuous. On another note, I had to sign up for DJ's catalogue, as when they have sales they are usually 25% and they seem to get all the bigger exclusive sets. -

Hi all, I forgot to answer KimT's Question about the wall. It should be predominately Light Bley with some dark bley features. Cheers. I will be away for 4 days next week starting monday, though it seems like all major questions have been answered, so keep enjoying the build people. -

I Scream Clone replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Licensed
Dont let me stop you, Eurobricks loves multiple reviews, that way we all learn something Im even going to get around to doing a DS 10188 review even though Dunamis and Mutley have already, now thats a tough group to follow. -
Hi fellow Eurobrickers, I have updated my entry and would appreciate any feedback. The older photos can still be seen in the link for the first pic. Also, If a Moderator could let me know whether the background is allowed, and if the palm leaves are overhanging too much? That would be great. Cheers ISC

Thanks KimT, It has been a challenge to get it all organised, but thouroughly enjoyable once you see the beautiful creations like Sandy's So you are going to build now? What would you like to try? I thought you were holding off until PtV was finished? You can use stackable plates, its not like we will join the up any time soon. You just keep doing your thing and let the others worry about the outer wall Castle Keep Mistress Nice start on the layout, I especially like how the dining room is directly above the kitchen, as often the wait staff were never even seen, sending food up via dumb waiters, which would be a great inclusion too. -
Team Beta Community Build MOC's
I Scream Clone replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Sandy, that is simply breathtaking! Capt Green Hair was right, Go Team Beta, best team ever (well there is only two so far ) Im most impressed with the majesty of the tower, Rotta looks perfect, the telescope is great. the moving bookcase with wand is great. The modular aspect works perfectly. Good to see a nice hallway, staircase etc. Well Done! This is exactly why I wanted to do the Community build, as I feel it can bring out the best in our talented builders -

Final, and I repeat final wall design is up, you have all spoken and I have listened. Specs are located in the first post. Please if you are building a section along the wall of the castle include this in your build. You may add features to the wall like alcoves, windows etc so we can all see some creativeness but the dimensions are final. Though I sound grumpy, I merely wanted to put this to rest so we can clear up any confusion and get onto the fun part of building. Cheers ISC. -
20004 Indiana Jones Brickmaster Exclusive Review Set Name: Brickmaster Indiana Jones Year of release: 2008 Set Number: #20004 Pieces: 83 Minifigures: 1 Price: 8.99 US Brickset Bricklink Available through Brickmaster Onto the Review! Here is a picture of the bag front and back. Here is a picture of the instruction booklet. A picture detailing the inside of the instruction manual. The parts came in one sealed bag containing the smaller parts (pic 1) and the rest were loose (pic 2) Some really nice parts for my collection include the dark green tiles and panels, some nice tyres, and the reddish brown headlights (12 of them) The build Though speedwise not a surprising build, there are a lot of great design points like using the headlights to fix the mudguards to the jeep. Little help please! Indy showing why you build the minifig first. Almost there Complete front view did someone say spare bricks? Complete rear view Playability: 7/10 Well it does drive around so that counts Pricing: 9/10 Hey its exclusive, cant complain too much Design: 10/10 Beautiful design. Overall: 8.6/10 Overall I was happy to purchase this set. I think it is a great little set with an iconic character recognizable worldwide, though I guess the exclusiveness adds to its appeal. Either way I would have purchased it, adn hope others get the chance to own a cool set. Bonus and the Attack of the Clones Cody's Indy: "Cmon guys!, I just got here polished! You're are worse than a pack of monkeys!" Thanks you all for looking, there are some more pics of this at my Photobucket

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread

Alright I will keep an eye out for any wall suggestions, and then knock up the final wall version for all to see tonight. Give or take 8 hours I guess with all the different timezones to take into account. Version 4 will do for now Thrash. I will put it into the Alpha and Beta topics. -

With the massive interest in this build, it was bound to get confusing. In an effort I will delete lists from the Alpha and Beta groups. I appreciate the redesign of the list Thrash, but feel I should be in charge of it, and as such from now on the only list for reference purposes will be in the first post of this topic. To be honest I was getting sick of editing three topics all the time. As this is quickly turning into a walled city, I would like thoughts on the wall design from you guys, as there is some conjecture on what I have designed, do we just want to skip the wall for the time being and merely build our structures first, or do you have alternate suggestions for the wall. Say 12 high, technic pins at 1, 6, and 11. Catwalk only 3 wide, base 4 wide with slopes incl built right on the end of the baseplate to remove any confusion Sandy as Stash said, more than one person can build the selected item if they have there heart set on it. Cheers All. Unwieldy topic on! Guss, what was the point of this post? People want to build so they get put into one of two groups and start building. If you want to build say the word and you are in.
