Having preliminary pictures is important because some of us are on a tight LEGO budget, and it is a good thing to plan ahead, so unexpected reveals of awesome sets don't blow away our carefully-planned, thought-through budget .

I think this is one of those MOCs where it is impossible to say anything beyond 'WOOOOOW', just let the pictures speak for themselves. I join those who say that it would be great to see a comparison pic with 10030, if it's possible, just so we could completely appreciate the scale of it.

You're right, it was probably around the time we first started speculation about the sets. The new informations by Hulk_Smash render everything before that obsolete.

These are looking great! My biggest criticism is that the ground is too plain, especially in the Musketeer one. I think you should add some different colored pieces (dark tan or brown for the Mariachis, brightly-colored 1x1 round plates for the Musketeer one as flowers).

Maybe because it would have been based on real countries, and people from the country that got the 'bad guy' role would have been offended?

Hi everybody! Sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't have time to read all 30 pages of this thread. I purchased the boxer minifig, and when I assembled it, I found, to my surprise, that the helmet doesn't fit the figure with the medal on. Is this the same with everybody, or is it just an error with the mold? I find it strange that this got through TLG's quality control. Thanks!

At the LEGO store I saw LotR keychains, there was a Gimli, a Gandalf and a Mordor Orc one, for $5.

Thanks for the advice! Having the chains around the wrists of the minifig is a great idea, I will definitely change that, but unfortunately I don't have time to take pictures of it now.

I've posted my first freebuild for the title Lord High Executioner, Let the enemies die!

I've made my first Avalonian MOC, for the title Lord High Executioner. This was a relatively easy build, but it was a fun one. On one picture some parts are missing, can you guess which one? No one knows where he came from. No one knows why he looks like this. His head is white as a bone, with blood-red eyes. The last thing the ones he kills see is the sight of his horrible face.

This is my entry: Malina Thalen was a companion of Wylliam Trumbel during his long travels. When he settled down in Avalonia, he invited her to live in his new castle. She is an expert fighter who uses twin swords which she helped forge. She got her scar on her face duelling a giant minotaur.

I think we'll be seeing more EU sets like the TOR ones this summer. Maybe something from the Thrawn trilogy? Other than that, I think they'll redo most of the older miifigs, maybe multiple times, and they might put extremely obscure characters in sets as fillers.

The Swamp Monster set looks nice, and it is also inexpensive. I might buy that one, too.

I am going to the US in about a week, and I'm thinking about picking up some LotR sets (I don't own any yet). I have about $80 to spend on LEGO, so the question is: which set(s) to get?
