Cant go crazy with the leaves, though maybe I will snap up some palm leaves if I buy some light blue plates too :) not sure what other colours go well with tan, maybe the pearl gold colour? The bones are meant to represent waves washing in. As for ropes versus chains I opted for ropes as Pirates have those readily available, or they could even be vines from the nearby trees. Iris lives! Thanks mate for the nice words, i agree there could be some more posing and im toying with the idea of half burying the soldier, though this will take more space on the beach. Thanks, I dont own any light blue plates either, my collection is quite limited so far as I have only returned to Lego last year after 20 years away. Whoooooaaaaaa! That is amazing, stupendous etc. So many great elements going on in one great set. I cant believe the price is only 149 Aus, thats the same price as the 7094 and comes with 700 more pieces :geek: . Im almost contemplating getting 2 of this set, its just beautiful. but three more months, man.... Bring on January! Well the exclusives are always kept more secret than the normal sets as shops dont get to order them in and leak the pics.

Welcome Santhor! Im sure you will enjoy the EBRP as well as the Castle creations, oh and of course all the other themes on offer. Sorry im a little biased towards Castle Boney Party you really have to read the silmarillion, its a great book for the whole history of tolkiens world, mind you I read it about 20 years ago when I had the spare time

I really like the Tower Kim, though i think the entrance needs to be at least one brick higher to allow the figs in, preferably two to make the entrance more impressive. Keep on building!

There was talk that the calendar in particular is aimed at countries where advents are popular. As for other themes and hard to find sets, im sure TLC has a whole market research dept that determines the best location to sell particular themes. As nice as it would be to find Avatar, Spongebob etc in all shops, its just not realistic to sell all products in all shops around the world as the production costs would increase and they would not be targeting specific audiences. Hope thats a start

Those sort of things really make you cry, when you put all that work in and then have to fix it all up! Though sometimes it can allow you to make changes for the better.

Nice work Strawberry! I really like the tiles on top of the blue base plate, gives the stream a real 'flow'. I find the bridge to be a little dainty for the MOC however a larger one would detract from the overall creation due to the impact it would have. Im finding the photos a little too white, is this from the editing software? I like the figs, though a shot without hats might show their faces a little clearer. Dont get me wrong, I really like the overall creation, just trying to get a handle on some small features. I also agree with Jim and think maybe a curved roof would be better, maybe building up tiles to give it a curved appearance. Thanks for sharing!

Cracked the seal on my Death Star 10188 and built everything in the Castle Advent Calendar. Such cool accessories in the calendar I might add, well worth the purchase price Now I need to get sorting on the DS, and clear some space on the dining room table away from busy little hands

I bought it recently on sale for $68 AUS which I was much happier paying than $99 AUS. It was a very barren ship and at first I was excited about having ship bases, but now I will just try and make my own I looked at it as a parts pack, as I was happy to get a knight, dwarf, 6 orcs and kinda happy about a troll and dragon, though I wish the troll could sit down I was also happy to get some cage pieces and dark brown bricks and small boats. So though I only kept it built for a short while, it did look impressive to me as my first ship purchase, though its now parted out for my MOCs and probably wont be built again.
