  1. You realize you will only save $2.50 by waiting don't you? Was the flying wing a TRU exclusive, or you saw it at Kmart?
  2. Now you are making me jealous! I don't have any black falcons yet..... Is this an entry into the competition? Cheers ISC
  3. Not to mention filling your inbox/outbox up a lot quicker. When in doubt obv tick the box, or if not just message the member again to ask them to send the original back to you Though if it were for a specific trade, there is nothing stopping the other person from altering the quoted material.
  4. Well its not rational thinking thats for sure! Have you been speaking to my wife or something? Voices of Reason have no place with a lego addiction! Well I would love a skiff set of magnets figures too. So you wont be spotting all the sales on the Aussie thread if you move Still you gotta go where the cash is, and you will still be on EB bugging me
  5. This is probably one of my favourite MOCs ever and it was a truly awesome submission to the CCC. The barrel, secret lair, well, all the action in the bar. Just great work all round. I honestly thought I had replied to this earlier.
  6. TLC has finally gotten around selling SW figures without a set. There was talk of conflicts between TLC and Hasbro I think about licensing when it comes to producing SW figures. Attach the normal figure to a base, stud attachment not glued, and you now have a way of getting cool figures without spending $280 on Solar Sailer, AAT, and Republic Shuttle. As an aside, a friend from Lego stated that LEGO hates the ridiculous after market prices charged on BL etc for minifigs, so its an attempt to curb this as well. The figures are exaclty the same as the normal ones in everyway. fully movable and pull apartable (nice word) just coming with a magnet brick as base. For someone like myself who has missed out on Slave Leia, Anakin, Darth Maul, Mace, Yoda etc its a godsend
  7. Perhaps it is still part of a larger vessel, this is why there are large technic pins below the hangar, to slide this part in and out of the ship. Just a thought. Great figs and I will finally have an A-Wing
  8. *cough* frontpaged after my useless topic*cough* maybe Shanghai chase is a better way to go, def better figs and it will show up in shops too. Sorry mate at this stage I may pass on an order, unless they miraculously find more Garages on sale Besides, Im moving house soon, so ordering will prove most problematic as to where to send it
  9. Well I will consider that a double kick to the backside then
  10. I might be putting an order in soon to get the Custom Garage, so HB I will PM you if this happens. ISC Radiak is (Call to check Availability) at the moment though. Well the Garage has completely sold out guess Natelite picked them all up? or someone else who reads these forums
  11. Link Here is the new City magnet set, makes me wonder how many more themes will be coming out. Power miners anybody? EDIT: Im an unobservant goose, I just saw the post in the City 09 Thread. My apologies to the Town MODS for making a useless post. Cheers
  12. Ok HB and DL, you need to tone your responses down just as much as 5150, that is the whole reason this is spiralling out of control. Please show some maturity in the way you are addressing 5150 as well. This will only help the situation. Cheers ISC
  13. You are correct in that they are discriminating against non Aus and NZ lego fans, but that is all. Im not sure what you are trying to prove otherwise. It is unfortunate that this site doesn't cater to fans from all around the world but don't try to make this a campaign, it was only ever meant to be a fun idea for Lego fans from Australia and New Zealand to discuss local issues and sales etc, with a chance of people being able to meet up at future events in Australia or NZ without having to travel to Europe or US, thus incuring huge travel costs etc. Think of it as an Aussie/NZ lug, of which there are many around the world. HB and DL have gone out of their way to launch and maintain a website, and though they are younger than AFOL's and have been a tad inflammatory in their responses to your posts, they will only mature as the years go by. Running a website like theirs will teach them a lot as well about Moderation and differing points of view from many people, so take heart that your opinions haven't fallen on deaf ears, but this should never be a personal attack on any person involved in either side of the argument. It is fortunate that you have found a great place like Eurobricks which has enabled you (and myself ) to make friends from all over the world who share a love of Lego, perhaps we should all just calm down and walk away from this issue. I hope these comments help diffuse the situation, and don't hesitate to contact me if any of this was worded incorrectly etc. Josh
  14. I better PM Hewman, he may want a few now, or maybe a group order is required. Seems to be a pricing mistake that probably wont last long. Looks like the Custom garage is half price too. Might be worth a look.
  15. Happy BDay to you all, esp my fellow Aussie Svelte, I hope you take a bite out of dinner and not the other way around
  16. In that case use your judgment, and you can then show us in the normal CCB thread to decide if we feel the overhang isn't too severe. My first thought is to try your best to confine the module to the size of the module to stop any issues like this. This is after all what all the other entries are doing
  17. Let me state that I wont be commenting on any Modules unless they aren't comp entries, in an effort to remain non biased for voting purposes. If they aren't then I am happy to comment or critique away
  18. I have no problem with slight overhang at the front of outside modules, as you mentioned there have been many previous modules like this and the still join up without a problem to other modules. I will talk to Sir Dillon and possible add a description one way or the other to the rules. Stay tuned
  19. Thanks Thrash and WBD for more cool modules and Thumbs too Thrash. Man if we get a large no. of entries Thrash, you are going to have a lot of work to do. I know, how rude! I may edit the poll LOL, actually I will, freedom of speech be damned Let me state that I wont be commenting on any Modules unless they aren't comp entries, in an effort to remain non biased for voting purposes. If they aren't then I am happy to comment or critique away
  20. Try and keep the module to a 16 x 16 size as I would like you to be able to enter the comp and also I cant see the bums having more real estate than others in this town cool vagrants btw. Thats a great idea.
  21. Buttons, this competition in no way cheapens what has come before it. Thrash and all the other previous contributors had fun making all the unique modules, hence why they continue to be a strong part of the community aspect of the build (and all the trash talking). As Sir Dillon mentioned the competition is to get more people excited about what we are doing here, and hopefully pick up a few new members who will become long term contributors too. The fact that everyone must submit new creations is ideal as it stimulates the brain to move forward rather than relying on past creations and challenges all involved to create new exciting modules. There is nothing stopping people revolutionizing previous designs from other members, we would just prefer you don't submit creations that were already WIP as it is an unfair advantage to others who have just started to build now. In finishing, we will be voting as a community on which team is the best anyway, so people like Thrash etc who have submitted multiple creations still have a chance of being the best team,......at least until we run the whole show again in another year or so. So get on creating Buttons and surprise us with some creations, who knows you might help your team win and also claim a free impulse set for your trouble
  22. Adam's link didn't work for Hopes009 amazing creations so try this one. Here is his Fire Demon. His work is very inspiring, as are the others. The link from Tin7 has some cool centaurs. Maybe we should make up an index or perhaps Sir Dillon could add it to the MOC index.
  23. You need to read the rules in the discussion topic, it will answer all your queries, such as team allocation.
  24. You can make your own banner but please don't deface the superioty that is the Beta Banner Silly Alphans always trying to cut us down. Classic Tall Poppy syndrome We even have a hole in the wall repairs module for you to choose from, so its fine. here here, its like he still has feelings about missing out on Beta
  25. Make sure if it is a comp entry you post it in the entries thread to be considered.
