This is the first LEGO Bat I've ever seen, and it's brilliant! It would be great to have something like this in the official TDKR set!

Excellent MOCs! I really like the use of the masonry bricks. Gollum is great for a mini-troll. What is the red piece on the top of Little Red's basket?

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Bricktooth replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You're right! Atfer seeing the new Superheroes pics, I find it a good thing that IMO half of the figs are terrible. Need to save up money for Superheroes, LotR and Hobbit sets. -
Finally some pictures! I'll get the TDKR set no matter what! Is this the first official Gordon fig? The Mr.Freeze fig looks great, I'll probably pick that set up, too, along with the Venom one, and the ones with Nick Fury and Dr.Doom. I don't know anything about Nova and Beetle, are they from the Spiderman cartoon?

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Thanks for the pictures CM4S! My thoughts are kind of mixed on this series. One half is excellent, with minifigures fans have been waiting for a long time, like the Conquistador and the Diver, but the other half is made up of boring repetitions, like the Robot, which is a combination of the S1 Robot and the S3 Space Villain. Broken down to each fig: -1800's guy: looks good, but I would like a closeup. Maybe he's Dr. Watson? -American football player: I wonder what's the ball like. -Cheerleader: a recolor of the S1 one. Boring. -Female alien: I'm a bit on the line with this one. Probably I'll buy it. -Conquistador: excellent figure! Is that a gold armor piece? -Robot: see my comment on the series. -Bavarian Guy: looks good. Is that the new pretzel mold from the Bag End set? -Fairy: a disappointment. I expected something like one of those drawings that many minifigures have been based on. -Cowgirl: nice hat+hair piece. I probably won't get this, because I'm not into Western. Is that Wonder Woman's lasso? -DJ: looks good, the headphones are great. -Man-Bat: this is great for those who don't want to buy the Vampyre Castle, but want the new arm piece. -Diver: great figure! Are those 1x1 plates under the feet? -Pirate: great figure, is that a gold pirate sword? -Skier: average, but it can be useful for mountain MOCs. -Santa: great new hat and bag mold. -Hamlet: my personal favorite figure, great printing, and that neck piece can come in handy for Castle MOCs. -
A close-up of Captain America:

Unfortunately in my country the film comes out on the 26th, instead of the 20th like most of the world, so that probably means no internet for a week for me.

I agree with the others saying that LEGO will eventually release these minifigs. Venom is one of the most iconic Spiderman/Marvel villains, so making it only as an exclusive figure would be a terrible move for them. BTW, will the Man of Steel sets be in the next wave? If so, maybe we'll get a sneak peek of the redesigned Superman minifig.

Thanks for the compliments! The ground was really uneven there, although it may not be visible in the picture, and it was hard to pose the minifigs, that's why they are so static. As for the nervous Rebel, after seeing this, he has every reason to be!

This is with Padmé's head: The only problem with this is that the eyebrows are brown and the hair is orange, but except for that the head fits well. I don't have the new Leia fig, so I can't do a picture with that head.

Hope I bring some life into this thread with this picture. The Rebels are exploring Endor.

At the store where I buy them, they identifiy the figs, and you can either find out yourself which figure it is for less than MSRP, or you can buy the identified ones for about $0,50 extra. -
Great work on those Oky, excellent, as always! Here is my next Superheroes funny, as I promised: Thanks for the compliments for my first one!

If you are buying the minifigs from the box, there are pictures of them on it, which can be really helpful. If that option isn't available, you could look up the figs you need in WhiteFang's reviews, and write down the parts that can be easily identifiable. -
Terrific job! This is a great improvement over the original set! Too bad TLG didn't release the set like this.

Identifying Collectible LEGO Minifigures by their weight
Bricktooth replied to bartneck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The touch and feel method has worked for me with 100% accuracy, so I don't think I'll be using this, but thanks for making it anyway. However, some figs, like the Bunny Suit Guy and the Hippie have nearly the exact same weight, so you need to feel the packs to be sure.- 40 replies

Maybe it's related to a possible 2013 Space Marines theme? -
These look great! I've heard rumors that the White Council will be in the film. If that's true, maybe we'll get a Saruman minifig. Hopefully they'll reveal more figs at Comic-Con (and a new trailer for the film).

I think it's because it has more in common with the Castle themes than the other licenses. The same thing happened with Pirates of the Caribbean.

[Review] 30201 Monster Fighters ghost polybag
Bricktooth replied to Lego Amaryl's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excellent review! This is a nice little set, the ghost figure is great. I think the clock would be a great addition to the Haunted House.
