  1. Thanks again for all the nice comments! Well with the piece count it may be a tad expensive, but thats waht dreams are for LOL, thanks for the comments and linking my review to the MOC was tops
  2. Very nice work, I will take a closer look soon, off to work in a few minutes. I expected the gatehouses to be a little more detailed, though could you have the walls 12 high just on the ends to join up to the smaller modules. Then you can step up to as high as you want it. As Thrash said, you may choose the room, but the dimensions are already set. Do you wish to join up, if so I will put you into Beta and let me know what you want to have a crack at too. Thrash, I appreciate all the help, and Jim too. I will take a closer look at Thrash's work soon. Zepher, cant wait to see what you make, hope Thrash's 3d plan helps.
  3. Thank you all for the nice comments I was inspired by the Lagoon Lockup remake a while back, and decided this was a set that needed an overhaul! Bricklink is my friend, and can be yours too
  4. Welcome aboard Zepher, its never too late to join! You will slot into Team Alpha. Please read all the rules in first post and start the good times rolling. Any idea what you would like to start with, I will put you down on the list to build that/those modules. Cheers ISC
  5. Vig. 53b Eldorado Fortress MOC Some older pirate fans may remember 6276 Eldorado Fortress from the original Pirate line. Well I never had the chance to own it so I made my own. Here is the original for comparison. Now my version. With a fully functioning crane, loads of firepower, a storage pit and jail. Hope you enjoyed this. More pics can be found at Flickr and Brickshelf (when moderated) Here's a couple if you want more now 1, 2
  6. Its tough to give an exact date as its a catch 22. If we 30 members are allowed to submit an entry, and are also trying to help our team win, it creates conflicting emotions. Do you help your team out or yourself. Rest assured it wont be up in the next couple of days. I still need to iron out all the rules stuff with the mods. Slow down man! just kidding nice work again, I will go and check it all out soon, and see how you made the Buttery barrels too.
  7. Thanks Thrash! I will update the first post again The Buttery is awesome as usual. I have just built two wall sections so get ready for two modules coming soon. Wizards Guild and I think Dwarven embassy. Cheers mate make sure you enjoy Hincks and then give me a heads up when we are getting close to MCII, can't wait. GOOD NEWS EBCCB members we have been given the all clear to run a competition. At this stage I was thinking of having a vote for Beta vs Alpha as one part of comp, with a random winner or two who vote. Another idea is for any Eurobricks member to make a module. For this I'm not sure whether it should be one module idea only or any of the 16 x16 options. Say for example everyone can submit a Blacksmith. Thoughts? maybe the module will be something that isn't even on the list..... Also there will be prizes, though since I'm donating they will probably only be Impulse sets or something, so don't expect it to be as big as Pillage the Village was
  8. Great work Duke! I love the angled walls and the flags, windows and characters. Say, anytime you want to make a module for the Comm Castle build, let me know. Shameless recruitment drive over
  9. I am a master motivator mate! Though it is hard to take you seriously as Alpha team leader with that new Baritones Sig Fig Maybe Im just jealous I missed sign up
  10. Way to go Newright! I will put you down for those. Another idea for a possible comp includes each team nominating there strongest entries. Also this idea may stimulate people to submit more entries before we move to voting stage, like say the Stables and front and back gatehouse members LOL Oh and a new members comp too
  11. Welcome aboard to Newright, who PMed me about joining. He is in Beta and i expect him to post here soon telling what modules he would like to have a go at.
  12. Thats just awesome, Its exactly how I envisaged a War room! Loving the dramatis personae as well. The General is very cool, and the custom map is sweet. Any chance of shipping me one of those LOL or showing us how to make one and what its printed on. That wizard has his work cut out protecting those hapless knights
  13. Not a bad idea, I guess for Alpha you could change it to Acceptable Alpha If we change it to Beta = Better, then perhaps a good one for Alpha would be Awesome Alpha or Alpha = Awesome (Though I still think Beta is hotter, I have to show my support for Alpha ) This is good, its stirring up some rivalry already
  14. Great to hear the interest is out there. I may approach the mods to see if we can run it as a random raffle for a Castle Impulse set or something..... It would be great to see those banners on the frontpage of EB promoting the contest too. Perhaps the same size as the one in the Sig would be better Thrash.
  15. Well you are doing better than me, my wife only humors me at this stage. I will bring her to the dark side soon..... Great news about sets already appearing. I think even though i don't by Town sets, the minfigure pack is a must (as well as BBQ chef ) Some BP's may be in order too. Cheers
  16. Thank you Hinckley for bringing back Iris and Darlene! Sorry Draggy but i finally got you in the end I will be watching you all closely, so look out rats! Of course I wont spill any beans, cause I aint no dirty rat
  17. Sounds good, I will put you in Team Alpha. Alright Castle fans! Who thinks I should randomly pick say 3 Modules from each thread and put them up against each other in a Alpha vs Beta round one fight/vote off thread? Now if that was confusing, I will pick three random entries from Alpha and match them against Beta for a bragging rights team spirit thingy. How does this sound? Maybe the winning team gets a reward for a month or something. Maybe I could make a avatar/signature pic with some pretty text from Thrash for the winning team each time. Let me know your thoughts. ISC
  18. All hail svelte_corps! Best intro ever! If the chrome plated svelte figure is your current avatar I will be both disturbed and want to own one I can't wait to get this when it comes out retail in Aus along with the Pirate impulses. Great review packed full of exceptional humour. Cheers
  19. It was me, and i didn't make the cut as a character, how sad Iscreamateari! I reckon I better get on that reserve list then, unless Iris is making a cameo comeback! Wont someone think of the childrens Oh, nevermind I just noticed the 10 day old thread for signing up Enjoy people, if its as good as the last one it will be insane!
  20. KimT, you are a courageous person taking on this monumental task! Perhaps I can help somewhere, I only have one light grey baseplate, though I guess I could use plates as well. I have Sandcrawler figs, plus loads more. Though i I were to dump all these haphazardly on you it would be a nightmare. Perhaps limit people to one movie at a time as far as the collection goes and build it up that way.
  21. Lalande, I actually looked through the Brickshelf gallery yesterday and wondered when you were going to share it with us. Great job on the Glazer, lots of kooky characters and nice furnishings too.
  22. Sorry for the confusion, I meant all the previously mentioned shops owned by Coles also includes Myers in addition to that list. This is based on old knowledge of my time working for the Coles Myer group, and we used to have a discount card that worked at Grace Bros/ Myer in addition to the listed shops on the Coles website. They may have since split from the company, though this would be wierd to name it Myer if this was the case. I was refering to your list. I am aware that the other companies are owned by wollworths etc. No harm done, just misunderstanding Cheers
  23. Coles Myer used to be all the above mentioned stores and Grace Bros/Myer. I wasn't aware of any split so I assume Myer falls under the Coles entity. It was strange at our local Target, they had Good Wizards rampaging all over the shelfs, and as I hadn't seen any impulses there earlier in the year, I snapped up a fair few of them at $5 each too. So old impulse at the 09 prices, sweet.
  24. Maybe it all comes down to market research on what they feel will sell well in each country, or perhaps they like to create exclusive markets for certain sets. I have helped a number of US members out with Good wizard and Castle Advents myself, so in this regard it has helped me build up friends in the wider Lego community. You may also wish to listen to this interview with Steve Witt on LAML as it explains the Castle Advent scenario.
  25. Well, I am trying my darndest to make it either this year or next depending on how my finances are. Did I mention I live in Australia. So if my enthusiasm and Badgers stunning description aren't enough to convince you then I don't know what will.
